Chrysler 200 3.6 P069DD engine code

I have an old 2011 chrysler 200 with a 3.6 engine that has a check engine code p06dd and after inspection the oil pressure sensor works fine but the high pressure valve on the oil pump seems to be stuck off as the code says, i checkd the oil pressure with a scanner from autel and i get a reading from 30 psi to 95 when accelerating over 3000 rpm, the car runs fine, no limp mode since i can drive over 80 miles no problem, if i clear the code the car runs a little faster but the code returns after a while, i talked to a shop to replace the pump switch and they said not to worry since i get enough oil pressure so i can just keep driving like that.

Has anyone here had that same issue? any advice is aprecciated.

thanks!

What is this

I’ve been wondering for months what this is. It’s right above the air conditioner knobs and directly above the rear defroster button in a 2009 Chrysler 300 if anybody know it would be appreciated

2010 chrysler town and country headlights issues

Hi, I have 2010 town and country mom van. I have an automated headlight system and my headlights have a mind of their own and like to not turn on sometimes and be out for random amounts of days then randomly come back on and work just fine. We have tried everything, the fuses, replacing the headlights, replacing the radiator, checking the imp, checking the battery, and even checking for loose wiring. The only thing we haven't fiddled with is the sensor that triggers the automatic lights. We are thinking about just replacing the the automatic lighting to be manual lighting with a manual switch and disabling the night sensor. If someone could give advice about this van or about rewiring headlighting from auto to manual that would be awesome :)

Chrysler 200 2015

I recently upgraded my stereo to a boss 9” stereo. The problem is I lost steering wheel controls, and I lost climate controls because they were on the screen. Is there a way to get my steering wheel controls back, and or my climate controls?

Upgrades to 2006 Pacifica suspension?

I just bought a 2006 sebring and noticed the underside is creaking and riding a bit hard, so I was wondering. Are there any suspension upgrades that fit my vehicle? Like, I know the oem parts are good enough, but I’m looking for something that maybe rides a just a bit more softly than your average suspension. I also delivery drive for a living, so I want something that’s not gonna wear out too quickly. Also, maybe any suggestions for the tie rods on something that could be considered better than oem parts?

Info on new jeep grand cherokee limited

I'm looking to buy a new car and love the new 2024 jeep grand cherokee limited. But wanted to know if anyone is having any big issues with them? Are they still using the soy wiring? because I heard mice love to chew them! I don't even want to mention that I'm looking at a Toyota too because then everyone will say obviously get a Toyota for reliability. The new jeeps just look soo good! Any information on 2024 jeep grand cherokees please let me know even the 2023 or 2022s because they are basically the same. If you have a 2022 or 2023 have you had any major issues? Anyone know about the new 8 speed transmission? My 2012 jeep grand cherokee has the 3.6 engine with 5 speed and had to replace the transmission around 70k. I'm just wondering if the 8 speed is better

possible Multi-function relay/ Front control module replacement Advice

Back story:

Mom-in-laws van

2007 T&C. Sits for long times and driven very short distances. Battery good and alternator good but just having a deficit.

She got a jump and everything good.

I went over and gave her a jump with a portable pack, but the on/off switch on my pack melted (appeared to be a cheap switch and there was high resistance across the switch, and it was enough to melt the switch) and since then, the van has acted erratically.

Symptoms: Domes light won't work. Power locks won't work, AM radio won't work, ABS light on, can't change vents, stays on defrost. Can't activate AC, and heater doesn't appear to heat up (this last one, I haven't confirmed).

Steps taken thus far: removed the IOD fuse for 10 minutes, removed IOD for several hours. removed battery post clamps and clamped them together for several hours, removed battery post clamps clamped them together with IOD fuse removed for several hours. Checked all fuses - OK. No noted corrosion on the connectors

I believe I have done due diligence and believe there was some damage to the 05144579AC unit.

Questions:

A) no of anyway of testing this? or opening it up?

B) very doubtful to a yes on to A, so if I was to purchase one and replace, what procedures (if any) are needed to ensure it comes up OK? Will the Odometer be affected? Anything else I should be aware of?

What type of gas should I use?

Hey yall, this is kind of silly but what gas should i be putting in a 2014 200 Limited (V6)? I’ve been putting in E85 since I got the car but I just read that the car is capable of taking Flex Fuel and E87, both of which were said should be used over E85. Does it make a difference? Thanks!

I’m trying to buy breaks for my 2014 Chrysler 300c hemi. People from ten years ago were talking about power stop Z23 or Z26. Does anyone have knowledge on these brakes and a trust worthy place buy if they are good?

Chrysler 200 e85 flex fuel

I don’t know cars. I got my first car (Chrysler 200 2014 e85 flex fuel) last month. I filled the first tank with premium gas but this time I filled e85 with 1/8th tank of premium still left. Should I have waited to let it empty? Or were did I have to do anything before switching fuel?

2016 town and country- low battery key fob

T&C is saying the key fob battery is low. I replaced both batteries and it continued to say the battery was low. Odds that both fobs are bad makes me think it's the receiver for the push to start.

Works fine if you put the key in and turn it- my question will that keep working forever or will it eventually not start?

Persistent Dashboard Gauge Failure in High-Mileage 2010 Chrysler Sebring - Seeking Expert Advice

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to the community in search of guidance and expertise regarding a persistent issue with my 2010 Chrysler Sebring. Since February 12, 2024, all the dashboard gauges, including the speedometer, tachometer, fuel, and coolant temperature gauges, have ceased functioning. Despite this, the odometer (showing 223,217 miles) still operates, and the dashboard lights up as usual when the headlights are turned on, including the warning lights such as the no seatbelt indicator.

A little background might help: I've owned this car since 2011, purchasing it used with around 30,000 miles on it, making me the second owner. This vehicle has been reliable, with the instrument cluster working flawlessly from fall 2015 until now. The high mileage may or may not play a role in this issue, but I thought it worth mentioning for a complete picture.

To manage without the gauges, I've been using Android Auto and Wyze on my upgraded car stereo system for speed monitoring. Additionally, I've contemplated using my OBD2 reader to display real-time car statistics on my phone during drives.

In January 2024, I replaced the car's battery, but unlike a similar issue in 2015 where a new battery fixed the gauge problem, this time, it hasn't helped. My OBD2 scan showed no fault codes, and the engine light remains off.

Given this context, I'm seeking advice on several fronts:

  1. With my car's high mileage, could this be a contributing factor to the instrument cluster failure? Has anyone with a high-mileage vehicle experienced similar issues?
  2. Are there any specific reset commands or procedures for the 2010 Sebring's instrument cluster that could resolve this problem?
  3. I'm considering disconnecting the battery to reset the car's electrical system. Is this advisable, or could it cause further complications?
  4. What fuses or relays should I inspect or test within the car's electrical system that might be linked to the instrument cluster's functionality?
  5. Given my current use of Android Auto for speed readings and considering using the OBD2 reader for additional diagnostics while driving, are there more integrated or comprehensive troubleshooting or diagnostic approaches I should consider?

I'm eager for any troubleshooting, diagnostics, and electrical testing recommendations you might have. Any guidance on how to proceed to effectively solve this issue would be immensely helpful.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. Your expertise and insights could be crucial in helping me navigate and hopefully resolve this challenging situation with my cherished vehicle.

P.S., I know its time for a new car :)

I need some vehicle help

So i have a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to use the factory stereo’s streaming while driving. I know you can watch movies while the car is in park, but you cannot while you have the car in drive. I was wondering if anyone knows a FREE way to bypass this problem.

I’ll take any knowledge and tips that anyone has, thank you. 🙏🏽
