Ram 2500 UCONNECT

I purchased a 2020 ram 2500 with Uconnect.. (8.4 in touch screen) much to my surprise, it doesn't have navigation. I wonder if there is any way to add it to the existing system?

1974 318 options?

Hi all,

I bought a 1974 Plymouth satellite 4dr a few months ago and I think it’s gonna need a motor soon. 318 2bbl w/ a904

It has a lot of blowby all the time and only runs on a few cylinders until the engine warms up. I was told it had and was given receipts for a summit 6901 cam but the thing is gutless, it won’t even chirp the 205/75s if you mash it off the line.

The carb is a later Carter BBD and has a vacuum leak from a worn out throttle shaft. I plan to fix this and see if the engine puts out more power but the blowby still worries me. Do vacuum leaks noticeably affect power on these engines?

Should I roll the dice on a FB marketplace special or bring the block to a machine shop to have it bored and install larger rings? I don’t want to spend more than $800-1,000 on the whole operation and I’ll be doing all the labor of pulling and disassembling everything at home.

I’m sure a lot of you have been in a similar situation so any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Part name

I am gathering parts for my first restoration and I was hoping someone could give me the actual name of the circled part so that I can order a new one. The one on the passenger side is missing. It is on a 1969 Coronet. Thank you all very much for your help!

Ok, I bought parts and a car followed me home...

Caught someone getting rid of their stuff at fire sale prices, and bought a bunch of parts... and this '71 Satellite Sebring came along. Fairly ugly, but saveable. Originally a 318 car... currently has a '65 413 in it. What? And ya, it has a giant shaker scoop hole in the hood, and came with a complete NIB repro shaker setup.

Dodge Charger Engine

Serious question. Why does the 7th gen charger R/Ts sound different than the 8th gen? I never gotten a straight answer. Just stupid things like oh just change the muffler. No that isn't because both cars straight pipped does not sound the same, why is that??? Is it possible to make the 7thnd gen sound like the 8th gen?

Thank you! Again I apologize if that's a stupid question, but I admit I don't know shyt about cars.

Smallest/lightest truck that will fit a 440?

I have a gutted 1980 RV with a running 440 with thermo quad and 727. I was going to rebuild the interior but decided against it. Rather than try to sell a gutted RV, I'm thinking of yanking the engine and tranny and swapping them into something for a fun street truck to play with, and trashing the RV.

What's the smallest or lightest truck then can fit a 440 without serious mods to the firewall or frame? I'd love to do one of the muscle cars, but they're all too pricey, even in terrible condition. But many of the trucks are still attainable.

Got my 2nd gen registered and finally got to take her for a spin.

After month, long debacle of waiting for paperwork to file for title and registration (due to the previous title being damaged) I finally was able to register my ram today. After registering it, I took it out for the drive and to get it washed up as it had a thick of dirt and grime on it. I learned that I definitely need to rebuild the front steering components and possibly rebuild the rear end.

Other than the steering reinforcement bracket and replacing the steering stabilizer ball joints, tie, rods, and drag link, is there anything else in the front end that I should replace when rebuilding it?

Also, if I do end up needing to put new gears in the rear end, should I go ahead and just upgrade to a steeper gear right now or wait until I can afford to put 2500 axles under the truck?

Thanks for the advice ahead of time

Perfect project duster

I had picked this 73 Plymouth duster 360 up from a guy that I traded a dirt bike for, it has almost no rust on anything a solid patina and tons of new and good quality old parts, it's been sitting since 83 the guy said, and it still has the keys and title, any suggestions what I should do to it and how did I did with the trade.

Harmon Kardon issue

2017 Dodge Challenger srt 392, harmon kardon system. I’m getting really bad/staticky audio from what sounds like a dash speaker in the middle of the dash. If I reset the radio it’ll stop doing it for a second. Would this mean it’s blown? And does anyone know of any good replacements? Currently have my audio only coming from the back of the car bc it sounds so bad up there.Thanks.
