I'm curious about your perceptions. TIA.
I know kinda random but I would figure they would have something
....especially because there is a separate $72M bond for street maintenance and repair. This "Transportation" bond issue seems fishy to me.
That's right. Tonight, for the last time, we do something small, insignificant, and never given a second thought. We set the clocks back for the last time.
In 2022 the sunshine protection act passed, abolishing daylight savings. It goes into effect tomorrow. Officially the clocks roll back at 2am, but many I know set their clocks back the night prior before bed.
I have no idea why this change bums me out. I know many who detest daylight savings. But I felt it prudent to say something, lest this historic moment pass without notice.
Goodbye, daylight savings. At least one person will miss you.
My new job doesn’t start until November 18. I’m sitting fine financially while I wait. What would you do in Omaha for fun or to make money until your new job starts? I’m open to anything from day labor to day trips.
I’d love to have options…I’m aware of Hy-Vee, anyone know of any other places?? I’m having 23 over this year!! Wish me luck.
Hey I'm not from the area originally, I'm looking for eye doctors in the area that might accept Nebraska Molina Medicaid? Thanks!
2019 Lexus IS 300 AWD with some performance mods needs a factory ish service and update but don’t want to get screwed by a dealer…
60k miles, well maintained with the engine light one suddenly
Hey guys! Question for y’all. I just got out of a long term relationship and would like to try and meet someone organically this time around. I’m not quite ready yet, but would love some ideas of volunteer opportunities, clubs, etc to meet people. I’m in my late twenties, loves animals, work in healthcare, and have no kids, if any of that helps. Thanks!
It would appear that no one is running against Tim Schram, at least there is no one on the ballot. Anyone seen ads for someone running against him, or have an idea of someone to write in?
Just had a pretty big power surge (looked like good size area including the zoo). Any one know whats up? Its not like there is any bad weather that would normally be the case?
I’ve started collecting McDs happy meal toys that I find at the thrift world. I started on Tuesday! I’ve already got a good collection going. What’s the best toy selection for thrift stores? I know I can get them on eBay but that’s cheating. And not as fun!
Taking the kids to a lancers game for first time and don’t want to be in the line of fire.
I unfortunately keep seeing a specific ad about LB439 that states it will "force taxpayers to fund all abortions" and I seriously do not understand how they can make this claim legally. There is no wording whatsoever in the bill or amending text about this and federal law would not allow it either. I know attack ads are crazy, but how can they blatantly lie? Are there any legal repercussions that can be taken against the PAC funding this or the people involved? I'm so sick of this bullshit.
Bonus points if it’s in central Omaha. My mom is coming to visit and I dropped the ball on asking this question a couple days ago.
Hi everyone, I've been trying to get quotes to caulk my driveway. I've only been able to get one company to respond with a quote of just over $2k. I have a three car garage/driveway. This quote includes the sidewalk, the entire driveway, and sealing it. Does that amount seem reasonable to others? Thanks!
Hey Omaha folks! I'll be moving to downtown Omaha in mid-December, and here’s the kicker: I’m just starting driving lessons, so getting my own car before Christmas is off the table. I also don’t know anyone who could drive me yet.
For the first couple of months, I'm trying to figure out the best way to get groceries. I was thinking about just using Uber once a week to do a big grocery run, but I’m open to other ideas too. Are there any grocery delivery services, good stores within walking distance, or other hacks for downtown Omaha?
Would love to hear what works for locals, especially in winter! Thanks in advance!
What's up with the sirens this morning?

Hey there,
I have had TMJ pain for the past two years and it has always made my inner ears ache at times.
I have had it flare up with acidic food in my throat etc or coffee.
That being said I avoid those issues, but it comes back from time to time and wanted to know if anyone knew a good oral surgeon in the Omaha area for TMJ?
Asking since the resulting ear hotness and fullness is the weirder part of the pain that I hate.
I've seen an ENT for it, but it was some boomer that told me that only a surgeon could consider this and that it probably wouldn't be covered, so I've had shitty medical advice so far on the issue.
Curious for your thoughts thanks.
