I worked at UNO for a couple of decades. Thought it was a great place to work for the first ten years…, and then the downward spiral began. It was probably just my specific college that I worked in there, but it turned into an absolute nightmare. I’ll tell you all more about it if anyone is interested.
Does the uni have wired connection for residents?
Does anyone know anything about the dual degree option of masters of social work and masters of science in criminology and criminal justice? looking to start online courses fall of 25 and working on an app but would love any input.
I am thinking about taking an online Spanish class but I can't find much information on how they work and if this class is worth taking.. Has anyone taken one of these classes? Can you give me some details? Thank you
Hello, I will be in a incoming freshman next year to UNO. Both Scott Crossing and Scott Court have academic leases. I will have a car as I am an aviation major and will need to go to the airport a couple times a week. I do not plan to go home on the weekends as I am from out of state. Is one dorm more social than the other? I have read a lot of people go home on the weekends. Pros/Cons for each? Also, I am planning on getting a food plan so Dodge does not seem like a great option for that reason for me. TIA!
I’m a senior in hs who’s looking into data science. I would like some advice from anyone who is taking this path. It seems like a major in Mathematics with a concentration in Data Science is best (right?), but what did you minor in?
I realised my graduate application status changed from " in program review" to "decisioned". Please has anyone encountered such before and what decision followed afterwards
I find it ridiculous that we pay over $200 to park our vehicles by our dorm yet we aren't guaranteed to have a parking spot?! Why enroll so many students in one residential building to the point to where students have to drive around to find a spot far away from their building? This is coming from a student that has lived on campus a couple of years now.
My name is Heather and I am a second-year dental hygiene student at Iowa Western. I am looking for patients who need a "deep cleaning" or have periodontal disease to fill my upcoming clinic schedule.
• The appointments will be held at a dental school in downtown Omaha • The appointments are on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8 am, and Thursdays at 1 pm • A majority of dental insurances are accepted INCLUDING Medicare and Medicaid!! • No dental insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are discounted by 50%.
If you are interested or have more questions, please feel free to contact me via 712-485-4547 or my email is Heathermil7287@outlook.com
So I know that if a student shows up to a game they get in with their MavCard, but if I'm bringing a guest do I need to purchase her ticket ahead of time or can we pay for the guest tickets when we get their and they take my MavCard. If we do have to do it ahead of time and online, how do we signify that we're buying the ticket as my plus one?
Hey all! Any MPA students in here?
I just wanted to let you know there's a discord available for all of us.
I'm not going to say it's anything incredibly amazing or even up and popping right now. But I think getting some people in there will help with that.
So here's an invite: https://discord.gg/uUc2gVSd
The link expires in seven days

How do yall find out about local concerts and shows in the area? I'm a comedian on tour coming to headline The Sydney in Benson Monday 9/9 and I was wondering if there were any local blogs, Instagram pages, arts papers, or events calanders folks look to to find out about shows. Any info is appreciated!

May the odds be ever in your favor. Suggestions?
Ride ORBT.
If you don't have to be on campus Monday morning, don't drive there "just to find my classrooms."
Don't park in employee parking lots (ticket$).
With classing starting up next week, I am wondering when I can expect to see my courses become active on canvas.
Thanks in advance!
Hoping to review a past syllabus of either of these courses as a way of preparing. Anyone happen to have a syllabus for a past session of either of these classes?
Thanks in advance
I'm currently enrolled to begin some graduate work with the Department of Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis at UNO. I'm enrolled in their Data Analytics Certificate program for this fall and have an intention to apply the credits earned during that program toward an M.S. in Data Science offered through the department.
All this said, I am curious if has anyone has any thoughts, insights, or opinions on this department. Some of the ratemyprofessors reviews of faculty are pretty abysmal and it has me worried.
Thanks in advance, ANY input is appreciated.
Hi!
We are currently recruiting young adults aged 18-30 to take part in our no-cost sleep coaching study. The purpose of this study is to test whether specialized sleep coaching sessions that focus on the science of habit formation can help people who have difficulty getting to sleep at night, difficulty waking up or getting out of bed in the morning, and feel sleepy during the day. We are hoping that this research study will result in a sleep treatment that will help many people who have these types of sleep problems.
This study is really exciting because we’re offering free sleep coaching with therapists who have specialized training in sleep therapy at UC Berkeley. This is a unique opportunity to get access to no-cost sleep coaching for those struggling with their sleep. Eligible individuals will receive compensation for completing each part of the study (four 60-90 minute Zoom interviews, 7 days of wearing a sleep watch, and 7 days of completing online surveys). Additional information provided upon phone screening. The study is entirely remote.
If you are interested in learning more, please contact us by email at sleepteamucb@gmail.com, or via phone at (510) 473-6490. You can find more information about our lab and this study at the following link: https://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~ahsleep/gbsmrc_mock/sleep-habits-study/
