New York is a state in the Northeastern region of the United States. New York is the 27th-most extensive, the fourth-most populous, and the seventh-most densely populated of the 50 United States. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south and by Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border with Rhode Island east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Ontario to the west and north, and Quebec to the north. The state of New York is often referred to as New York State, so as to distinguish it from New York City.

Hi all, hope you had a good weekend. My husband and I are going to Bergen, NY for a few days for his job and I was wondering if you could give us some ideas on things to do/see/eat. Thanks!
I don't live in NY personally, but I visit once a year for Christmas and a relative of mine really enjoys strawberry rhubarb pie, and I've tried to find one in the area with only limited success. I tried one from a farmers market about twenty minutes away, but it wasn't anything to write home about unfortunately.
The only other time I looked was last year and that was trying to find it the day after Christmas, which was obviously much more difficult. I'm hoping to try and get ahead of it this year and see if I can order something in advance.
Thanks y'all!
I am 35 and looking to escape the republican supermajority hellscape that is Indiana. I am in a very precarious position, and money is tight, but I need to get out of this state, root and stem.
I've been in the tech industry for the last 4 years, but it's not for me. I'm looking to embrace the empathetic hippie lifestyle. I'd love to work in nature conservancy, help others escape shitty GOP havens, be of service in some way etc.
I am willing to till the earth for room and board, I just feel like I gotta get out of here soon. I've always loved New York, and am looking forward to hearing what you fine folks might think. It's time for a new adventure.
Thank you
Just saw a podcast that breaks down some of the importance of Long Island strategically through the years. I knew some of this information, but the rest was really, really interesting. If you wanna check it out here it is.

This is my fourth year in NY and the early winter sunset is still kicking my ass. In my home state the sun wouldn’t set until almost 6pm in the winter and here it sets at around 4:40. I feel exhausted constantly and like I can’t get anything done after 5 or 6. How do you guys cope with this?
I live in Saratoga County and I wonder if I should be prepared to evacuate. I definitely smell smoke in the air and I feel like it is visible too
Edit: spelling
