How do I add flair to my post?

Rochester help me out. I find myself needing a last minute gift. Where can I buy a Buffalo Bills (Mafia prefered) flag? Mostly blue or white. Ordered one bit it is delayed. Thank you!
I'm going to start off by saying I feel very vulnerable and insecure by writing this but I don't really know what to do. I'm 23yo M and I feel like everyone I know is getting married, having a kid or buying a house and I just feel alone. I moved out of my parents house just before covid and never really struggled with making friends until I was out on my own. My family moved around a few different times while I was in public school which made it hard to keep friendships, until eventually I switched to homeschooling for my high-school years. Since then I feel I have become very introverted and struggle with social anxiety. I've tried a few different events on meetup but I feel as if I never really click with people. And it was really hard for me to even show up because of my social anxiety. I do have a particular hobby that I have met some people but it is hard to do in the winter months bc it involves being outdoors. I feel living alone has its ups and its downs but this time of year it seems to be more downs. My family lives almost 2 hrs away so it is hard to be able to get together with them bc my job is in the Rochester area. At my job, I usually only interact with 1 or 2 people, which makes it difficult to create any relationships there also. So I'm either at work or at home by myself and it gets depressing when you dont have a best friend or a significant other that you can spend time with regularly. I guess I'm writing this to see if anyone has suggestions on how to make friends that doesn't necessarily involve large groups and feels natural and not forced. Thank you for reading
It’s a hard thing to search, and I’ll wait until Monday to call restaurants individually. But y’all might have some info that we can collect in one list here.
I came across this awesome YouTube video that really shows off the best of Rochester. It’s the kind of thing that makes you step back and think, "Yeah, this place has a lot to offer."
A city is like a garden. When it’s cared for and nurtured, it can be amazing. If it’s not thriving, it’s not the city’s fault. It just needs better care. Videos like this feel like a way to plant seeds of positivity and remind people why Rochester is worth celebrating.
I have a crappy picture that I’m not even gonna bother sharing… but I just saw one car sized, red and green drone flying about 100 feet in the air from the north going south. Its speed was sluggish — I probably watched it for about 2 minutes. I consider myself a skeptic in general, but this blew my mind! Anybody else see it?
Happy to pay, of course (but please let me know how much because I have no idea what the cost should be)! In the city. All of the places we've called are booked up til the new year and the current tires are bald asf.
Does anyone where the crows are roosting? I’d like to take some photos. Thanks!
Come check out this fire dispensary that opened in rochester near downtown love the atmosphere over there definitely would recommend
I figured I might as well share this link one more time across several platforms, despite the fact that we've already gotten plenty of RSVPs, because well why the hell not, it's a party and open to the public after all. So from 6-7 tonight the Rochester Chapter of the NY Working Families Party is holding a social hour/gathering/thing at a bar downtown (mobilize will give you the address if/when you RSVP) there will be a lot of great people there from our chapter and from across the Rochester left and progressive movement, as well as plenty of new people, and the event is open to anyone who thinks our party may be for them or just wants to find out a bit more! Click on the link to RSVP! https://www.mobilize.us/ny-wfp/event/744942/
Hey does anybody have any knowledge about the Brook Hill village apartments before I sign a lease? Thanks!
32 year old long islander here wanting a change. Tell me about your life here if you would. :)
hi friends. I’m looking for a nice place to take my best friend for cocktails and dinner tonight. Any and all suggestions welcome, we haven’t been out together in a very long time and I usually stick to dive bars 🥲 smooches
Anyone know any shops in the Rochester area that don't have a problem using a few parts I've already purchased?
I'm looking for sodium citrate and don't have time to order online before I need it. The Niblack and Stuart's websites didn't list it. Does anyone know of a place that definitely sells it locally? Barring that, perhaps someone has an ounce or two they'd be willing to part with?
$100! Moving and I can’t take it with me! Works great, comes with a stand and Roku thingie!
Has anybody traveled the Thruway this morning? I am planning a drive from ROC to the 290 & 990 in the next hour or so.
Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Inside, outside, let me know both
Come on people this is Rochester in winter it comes every year at the same time and we know what it does to the roads. If the roads are like they were this morning there is ZERO excuse for going 40 mph in the left lane on 590/490! If you’re unable to drive closer to the speed limit or don’t feel “comfortable” driving in this stay home, call an Uber, or move south! And for the love of god if you’re getting passed on the right get the fuck over.
Okay, so my husband is trying to wean off his soda/iced tea addiction and wants to try coffee. He only drinks soda/iced tea for the caffeine, doesn't want anything overly sweet, and doesn't like bitter.
... yeah. I figure he'd like more of a cold brew, and some type of latte/milk base, anything to reduce the acidity. His old RIT buddy is telling him to try E=G, but this friend hasn't lived in Rochester for over a decade. No hate, I love E=G, but I feel like a Boulder, Ugly Duck, or Fuego might have some more experienced baristas.
Any recommendations? We both have Dec 24th off and may take advantage of our toddler being at daycare to enjoy some coffee at whatever shop is open. Worst that'll happen is I drink both coffee drinks and spend the morning cleaning.
Edit: bonus if it's from one of these cafes since I know how to get there https://www.reddit.com/r/Rochester/s/9hAF26DCEj
For next year I really just want to do something unexpected and new. Would anyone be interested in holding a party at some restaurant and meet up most eligible single only and do some games and round of blind dates idk I’m sure there’s a ton of you that are single that aren’t doing anything on new years so let me know and let’s get something going! Idk might be fun 🤷🏻♀️
Bellagio Apartments on Empire Blvd in Webster
Do you live there or know someone who does and do you like it?
Looking for more information after seeing their google reviews.
I am incredibly picky when it comes to pasta sauce. But when it meets my needs it’s my favorite meal.
Anyways I’m curious what restaurants in, or near, Rochester offer pasta for takeout that people would recommend. I like meat sauce with minimal to no pieces of tomato within the sauce. Love when it’s spicy too. Thanks.
I am looking for a reliable and affordable mover. This is a local move from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom apartment. I will be moving in January. TIA.
I'm in Penfield looking for good Americanized Chinese takeout food recommendations. One I can look at their menu possibly? I'm literally just looked for somewhere that has good fried rice and egg rolls.
PLEASE NOTE IF ITS CASH ONLY
I'm looking to take drum lessons as a total beginner and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for places that offer lessons.
Also if anyone has a drum set they're looking to get rid of/sell!
Hello everyone,
I’m shopping for a stocking stuffer for my six year old niece who cannot have milk or peanuts. I’m hoping to find a dairy free/nut free cake pop or hot coco bomb. I’m looking at a few bakeries but I’ve had no luck. If you have any recommendations please let me know, thank you!
