Can anyone recommend a lawyer

Can anyone recommend a lawyer who has experience in dealing with a narcissist? Ex is doing major damage to my 5 year old’s mental health. I know I can’t stop her from going but he needs to be ordered to stop or to take parenting lessons or something.

What happened near Jackson Square

Does anyone know what happened near Jacson square? In the morning, I saw police operating a drone on the rooftop and other officers using binoculars to monitor the area from the CIBC building rooftop.

Dental emergency need

Sorry if it’s a dumb question but, I’m a 21 year old with no insurance (yes bad I know), and I make minimum wage part time, it’s there anyway to get emergency dental care that’s like really cheap or free? I think my wisdom teeth are kicking in? Idk, all I know my gums are incredibly swollen lol

Farms for meats, fruits/veggies, and dairy

What are you recommendations for local farms or stores that source from local farms for:

  1. Fruits and vegetables
  2. Meats
  3. Dairy

This is a mix of wanting to support local and wanting less steps between the original product and what I consume so I want it directly from a local farm rather than a farm that serves a large industry, if that makes sense, for quality and health reasons.

Please let me know your recommendations. Thank you!

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention that there are two local hot sauces on this season (24) of Hot Ones. Dawson’s and Neil’s.

Dawson’s has been featured a couple of times, but to have Neil’s in there this season as well is awesome. And both at the same time!

Commuting to Scarborough 2 days a week, or to Oakville 5 days a week?

I currently work in office 5 days a week in Oakville, and I have a new job offer in Scarborough that requires on-site presence 2 days a week. How bad will the commute be in Scarborough? All else being equal, which one would you choose?

What’s up with all the emergency vehicles?

Sitting on King street west and we’ve seen an ambulance, one of those fire department pickups, and at least a dozen cop cars over the past 10 minutes heading west. Anyone know what’s going on?

Forge & Foster adjacent: 64 Hatt - Millworks - Now Under Yoke Group?

Saw ads on Facebook for Yoke Group leasing 64 Hatt, the Millworks building in Dundas that was formerly under Forge & Foster ownership.

With F&F going all but bankrupt, it would appear Yoke has taken it over. Yoke & F&F (and their management) have always maintained a very close relationship, including running joint projects and businesses (such as the now mostly defunct "Ambitious Realty"). Yoke normally has the same M.O. with slightly more polish.

Would welcome anymore background or info, but caution is advised if you're looking at leasing your business here or with them.

East Hamilton Animal Hospital?

I’m new to Hamilton and looking to take my dog for an urgent (but not emergent) ear hematoma drainage. Our regular vet won’t be able to see him until Wednesday, and he really needs it drained asap.

Wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences at this hospital? Google reviews are mixed, and I just want to make sure my pup is getting safe care. Don’t know why but my gut instinct was maybe to not go here… just thought it was odd that they were able to see him so quickly when we called, but maybe they’re just well-staffed on weekends?

Any insight helps. Thanks all

Graphic Abortion Sign (King / John St.)

A middle aged white man (because of course) is currently at the corner of King and John with graphic abortion imagery you may wish to avoid.

I don't know why this practice is allowed in Hamilton; it is banned in London ON and other communities)

Coyote near Upper Wentworth and Fennel

Just a heads up for people who have outdoor cats. I saw a coyote coming out of an alley near Brucedale and Upper Wentworth today. That's 1 block north of Fennel.
It was keeping its distance from me and a family that was on the other side of the road. But it was heading towards Fennel.
I see them around the rail trail sometimes but haven't seen one in the neighbourhood before today.

Bulk garbage pick up limit of 4 items, what counts as an item?

I need to schedule a bulk garbage pickup to get rid of some old furniture. One item is a broken dresser that will be in many pieces. Is each individual piece counted toward the four maximum?

There are 8 drawers plus the frame and I’m wondering if I have to schedule multiple pick ups. Also, do I need to take apart each drawer and bundle them? City is closed today which is why I’m asking here.

Thanks!

Ceremony only locations with greenspace

We're planning a wedding for the summer of 2026 for 85 guests and are likely going to do the reception at a Banquet Hall in Ancaster (much more affordable than any other "nicer" venues we've looked at). However, we don't like the indoor space they offer for the ceremony so we're thinking of doing the ceremony/photos somewhere separate as the banquet hall is in an industrial area.

Any recommendations for ceremony only spaces in Hamilton/Burlington area or within 30ish minutes? Really would like the ceremony spot to have nicer outdoor spots for photos but also a back up plan for rain. Budget ~1000-1500

Thanks in advance for suggestions!

Outdoor Cushions Winter

Having some storage issues. Thinking of getting a waterproof deck box.

Does anyone know if I can keep sunbrella outdoor Cushions in a deck box over Hamilton winter or am I setting myself up for trouble when I pull them out in spring?

How’s your cogeco internet?

We’ve been experiencing very slow, patchy and unreliable internet the last few weeks. We’ve been with cogeco for more than 15 years and haven’t had issues like this. When it was completely out recently, a technician came and ran a new, more direct line to our house. Still hasn’t solved the issue. What’s your experience been?

Recommendations needed

Can anyone recommend a place to get a full set of lashes done, preferably walk in friendly?

I have an event coming up and wanted to do a trial run of lashes. I've never had them before.

Extra appreciated would be stories that include price, how long your lashes lasted, and what type you got.

Thank you in advance.

Beginner Car Maintenance/Mechanics Class

Hello! Does anyone know of any intro car care/maintenance/mechanics courses in the area? I see Mohawk has one but it doesn't appear to be running at the moment.

Toronto seems to have some continuing ed classes through some of the technical high schools - is that something that exists here?

Thanks!

Mohawk College - Industrial Electrical Engineering Technician - Power (403 - 433)

Hey all! I'm just looking for some clarification from people who have taken this course in the past.

Mohawk's website says that this course exempts you from having to take credits during your industrial (442A) or commercial (309A) apprenticeship.

From experience, does anybody know if this course exempts you from ALL credits, or just some?
After graduating this course, will I have to go back to school during the duration of my apprenticeship, whether it's 442A or 309A?

Thanks!

When is art crawl the busiest?

I was in the area today for art crawl but it seemed pretty desolate. Was it because of weather or was I too early? It was quite cold today. It was around 4:30 to 5:00 ish. I was here last month for it as well (not knowing it was a thing yet) and it seemed pretty lively. Musicians, stalls lining almost the whole street down.

Radon Mitigation Process/Suggestions

Hello,

For those that have had radon remediation done in Hamilton- which contractor did you use and were you happy with them? (There seems to be only a few in the area.)

Also, do they do a gas locate before drilling through the basement floor?

I've seen some people say they have work done in just a couple of days, which doesn't seem like enough time for a locate. At the very least, I would like to know if the system is sitting on top of a gas line.

Thanks very much.
