I have a couple of parking tickets (at the Stoney creek campus). I'm trying to find out if they'll put a boot on my car at 3 tickets? or 5? does anybody know? thanks
Anyone here has sociolgy test , so we can make some revisions before taking the test? Expect who was lucky enough and have take it !
I dropped a standard math course in first semester but need the credit to get into my program next year. I’m not eligible for academic upgrading which is the only thing admissions has suggested.
Hi everyone! Anyone else apply for September 2025? Im hoping to be accepted at the Wentworth Heights site. I've been a PSW for 16 years and have decided I want to become a Nurse! Good luck to all that have applied.
Every semester, I have to fight for something between Mohawk and OSAP around my tuition. I have all my disabilities registered, I have been approved for being considered a disabled student both in Mohawk's system and OSAP's system. I ALWAYS take between 40% of a course load and around 60%. According to Mohawk and OSAP policies, a disabled student can take as low as a 40% course load and still be considered a full-time student.
Every semester something goes wrong and it's exhausting because no one communicates with me that there is a problem with my OSAP until weeks into the semester, or when I get warnings about being fined late fees for my tuition. Even more, I have become proactive with this, so I am always checking my OSAP, I'm calling and sending emails trying to get ahead of problems, but when I try to do that, I am brushed off and told that I need to wait, or that I'm too early to complain (even though I make it clear "Hey, this happens a lot to me. I just want to be proactive and get this fixed before more problems come."
I've even had to take a third elective (my program only requires 2) 3 weeks into the semester because nobody, not even my Accessibility Coordinator, would talk to me or tell me ahead of time. It was some weird thing about how I was considered a 5th semester student even though my program only had 4 semesters, and so somehow that changed the course load expectations? I never caught up on school work that semester.
It's exhausting, and I'm now fighting again with Mohawk to tell OSAP that I am full time, as I legally am, but the financial aid guy has decided that I don't, because I only take 40% of a course load.
This is my last semester and I just want to get out of here already.
--------
Anyways, TLDR: Navigating Mohawk and OSAP as a disabled student is a nightmare and so stressful, things go wrong every semester, and I get rebuffed by Mohawk admin/financial aid every time. And this is not even including how hostile some profs can be with accommodations.
Does anyone else with a disability have to struggle like this too? I feel so frustrated and alone.
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone might have guidance as to who to reach out to in regards to a complaint about a member of the business faculty. I have some concerns about the capability - and more recently - the conduct of one of the instructors but I don't know where best to voice that outside of course reviews.
Appreciate any guidance!
Just curious…I think the midterm and final are proctored but the quizzes are not
Just wondering if anyone has taken this course and liked it, found plenty of jobs etc. Any information is appreciated because I can’t find anything about this program anywhere, how hard was it to get in? What was the course schedule like for online/in-person, could you actually live at home for the most part? Was it really hard?
Hi! Is anyone waiting for the May 2025 acceptance results? For those in the cardiac sonography program, would you mind sharing your experience?
Hi,
I aspire to join the Civil Engg Tech 534 program this Fall, 2025.
I'm a Permanent Resident but my educational credentials are outside of Canada.
I've completed my Bachelors in Electrical Engg, so I was wondering should I send a WES report of my Bachelors program or should it be the high school one?
Any leads or feedback on this would be appreciated.
Do you guys think physics should be mandatory as it is? I think it should be an elective, like how Durham and other pre-health programs handle it at some colleges. This way, students who want to take an extra science could choose physics if they’re interested or need it for their chosen path.!Since most students are going into RPN or programs that only require biology and chemistry (or physics as an option), it makes sense to keep biology and chemistry mandatory, as they are the most relevant. Physics could be optional for those who want it, but it shouldn’t be forced on everyone, especially because it’s such a difficult subject.
I’m a Mohawk PN (715) grad (2023) in my fifth term of five of Western’s bridge. A friend of mine who is an RPN also bridging at Western but in term 2 ( graduated with my Mohawk cohort ) has a basement apartment to rent in London.
If you’re interested, please lmk. I’ll need a bit of info about you to pass on to them and ideally an email or phone number.
This is available from February 4.
As an aside, you’re welcome to ask me questions about the bridge at Western. I’m in stream A ( had a year of university already) so your mileage may vary if you don’t do the stream A, but it’s all Western BSCN.
I was placed on the waitlist for May intake but now I'm wondering if there really is a waitlist. I just checked OCAS looking at all the PN programs (May intake) for different colleges. The ones that have a waitlist states so on OCAS' website and the ones still open state that. Mohawk states that their May intake is still open but yet are telling people they're waitlisted.. what gives?
Hello, I want to apply for medical lab. If you applied or done the program are you able to tell me pros and cons, how competitive it is to get into? And if you have already graduated how soon did you get employed post grad? Did you enjoy it?
Thank you in advance!
Planning on taking the program. Want to see how other people found it
I just applied to the Digital Health program in May! Is there anyone in this Reddit community who is currently in the program or graduated from it?

For those who got wait listed, What number were you and how long did it take for you to get an offer?
Grade 12 student looking to become a police officer in the future, thought about applying for police foundation program in Niagara or Mohawk but then seen the Community and Justice Services. Is Community and Justice Services a good program to take or do I stick with police foundations ?
Hello all,
Today, January 20th, 2025, I believe I lost a necklace in the E wing hall, just by the doorway to the C building. It is a fake Vivienne Westwood silver-coloured skull and crossbones necklace. I must have dropped it at around 3:57-4:00 p.m. Please get in touch with me or reply to this post if you've seen it.
If there is a lost and found service on the Fennel campus please let me know as well. Below is an image of what it looks like
Thank you

Is anyone interested in sharing parking permit? We can arrange the use of parking based on our class schedule.
DM me if interested.
-- Edited --
College does allowed this. Refer to here. You even can add up to 4 car plates when purchasing permit. We just have to make sure only 1 vehicle is using the parking at the sametime.
Hello, as per my last post I needed help with LTC selection. Now I also need help with Hospital selection. Any previous PN4s or current nursing students have suggestions on what I should pick for my consolidation? which units to avoid? which units to pick? I was told to pick an easier unit for consolidation so that I could practice my skills and pass PN4. But I'm not sure what to pick.
Hi PNs and PSWs. I'm in PN4 and need to pick 3 LTC options. These are the closest to my home. Anyone worked here before? What were they like? Which one should I pick? I've done a placement at Amica Dundas before and really enjoyed the environment there, is there something similar from this list?
