Im so bored outside of school. I feel like there's something I'm missing out on other than class, gym, then go home, anyone else feel the same?
Hi, I’m interested in applying to the cardiac sonography program. I graduated kinesiology in 2021 and I’m interested in pursuing a new career. I’m worried my GPA isn’t good enough to be competitive, I got a 5.85 out of a 9 scale which is a C+. I was much younger then and I know I’m capable of doing better but I’m just worried that there’s no chance. I was wondering if anyone in the program has some insight and maybe was similar to me and got in. Thanks!
Hello everyone,
I was just checking my application status and saw that my resume had been given a score of 100. What does it mean? If anyone could help out i’d appreciate it!!
Here is "Something else", a carefully curated playlist regularly updated with atmospheric, poetic, soothing and slightly myterious soundscapes. The ideal backdrop for concentration and relaxation. Perfect for my study sessions.

Hi guys! I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get my hands on at least 1 or 2 grad tickets for the Oct 17 convocation @ 9:30am in Hamilton. I wasn’t able to access the tickets when they were first released due to issues with my Mohawk account and when I try to access the ticket link now, it just doesn’t load. Anything helps!! Thank you!!!
I am thinking of staying at Linden Hall for my studies at Mohawk next semester but I can't find any reviews about it. All the reviews are really old from before mohawk owned it.
Anyone know what it's like living there? How is the food?
To those in the CYC program, could you tell me what the classes are like and the program in general? What did you find surprising once you started? Your favourite thing? :)
It's the end of September, my bill have all come out and I have nothing to pay it with. I had to buy everything with my savings that I had that was supposed to be for emergency because initially, I was supposed to receive my funding on Sept 4. It kept changing and changing because Mohawk has not released my enrollment.
Practical Nursing isn't cheap. The scrubs, the equipment and doctor's signature on our documents are so expensive. I was lucky enough that someone had kindly shared their ebook with me so I'm managing in classes. But with the bills looking in, I can't focus on anything and my cards have all gone to negatives 😭
Anyone else have not received OSAP?
I’m currently in first semester and looking to get on the fast track for my program, who is the best to contact for that?
I don’t know if this can be answered but I just got accepted for a program at Mohawk and I wanted to register for OSAP. To register I have to put a percentage of my course load but I don’t understand where to find that especially when we only get our times tables in November to start in January. OSAP even asks if I’m doing online but I haven’t got the choice to choose that yet either. I’m just worried because OSAP can take up to six weeks to register me and November to January seems like a very tight time frame. Am I just making a mistake that I didn’t even notice.
Couldn’t make the payment for the fall semester so i decided to go next semester instead because i feel like it’s almost late for me to catch up for weeks of work. My question is me skipping the fall semester and looking to be back in the winter semester would that cause any problem for me?
Hello, I graduated from the business administration marketing (co-op) program back in April and have been struggling to find a job since. I have even applied to regular minimum wage part/ full time jobs with no luck.
Any tips or advice?
Hey guys!
I just wanted to ask what the attendance requirements for the Cardiovascular Tech program are, is it mandatory to go to every lecture (also online?) I’m asking because I get super badly sick in the winter and was wondering if I would have to give them a doctors note or something like that incase it comes to it or if I would have to suck it up and still go!
Thanks :)!
Hi im in the Network Engineering and Security Analyst program in my 3rd semester. to my understanding the first co op term is in the 5th semester. I had a pretty rough time last semester and I had to drop a class and dropped a class this semester as well. One is an elective and one is a course in the program.
With that being said will I have any issues with doing a co op even if I have these 2 classes missing? Obviously I know to graduate I need them but what about Co op? Can I do co op with some classes missing? I really dont want to fall behind my co op term, so if needed next semester I will grind out as many missed classes as possible.
And then also, if anyone has experience with co op in general, how was the process of finding a job, etc. I know there is a Co Op prepareness course they make you take, how is that? Are there classes at Mohawk during your Co Op?
Thank you guys.
I am confused, which college has the better program and subjects for motive power technician mohawk or Fanshawe? kindly let me know soon I want enrol for the jan intake.
I need audio from a mic but its not connecting to the laptop, just need a reader so i can get that file to laptop and thats. lm at the libary lmk, thanks,!
Okay so in 2020 I enrolled at Mohawk straight from high school and at the time I just could not get into the online learning due to COVID. I really struggled in class and had trouble paying attention and dropped out a few months into it the program. It’s been a few years now and I’d like to make a return but I’m not sure if the school would accept me. Has anybody heard of similar circumstances where the administration allowed a student to return? The only reason I’m making this post is because of the cost to apply. I really appreciate any input in advance
Hoping to possibly get one started, if you're interested message me!
I see that the CVT program starting Winter (Jan) 2025 is still open. Does this mean not all of the seats have been completely filled yet? Or have admission offers just not yet been released, so it seems like the program isn't full?
I was thinking of applying to the program, just curious about this CVT term in particular. Thanks!
Sorry if this is a weird question, but can any students of the practical nursing program (obviously students from Ontario paying normal tuition, or even feel free to share as an international student) please give me an estimate of what they paid for their practical nursing program in total? Im really anxious and i want to make sure i have more than enough saved.
To those who applied late last year (late summer) for Jan 2024 (or previous years), when did you hear back for Jan intake?
I am a university transfer and realizing I don’t know what I want to do with a degree and finding it’s not right for me right now.
Thanks :)
I paid for the funds on my one card along with my first instalment of residency in august. I logged into my one card account to see my funds and it says my current balance is zero, but I have an available balance which is equal to what I paid for my meal plan. I don’t know how to access the available balance. I’ve reached out to the one card office through email and nothing yet. Curious if anyone has any idea of why it’s like that and how to fix it.
So far, in the first Bookkeeping course of this program. Thinking about withdrawing. Seems like another money grab for an automated passive income source for the college. Course layout is all over the place. Learning material provided is using videos that don't match the current textbook. Get your shit together Mohawk, and stop ripping off innocent students. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
Hi all, silly question ahead - What do my next two years look like in this program? Like semester one runs from january to april 2025 right, so would my second semester be September to december 2025?
Would it be that semester two begins in May or begin in september? Would we have summer off?
They're on the table outside the tim Hortons in C wing
Has anyone taken this course? What was your experience like?
Has anyone applied for MRI January 2025 intake? Did you guys receive an acceptance letter? Do you happen to know when are we going to know if we get accepted.
Thank you
Hey guys,
I'm a mature student looking into doing Cardiovascular Technology. I have most of the high school pre-requesites for the program and my grades were in the 80s and above, except two (I did bad in Gr. 12 U Math and didn't take Gr. 12 U Chem, but I do have Gr. 11 U Chemistry).
The program page online doesn't say what the minimum average is for admission into CVT? Any help is greatly appreciated so I can appropriately plan my future steps. Thanks so much!
If my high school marks didn't meet admission, I was just thinking of taking pre-health, but if there's a way I can skip paying like $4,300, that's fantastic.
