Marvel-Loblaws Cards?

Over the past few weeks when my family has shopped at some grocery stores like NoFrills and Loblaws, we’ve collected these Marvel cards (see link). After finding out it was a game, my younger siblings have been super committed collecting them to play the game and have even bought the album holder. Together they have 56/90.

I got some in Mississauga and Toronto when I’ve worked there recently but it seems like Oakville has the best variety. We still have quire a few to find but I’d still like to try to get the collection for them. If anyone knew where I could most likely find the cards we don’t have (see picture remaining), that would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

So many businesses shutting down

Anyone else also notice there is a ton of places going out of business in Oakville? Or being on the market forever and not having anyone take over the lease? I see so many places shut down only to never be replaced by anything else. I see it a lot near the Oakville GO Station

Parking concerns in Bronte

We live in a rental near Bronte and Lakeshore, closer to the new Amica that's being build. We have a private parking lot, but since the Amica construction started, all the contractors and workers are parking in our spots. They do have a commercial unit in our building and as per the property manager they only have 4 parking spots. Is there anything I can do so that they won't block my assigned spot.

Famijoy open to sell remaining stock

Famijoy seemed to be open yesterday. No electricity, so just dry products.

You can find a bunch of noodles, cans, and sweets for lower than usual prices. Be sure to look for expired items. They only take cash.

Make it make sense

I am almost 22. Fourth year at UofT. FOUR years of customer service experience (one guest services role and one keyholder role). These both ended last September. The WHOLE year I was applying to jobs. I spent about 1-2 hours 3/7 days applying, I wish I was kidding. I would check the “my jobs” section by the end of the week and sometimes the number was 99+ and I’m writing cover letters for some of these.

Not to mention all of these positions are entry level. Tim Hortons, grocery store, movie theatre, etc. I’ve had 8 interviews total since September. Eight… All of them seemed to go well but I would never be called.

I am at the point where I am nearly broke. I can’t afford food when I’m at school. I can’t buy new clothes for the winter. I’m barely getting by even with my parents help. Now I’m wishing I never quit my last role because this is not a way to live.

So… am I overqualified? Too many applicants? At this point I don’t know where to go. I even got my resume cleaned up by a professional six months ago and practiced my interviewing skills with my friend.

And leaving Oakville is not an option. I wanted to move to Toronto last year but now I’m broke so… I’m stuck here and have to figure out something so I can get to somewhere with more jobs after my program.

All help is appreciated. The stress has been so bad I had to start therapy a few months ago.

Anyone have any recommendations for a Family Doctor in Oakville?

I am on the search for a new family doctor after my GP has been dismissive about my care and chronic condition far too many times now. I'm at the point where I don't trust my doctor anymore and I think it's time for a change.

Does anyone know any good general practitioners who are currently taking patients? Particularly someone who will take my chronic pain seriously and actually put in effort to get me help instead of shrugging and saying it's not their problem. I would prefer a female doctor, but I am open to a man so long as he is able to give me the care I need.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

Bronte Creek Entry Point

Hey guys

Looking to get into Bronte for some fishing with my son.

Near the bridge I think was somewhere I use to go with my Grandparents but I forget how I got there. I remember Petro Canada Park being one way to access it. Is there any other way from the highway? Or is there different points now? I haven't been in some time so I can imagine that since I was a teen there may have been some development or changes to the trails.

Any assistance would be appreciated!
