Libertarianism is a philosophy that holds that one should not initiate aggression on person or property. Anarcho-capitalism is a political philosophy that advocates for the elimination of the state in favor of individual sovereignty, private property, and free market production of law and justice. Anarcho-capitalists believe that in the absence of a state or ruler, society would improve itself through empowering individual choice and the discipline of the free market, or what its proponents describe as a voluntary society.
Racism and Social Justice are considered off-topic here; libertarianism does not have a racial component. All posts related to racism and social justice must have some obvious link to libertarianism and may be removed at moderator discretion.

Perhaps it’s one of the “less newsworthy” departments, but I expected to see more buzz on the topic
I know we all are smart enough to differentiate b/w constitution and democracy. Constitution is what limits democracy from going berserk but does democracy in turn gives constitution meaning? Because even North Korea has a constitution which gaurantees fundamental rights to their citizens but we know its a joke. I do think until there is a state libertarians will always support constitutionalism and limits on government rather than democratic propaganda. But if we for now want to live in a society with low state intervention in our lives is it better for it to be a decentralised democracy rather than a monarchy for eg. exactly what characteristic in a democracy helps the constitution to have legitimacy? (Like most western nations where constitutions have actual respect are democracies)
Came across a post and reading it honestly felt like something posted in the summer of 2020. I'm astounded. The agreement and support of the comments were similarly mind boggling.
