These people are absolutely insane
Once upon a time, back at the height of the Cold War, I graduated from a nuclear, biological and chemical warfare school in the US Army. That was a shocking amount of knowledge to absorb. So this is a topic that has always fascinated me.
In this video at about this time the narrator gives a graphic description, with maps and other info to support, just how evil and life ending a nuclear war would be. Highly recommended for anyone curious.
Back in the 80s, with our less monopolized mass media, the media actually worked to inform the public of the dangers of a nuclear war. This not-accurate drama movie, "The Day After," appeared on network broadcast TV (now available on YouTube for free). In that time period (but before "The Day After" was broadcast!), on "June 12, 1982, the largest peace rally in U.S. history" occurred in NYC. Today, the mass media broadcasts the sound of crickets.
Okay, remember not too long ago, I mentioned writing an anti-war song. And I had made a separate post asking if there's such a thing as an anti-war song that goes too far (that post got downvoted I guess because my question was taken the wrong way, maybe?). So context for that question is because I had more than one person react...not too happily, about my song. One person said the song was disrespectful to soldiers and that I was targeting or attacking soldiers in my lyrics (when the lyrics is really meant to be towards the government and politicians). Then I've had other people (not all of them, though) who agreed with my anti-war message in the song but still said it's a bit much because of the content of the lyrics which addresses war crimes such as killing and raping civilians.
So earlier today, I posted a comment (about my song) under the video of a libertarian podcast and I went to check a few minutes ago to see if they've responded and they've deleted my comment. Could it be that they don't want other peoples stuff promoted on their channel or is it possible to write an anti-war song so offensive and graphic that even libertarians don't want it on their page/channel? FYI, I wasn't promoting it. I just wanted them to listen to it and give me their opinion. If I could message them privately on YouTube, I would have but that isn't an option on YouTube. And by the way, the comment didn't even have a link to the song. It just said something like "listen to my anti-war song and tell me what you think". Or maybe they could have thought I was spammer or a bot or something like that.
But does anyone have any ideas why a libertarian podcast would have deleted my comment, which was asking them to check out my anti-war song? Just curious.
