Subreddit of the Day (Oct. 25, 2013)

Hi fellow Godzilla enthusiasts i have finally dipped my toes in loving Godzilla with my first movie that was -1 (Minus 1)
I had seen some godzilla movies before when i was a kid but those were like only the fight scenes and not the actual movie properly
So please quench my godzilla thirst, tell me how can i get into monsterverse and is it as amazing as Godzilla Minus One or am i up for awesome chonky big monster but boring dull story?
So please recommend your fav godzilla movies that you think i should watch after this, thanks!!!
At some point in the future, Godzilla will die. I am referring to the character of Godzilla, not anyone in particular. Nothing lasts forever. One day, probably a century or two, he will be gone.
My neat little godzilla shelf i started in 2020
I remember this being one of the first leak designs for Godzilla 2014 and one of the earliest posters they produced for the movie. I tried looking it up online but it seems kinda rare. Not implying that it’s worth anything just curious and takes me back a little bit. I was very excited for the movie and got this immediately when I saw it at Walmart in like 2013.
Context: There was a lizard outside our house so my dad got a BB gun and shot it. He said this later.
If there’s physical versions that include English subtitles then I would prefer that
Ok so is it true that the director of Godzilla minus one confirmed that Noriko indeed have G-cells inside her now? because I saw his tweet and his interview but nothing seems clear he just said that he didn't wanted a happy ending but did not wanted a bad ending either.
What do you think about a mockumentary of the original 1954 film? I think it would be an interesting concept.
Maybe if they made an official Godzilla fighting game we wouldn’t have to make our own. I used to play kaiju universe a lot last year so I just found out about the take downs of godzilla related media. I find it stupid how toho thinks some game that uses their ip can “harm the integrity of their image.”
I've just watched the move and it's been bugging me. The scene where the kid gives him the letter before he leaves for the final mission. she just starts bawling out of nowhere. I'd been fine if there was cut between him asking her why does she look sad and her crying but it seems she just started crying for no reason? What technics do movies employ that doesn't involve pinching the kid off camera or something because the kid does not look old enough to understand crying for acting. Unless i'm mistaken and this kid is a 3 year old acting prodigy or something.
KU just how it used to be
Mine is Godzilla vs Destroyah.
Just saw the new movie and godzilla sleeping in the colosseum reminds me of cats napping on lego colosseum
I haven’t found it yet so I’m wondering if it’s available on mobile
Movies like 2014, Kong Skull island and KOTM were better according to Godzilla fans. But GxK and GvK were enjoyed by a lot more people since they did way better in the box office. Which do you prefer?
Hey! First post here, i just have a small question.
I'm trying to write something about the Godzilla movies and i've run into some trouble trying to track down a source for Ishiro Honda's famed "monsters are tragic beings" quote. Maybe i'm not looking hard enough, but all i can find are sites that claim he said it "about Rodan". what i'm wondering is where or when or to whom he said or wrote this. i would assume its translated from Japanese because so far i've seen two versions of it with different wording, but i'm not sure.
i've only been a fan of these films for a little over a month, so i figured i should ask around with people who better know the history. Does anybody know what the source for this quote is? much thanks.
