First the monsterverse community, and now we're complaining about people who like heads sticking out of toilets???If we don't like that stuff(obviously I don't) we ignore it and pay no attention to a post or comment referring to it(tho I understand you guys reacting to 'solos your verse').
We shouldn't say 'yeah you are so pressed about me having hostile behavior, get away with it I'm going to keep hating this content and force people who like it out of here'
Since when did we become like this?
I DARE YA.
If anyone is feeling bored, here's a cool video about the design process and VFX of Pacific Rim by YouTube channel, CGY. Great video and great channel! Give it a watch and enjoy. đź‘Ť
Ik that they’re impossible to build with our current technology but just as a thought experiment i think it would be cool to figure out what would actually be needed to make them
Everyone on both sides of the skibidi toilet and Pacific rim war that are having meltdowns and calling for witch hunts need to just shut up and get off Reddit for a while. It paints both sides in a terrible light and makes us look like an immature sub full of children.
Grow up and get off Reddit for a while.
Some random kid from the st fandom made a brain dead post here sure, but that doesn't give you the right to straight up call the whole fandom brain rotted, I love both these fandoms with my life. And who cares if a character from one fandom beats the other. They are both about giant mechs fighting giant monsters, and both are cool as fuck. How about we stop fighting and respect each.
I love pacific rim so much, I live for big jaegers and kaiju fighting so much I need it in a game, please give me games that are like pacific rim, I want to play games like it
I'm asking this cause I'm curious of what would have happened
I literally just took a break from writing a take-home exam and came onto reddit and all I see is like, a billion pacific rim fans complaining about skibiditoliet and raging in the sub. What the hell happened?
How about this, we make a diplomatic deal.
1.) r/PacificRim stops crying, and giving them the ammunition to keep coming back
2.) r/SkibidiToilet needs to leave, and stop antagonizing us.
We’re in a never ending cycle, where both communities are gonna bounce off each other, no argument needs to be made for who was right and who wasn’t, because who actually cares? the best outcome is we stop interacting, so, let’s just do that?
r/SkibidiToilet members had no reason to hop in here and attack the movies, they know how everyone feels about their community, and sure as hell know that it would start a fight, But r/PacificRim needs to also mature up, and just walk away. Delete the posts that made you mad, and be quiet. If these are 7 year olds as we are proclaiming they are, are we any more mature for arguing with them?
I propose, that we drop it from here on out, no one is gonna win, and I think that the best solution is to stop arguing on the first place, let’s ALL be the better person(s), and just shut up? Am I the idiot for thinking that?
PLEASE MAKE A NEW RULE WHICH PROHIBITS ST CONTENT OR FRIGGEN POWERSCALING WITH OTHER FANDKMS( a little is ok I guess)
Like fr I go to this sub to search for pacific rim discussions, not ridiculous pacific rim vs st fan bases at each othe throats and crap
I LOVE PACIFIC RIM, but hate ST, it’s because I think one is cool AF and the other is dumb.
St may have changed later on in the series, but it still looks cringe, and people heads coming out of toilets look dumb.
I feel it was more acceptable just being brain rot! But when you try to make a peace of doo doo appetizing by sprinkling it with salt and pepper and maybe a little A1 steak sauce or soyu, that’s when you become an idiot!
So stop raiding, stop bitching about this subreddit to other subreddits and wondering why we think you’re immature.
As a ST fan, our community does not endorse posts that have flooded this subreddit couple hours ago. We have our own subreddit, r/skibiditoilet, where the series fans can interact with(Also not all ST fans are children, teen and adult fans exist) . Please ignore those interlopers as the entire subreddit and its owner has disavowed and criticized the posts they create.
I apologize on behalf of the entire community. I hope our communities will have no further conflicts.
Just because some of our people raid this subredit whit ST posts that doesn't mean that all of us are 3 year old children
PLEASE, and i can’t say this more then enough, DO NOT POST ABOUT FUCKING BRAINROTTED TOILET WITH A FUCKING HEAD, a series made for 3 years old with a brain that is rotted to its core, being posted on a legendary subreddit that is specifically ment for the legendary Pacific Rim, and not what ever that horse crap shit called skibidi toilet. I don’t care if the 3 year old disagrees with this post.
PACIFIC RIM YEAR ZERO - Expanded Plot Summary
Overview: Set between 2013-2016, Pacific Rim: Year Zero chronicles the earliest stages of humanity’s battle against the Kaiju, delving into the chaos of the first attacks, the grief and resolve that drove humanity to respond, and the development of the Jaeger Program. The film masterfully explores themes of loss, innovation, and resilience, providing a dramatic prelude to the events of Pacific Rim (2013).
ACT 1: K-DAY & FIRST KAIJU ATTACKS
Trespasser’s Attack on San Francisco (August 2013)
• Opening Catastrophe: The film begins with the catastrophic first Kaiju attack on San Francisco by Trespasser. Over six days, Trespasser wreaks havoc across California, leveling San Francisco, Sacramento, and Oakland. The attack marks the start of the Kaiju War.
• Personal Tragedies:
o Tendo Choi: Introduced as a young man with a passion for technology, Tendo’s character is shaped by the death of his grandfather during the chaos.
o Stacker Pentecost: Stacker loses his sister, Luna, in a desperate act of heroism when she crashes her fighter jet into Trespasser’s mouth, dealing minor damage but solidifying her legacy. This moment becomes a driving force for Stacker’s later actions.
• Devastation: Hundreds of thousands perish in Trespasser’s onslaught, and humanity is left reeling. 3 Tactical Nukes are used to finally kill the beast which results of much of the bay area contaminated for centuries. The attack is at first thought to be an isolated incident but 6 months later another Kaiju arises from the breach.
Subsequent Kaiju Attacks
o The second Kaiju, Hundun, emerges from the Breach and attacks the Philippines during a tropical storm. After devastating Taal Lake and Manila, Hundun is killed by a nuclear strike, resulting in massive collateral damage, the death half a million people and the establishment of the Kaiju Alert System.
o Another Kaiju, Kaiceph, strikes Cabo San Lucas. He gets intercepted by the US Navy but they are effortlessly destroyed & makes landfall causing the death of tens of thousands of lives. This attack underscores the increasing frequency of Kaiju appearances, spurring global urgency to find a more sustainable defense.
o The attack on Sydney becomes a critical turning point. Scissure inflicts massive damage, and the resulting nuclear response devastates parts of the city. This attack leads to the first discussions about alternate countermeasures as nuclear responses are unbearable due to massive devastation & protests
ACT 2: THE BIRTH OF THE JAEGER PROGRAM
United Nations Meeting
• Proposal for Jaegers: Visionary scientist Jasper Schoenfeld proposes building colossal robotic defenders called Jaegers. His ambitious plan garners initial skepticism but ultimately gains traction as global protests escalates including the Serizawa Scale.
• Team Formation:
o Schoenfeld assembles a team including Stacker Pentecost, Caitlin Lightcap and Adam Casey. Lightcap designs the Drift system, but Casey’s death during initial trials prompts the adoption of the two-pilot neural handshake system.
o Technological Breakthroughs: Despite setbacks, the team’s innovations allow the first prototype Jaeger, Brawler Yukon, to be constructed and kept within US Military base in Alaska.
First Jaeger Deployment
o Piloted by Caitlin Lightcap and Sergi Donofrio, Brawler Yukon faces the Category I Kaiju Karloff in Vancouver. After a fierce battle, the Jaeger triumphs, delivering humanity’s first victory against the Kaiju.
o Following Brawler Yukon’s success, 21 Pacific Rim countries establish the Pan Pacific Defense Corps (PPDC) to oversee Jaeger development. The PPDC mobilizes resources for Jaegers like Romeo Blue, Cherno Alpha, Coyote Tango, and Tacit Ronin alongside the construction of Shatterdomes.
o In Los Angeles, Romeo Blue, piloted by the Gage brothers, kills the Category II Kaiju Hardship after a grueling fight. The victory is celebrated within the USA with an parade with Romeo Blue which is broadcasted worldwide, marking the start of a hopeful new era.
ACT 3: BATTLE OF TOKYO
Itak’s Attack (April 2016):
Nearly a year later, the Category II Kaiju Itak attacks Tokyo. Jaegers Tacit Ronin and Coyote Tango are deployed from Tokyo Shatterdome to defend the city. Tacit Ronin is nearly forced into waters of Tokyo Bay, but Coyote Tango intervenes. After intense & struggling combat, Coyote Tango delivers a decisive strike, killing the beast.
Onibaba Incident (May 2016)
• Attack Details: The Category II Kaiju Onibaba attacks Tokyo, forcing Coyote Tango, piloted by Stacker Pentecost and Tamsin Sevier, into action. Despite heavy damage, they destroy Onibaba but suffer severe radiation poisoning, forcing their retirement.
• Mako Mori’s Origin: Stacker finds a young Mako Mori orphaned during the attack and adopts her, marking the beginning of their bond. Stacker is promoted to PPDC Marshal at the Hong Kong Shatterdome, solidifying his leadership role.
Ragnarok’s Rampage (June 2016)
The Final Battle: The largest Category II on record, Kaiju Ragnarök attacks Tokyo Bay. With Tacit Ronin under repair and Coyote Tango sidelined, Victory Alpha is deployed, after an struggle the pilots eject leaving Victory Alpha destroyed. Pilots Duc and Kaori Jessup volunteer to pilot Tacit Ronin. At first there proposal is rejected, but after being convinced there is no other way Marshal Hikai accepts. As the two titans clash, Ragnarök grows an third pair of arms. Despite this and a failed neural handshake, they improvise and defeat Ragnarök in a dramatic finale, splitting it in half. Although this results in the pilots demise underscores the courage and sacrifice required to defeat the Kaiju.
Conclusion
Tributes and Sacrifices: The film ends with a somber funeral for Duc & Kaori Jessup, honoring their bravery. These early sacrifices lay the foundation for humanity’s survival and set the stage for future advancements.
Saw this on my home page.
In Pacific Rim The Black, multiple breaches appear throughout Australia and the PPDC sent a whole bunch of Mark 6 Jaegers piloted by experienced Jaeger pilots to deal with the threat. Most of them end up abandoned or destroyed. But Atlas Destroyer a Mark 3 training Jaeger with no weapons (granted they did gain a weapon near the end of s1) piloted by 2 kids, one of them failed pilot training but they not only managed to survive, they defeated multiple Kaiju and one of them managed to Pilot solo. Something that nearly killed better pilots. His brain should have been fried
