Rules
1. GODZILLA CONTENT ONLY
This subreddit is for Godzilla and related kaiju content only. Content that does not directly reference this will be taken down.
All news and fan art posts must be directly about Godzilla and related kaiju content.
2. NO ABUSING, THREATENING, OR HARASSING OTHER USERS
Respect other users. No picking fights, no personal attacks, no insults, and no inflammatory comments/posts. Hate speech and bigotry will not be tolerated.
3. NO SHITPOSTING
This means things such as: brigading, whining about the state of the fandom, low-effort reactions, circlejerking, clickbait/karmawhoring. Single-worded or misinforming titles will be removed.
This does not include ironic memes/humor posts or opinions you disagree with. Memes that are Godzilla-related and follow other rules are not shitposts. If it is adult humor, please mark it as NSFW.
4. NO PIRATING
Do not post links or instructions for pirating. This includes things like unofficial streaming sites and pirated book downloads.
No posting images or videos that are from unofficial/bootleg sources. A video mash up using clips from trailers is fine, but using clips or screenshots from a cam copy is a no-no.
5. NO SPAM/REPOSTS
Do not spam the subreddit with the same content and comments. Use the search bar before posting. Posts of overused/low-effort formats (such as tier lists) may be removed.
Do not make several repetitive individual posts at once if they can be consolidated into one collection post.
To help deal with spam bots and other problematic users, posts by users that do not meet a minimum age or karma will be filtered at first and require manual mod approval.
6. NO NSFW CONTENT
No mature, adult or Rule 34 content. This does not include some levels of adult humor or violence.
7. NO SPOILERS
Discussions and posts related to new films are regarded as spoilers until home release.
Mark all comments and threads that contain spoilers.
Do not post spoilers in titles.
Rumors/leaks for upcoming content should be regarded as spoilers if not confirmed officially. All Merchandise such as the artwork, toys, and collectibles are spoilers.
8. NO POLITICS
No irrelevant political discussions are allowed. This includes explicitly pushing topics like government, elections, economy, social/cultural issues, and other current events. Exceptions will be made for topics that are clearly related/integrated with Godzilla media. As under rule 2, hate speech, bigotry, and inflammatory discussions will not be tolerated.
9. NO ADVERTISING WITHOUT PERMISSION
All advertisements like sales, kickstarter, projects, crowdfunding and social media groups must seek permission from moderators before posting.
10. ALL POSTS MUST BE MARKED AND CREDITED
G-fans are required to tag/mark their own posts. This includes spoilers (Rule 7), OC, and post flairs like "Humor", "Video/Media", etc.
All fan art posts must credit artists and link directly to an original source of the artist's submission of said artwork. If this is not adhered, posts will be removed. Original artwork should be tagged as OC. Full crediting guidelines can be found here.

How to store figures if you have limited shelf space ?

World War K
I recently made this pretty cool fan poster on Canva. It's a poster for a book I'm writing which details an alternate reality where Goji and Company are real, and were unleashed on the world right after WWII. Ultimately leading to the titular World War K. And an ultimate showdown between Mothra and King Ghidorah for control of the Earth.
So, whaddaya think.

Tell us your favourite Headcannon
There's mine:
In Godzilla VS Gigan, the M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens talk about their home planet. In the movie they mention that their home planet was destroyed due to pollution caused by another race native to that same planet.
In Godzilla VS Hedorah we are explained that Hedorah is a form of alien life that arrived on Earth on a comet and began to absorb the pollution present on Earth until it ended up growing to gigantic sizes.
Well, what if the high levels of pollution on the M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens' planet ended up causing Hedorah to feed on said pollution and causing destruction to their planet?
Hedorah could have arrived the same way he was brought to Earth (by a comet). If this were the case, Hedorah would have absorbed the planet's pollution becoming extremely powerful that not even the cybernetic monster Gigan could defeat Hedorah.
In the end Hedorah would end up forcing the M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens to abandon their home planet and look for another planet to live on (the Earth).

What is your opinion about Shin godzilla
The first few times I saw the design I didn't like it because it didn't remind me of the giant lizard that I liked so much, but as I got used to it it became one of my favorite designs. I see this version as a reimagining that focuses on making Godzilla a deformed freak

Through vulnerability and empathy, Kong joins the Indigo Lanterns of Compassion. Which Kaiju is terrible enough to join the Black Lanterns of Death?
By far the widest spread of responses to compassion, do to the somewhat inscrutable lore lots of discussion. But from my own cursory research, as long as you are either brimming with compassion or am utterly sociopath, you'd be a good fit for its power. Kong was the far and away leader with 35 votes, Mothra in second with 17, followed by dark horse candidate Space Godzilla at 13.
Death, need I say more? In Green Lantern lore, black lanterns can be made of anyone who has died, even if they were resurrected, or anyone with a fanatical obsession with death.
The popular consensus in people forecasting their votes is Destoroyah. Birthed from the Oxygen Destroyer that killed original Gojira, with the power to basically kill anything it touches, seems like a good candidate. Though arguably Hedorah had that power first, being so toxic to humans that just flying by them was lethal. Monster X, based purely on aesthetic. Desghidorah literally has "death" in its name. GMK Godzilla specifically would work since it is a resurrected Godzilla, Kiryu could also work. The decision in yours!
