Seems like Dan Stevens is gonna return to the Monsterverse afterall I really enjoyed his character in GxK.
I spoke with him and he told me he is working on "revised/expanded editions of "King Kong of Skull Island" and that this year is: "it’s shaping up to be a very busy Kong year on multiple fronts"
There is also another edition of "Merian C. Cooper's King Kong" on the way with more illustrations:
I found this image while searching around the web and this just makes me wish that there were other creatures and dinosaurs on skull island in the 1976 remake of King Kong, it feels so empty without them, if there were dinosaurs in the movie then it would be way better!
Does anyone know about this King Kong rip off??
The only thing I've found online is a blog about the blond in Bongas paw, she's a trace of a Frazetta girl. Other than that, there's no real info out there.
Either way this is a fantastic piece of art and a funny knockoff King Kong!
Not exactly sure when we crossed the 10k mark but in the last post about 5000 members, I said that I wouldn't update again until 10k and so here it is.
Old Posts:
and a highlighted comment from the last post that said it would take more than a few years to reach 10k:

It might be more than just a few years before we get to 10000 tbh xD
For the record, it took less than a year and a half.
Thanks to everyone who helps make this a great community of Kong fans!
An original Kong Skull Island edit. I figured some here may enjoy it.
This was my first time painting a model I am proud of how it came out though. What are yalls thoughts?
To those unaware, deplectors are massive terrestrial crustaceans that inhabited the dank chasms of Peter Jackson's Skull Island; one appears in the 2005 film and snatches one of the crewmen who attempted to scale the chasm walls. In the 2005 canon, they're among the largest creatures on the island and likely the largest arthropod on this iteration of the island (sans maybe the Stickalithus that camouflages amongst the swamp canopy), and the claw seen in the film rivals the size of Kong's closed fist.
Although it's doubtful Kong would fight one in the first place, it's unlikely he went on evening strolls through one of the most nightmarish and disgusting parts of the island, a fight between them would be interesting. I could see the Deplector drawing blood or severing a finger or two with its powerful claws. However, Kong would likely reciprocate by climbing atop the crustacean's back and tearing off its antennae likely crippling it. I could see Kong struggling to injure it through its carapace, but he could attempt to rip off one claw and use it as a piercing weapon.
