Welcome to the MOTHRA subreddit!
Why Mothra? Many people may not realize that before she was walking in Godzilla's enormous shadow, Mothra actually starred in her own standalone film. In 1961, thanks to Godzilla, giant monster movies were on the rise, such as Rodan, Varan and the Gargantuas among others, but Mothra was one of the biggest break out stars in that era. She was so popular in fact, she has gone on to appear in 12 films (4 of which she was the title character).
If Godzilla represents mankind's biggest folly, Mothra would represent our biggest hope. Mothra is also known as a Guardian of Earth, along with her 2 twin fairy priestesses, the Shobijin, they help restore balance to the world whenever chaos threatens to destroy it.
What Mothra may lack in physical strength, she makes up in determination and spirit.

My original mothra drawing (has the kanji for Mosura in the wing design) and a promo shot (modified) of G for Minus1. Obviously my artist will blend the two styles better. Any pointers? This will be my first forearm tat (wrist to elbow)

Joined because my 4 year old daughter who is into Disney princesses developed a huge love for mothra after watching the monsterverse movies. We just bought a mothra toy from target and are binge watching the original films (mothra vs Godzilla and mothra rebirth). She’s acting out all the scenes with mothra in them and singing to the twins songs.

New wrap on my car
I have been thinking I want to do a new wrap on my car of mothra prolly old school versions where the car doors are the wings. Would that be stupid? Or maybe I should do something else? My car is a mission ariya so I thought the eco friendly and Japanese theme would fit nicely. Thoughts?
