I have a 3000 dollar budget (I can put in an extra couple hundred dollars if needed but preferably not) I want an RTX 4080 (or 4090 if it can fit in the budget) and 64gb of RAM (not 32 I need 64), hopefully at least 2TB of ssd, I don't know much about CPUs but I just want a good one. Thank you!

I have 2 sticks of ram in my laptop and forgot to unplug the battery when removing one of them, will the laptop be ok.
This just happened today. I got home at 1ish today and sat down to enjoy my weekend. I opened my laptop(Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15ARH7) and this happened. Any support is of great help!
Hello, please understand that the grammar is awkward because of the translator.
Not long ago, the Victus15-fc3001AX laptop was launched in my country.
This laptop is new in 2025 and features ryzen9 (8945hs) cpu and rtx4060 gpu.
But I couldn't find the Total Graphics Power (TGP) information. I didn't even know if PD charging was possible or not.
I'd appreciate it if you could help me
I could cry 😭
If anyone here knows how to fix this, I would be very grateful. I'm getting it looked at tomorrow, but if my college campus IT can't fix it or diagnose the issue, I'm probably at a loss. Last night, I upgraded the RAM and ssd and replaced the thermal paste. Then I installed Windows 11 through a USB and installed as prompted. Everything worked normally until I manually updated the components for Windows (which I probably shouldn't have since i heard that can mess with certain graphics cards). Seemed to work normally afterwards so I powered down. Now it won't power up even after pressing down the power button for 60 seconds or using the reset BIOS command. The charger indicator light is also off and the back of the web cam gets very hot weirdly enough. The screen remains black and all indicator lights do not respond. Switching out the ssd and/or the RAM did not work either.
How can I know if the ram is soldered in to a laptop? I've build lots of gaming desktops but have very limited knowledge of laptops. I just want to know I can upgrade if I have the need.
Needed some lighting for my new gaming corner at my new place. Bought these at target and were pleasantly surprised with how good they look
I have used Mac in the past but it's time for a switch... give me your best reccomendations for something used for gaming and work( telehealth provider) I dont mind spending more money for something great quality.
It’s on sale from a private vendor for $500 should I buy it? I checked Amazon and it’s selling new for around 1000 brand new
Also the storage has been upgraded with an extra tb of nvme
This is the cheapest rtx 4070 I could find in this price range. The other laptops are basically 4060s and 4050s in this range. And thank you
Here’s the thing I have a Mac, which very difficult to play any sort of good game cause they’re just not built for that. I want to find a windows PC that can process a decent amount of games. I don’t want any AAA games I really mainly focus on roguelite RPG‘s and simple pixel art type games (octopath traveler, heroes of hammer watch, Hearthstone, sea of stars Chrono trigger). What can I expect to spend and does anybody have any solid advice when purchasing? I don’t want to spend a fortune, but I know I’ll use it regularly.
I'm stuck here, can someone help
Title, my 1650 laptop is struggling to play almost any modern game and I was wondering if it is worth it to wait for the 5060-5070-5070 to or just go with a 4070-4060 card now? I am in Europe, specifically in Greece and Tech availability is always from a couple of days to a couple of Months late...
I've never bought a gaming laptop before, but I'm sick of the one I have now, as it can barely run Minecraft. Any and all suggestions are welcome, though I know next to nothing about computers and I'd like to keep it to under $1,500(USD) out of the box. I would like to get into some more demanding games than my current old HP Pavilion can handle, although I am not too worried about maxing out every setting. Thanks in advance.
It's specifically the OMEN Transcend Gaming Laptop 16t-u100, 16.1" (the version with Intel Core), and it's $500 off right now on HP's website. Naturally I'm suspicious, especially since I noticed that the 2023 model had black screen issues. I'm really tempted to get this, but it's not telling me which year version they're selling, and I just want to make sure no one knowledgeable thinks I'm making a huge mistake!
yeah idk whats the issue a few days into ownership and in armoury crate it has 77 avg temp on silent and on turbo mode reaches 90 tf on light usage a few apps like discord and chrome the screen also flickers sometimes
I don’t know what any of it means, but my laptop has been slow lately despite having good specs (3090, Ryzen 9 cpu 32 gb ram ect) and I paid a LOT for it because it was all new tech at the time ($2,300) but it’s been lagging a lot and I think these settings might help? Just wanting some help on what I can change. Thank you!
On Christmas I had gotten a Nimo N151. It runs games alright (specifically Geometry Dash), but using OBS makes 60fps drop to 40fps. Are there any inexpensive external GPUs I should look into? Any other pepherals?
Hey! I am Skye, and I want to get into gaming with my boyfriend. Currently I am using a Mac (which I have been told is a crime against nature lol) and I am just wondering if anybody can help me with some basics that I should be looking for in a laptop? I am currently mostly playing Minecraft but I want to get into a few other games. I am based in NZ so amazon isn't aa huge thing here.
Thanks so much!
