In $260 redraft auction formats, what are your thoughts on Ohtanis fair market value?
I’m looking for a free league to join for this upcoming season. Does anyone need a warm body to be competitive all year long?
Looking for a free league to join for fantasy baseball this season.
I have been playing fantasy baseball for 4 years now and looking for a new league to join. Anyone out there looking for a consistent performer on Yahoo or ESPN apps?
I am the commissioner of my fantasy baseball league entering my 2nd year managing it. We have an issue with keepers in our league for a certain team. So, the rules are a maximum of 4 keepers are allowed with the keeper costing you the draft pick for the rd he was previously drafted in. The first place winner had shohei ohtani (batter) and mookie betts (traded for him mid season). They were both first rd picks. How would I go about the draft picks in this situation since I cannot take away two 1st rd picks for one manager? Over the 5+ years we have been in this league this is the first instance of a team wanting to keep two 1st rd picks.
For the instances where a manager wants to keep a player and he has traded away the rd pick he was drafted in, we would take away their next highest pick (ex. keeping 10th rder but traded away 10th rd pick during season, the keeper would apply to the 9th rd).
I’m going into my third year in a league that’s getting more and more serious. Head to head categories. The last couple of years I’ve just glanced at online rankings and whatnot but mostly relied on yahoo suggested picks.
I’m try to get a little more intentional with preparing for the draft. I know excel and other online methods are more efficient, but I prefer putting pen to paper when it comes to planning things out. Do any of you happen to prepare this way and would you be willing to give me a little insight into what that looks like?

After I counted down the top catchers earlier this week, I now shift my attention to first base. In the article below, I list the top ten players at the position in fantasy in my opinion. As with all of my articles, I welcome comments. Everyone have a great weekend!

Is anyone else's Fantrax app stuck in desktop mode? It's been very difficult to navigate with the small text and icons, and I can't find a way to return it to the mobile version. Any help?
Thanks!
Can anyone share how long their league's live online auction drafts take? And also if you have any time-saving strategies, that would be really helpful too.
I'm starting a league on Fantrax with 10 teams and 30 players per team (300 total players). We would love to do an auction draft instead of snake, but I am concerned that it is going to take too long (4 hours or more). If we could find a way to finish in about 3.5 hours max, I think that would be fine for everyone.
Thanks in advance!
It's pretty decimated, needs a lot of work - especially hitting. I'm less worried about pitching as I'm generally pretty good at finding that throughout the year. It's a full in person auction draft as well if that makes any difference.
Years ago I drafted a fantasy team with as much Asian players as I could. It was 4th worst team by end of the season. So I put together a list of ACTIVE Asian players in the MLB. The pool looks very impressive compared to more than a decade ago! Also included a few with 1/4 or 1/8 Asian in them :)
Edit: Removed Volpe's evil twin
Edit: Added a few more whom I missed for no good reasons
Our lineups are weekly and go from Monday-Sunday. If you make a change after 11pm on Sunday, will that be reflected for the next scoring period? We used yahoo a few years ago and if you made a change after 11pm on Sunday, it wouldn't take effect until the following scoring period.
So I saw this thread last year and wanted to see if I could get some tips on what different approaches people take when drafting for a roto league vs a H2h points league. It’s my first year playing roto so im open to any tips and tricks you all can offer!
Roster Resource has three listed.
Every fantasy analyst talks about “having shares” of a player like they’re American psycho. Is there a site that actually lets you track your “player portfolio” across fantasy platforms?
What is your preference for pitching categories in a 6x6 roto format. Starting a dynasty on fantrax and have the following categories. Hitting: R, RBI, HR, OBP, SLG, SB Pitching: W+QS, K, WHIP, SVH, ERA, IP
Are these good categories or what do you guys usually prefer?
I'm a big fan of guys who fall in drafts not because they were bad but because they had an unfair injury. For me there is no better example of this than Jordan Westburg in 2025. He was hitting a very healthy .269 with a .497 slug and .815 0PS with good counting stats. Before he got a broken finger on a HPB and basically missed the rest of the season (he did come back with a week left before playoffs). I know "on pace" can be misleading because baseball seasons aren't a straight line graph but a reasonable projection could have easily seen him finish with a 75/25/80/10 with the fore mentioned averages in just his first full season.
All of that is backed up by a pretty impressive statcast page full of red in all the right places. 92 percentile xSLG and xBA and 88th percentile xwOBA with an 80th percentile avg exit velo and barrell rate.
There are a couple of warts that could dampen the parade.
He barely walks. Despite his .269 average pre injury he only had a .317 OBP. However his 23% k rate, especially for a young player isn't devastating and there is reason to think he can improve considering this was a couple percent improvement from his rookie year at nearly 25%.
He only had 6 stolen bases in 417 at bats. Obviously you'd like more but it doesn't appear to be a issue of ability. He has a 91% sprint speed which would suggest he's certainly capable of being 15SB guy.
That said he also checks all the intangible boxes.
Everyday Starter with no danger of platoon. I think playing time might be the most underrated stat these days.
In a good lineup and should be towards the top of it. I've seen him projected everywhere from 2 to 8, but most of the Orioles centric blogs have him as 2 or 3. He will assuredly be high up and quite possibly leading off against lefties.
Valuable position with fantastic position flexibility with 2b/3b eligibility.
Improved park factor for a RHH. In case you didn't know the specifics they moved in left field 13 feet and in some places in right field 26 feet.
I know this isn't the most scientific post, but I'm convinced that this dudes trajectory is going up. Second base is an aging group with still led by Altuve (34), Semien (34), Ketel (31). I think it's completely reasonable that he could pass a few of the guys above him at his 6th overall 2b ADP.
I’ve heard a few analysts on different podcasts reference Oopsie as a ratings/rankings tool. I’ve never heard of it before this offseason. Where did it come from? Why is everyone using it all of the sudden?
The Belly Up Fantasy Live Baseball Show dropped their 1B Rankings this week. What are your thoughts?
