How long should I let comic autographs dry?

Will the autograph rub off if you touch it?

How would I go about getting a folied cover signed?

Are celebrity autographs (non TaylorSwift/TomCruise tier) actually worth anything?

I see all these high prices for autographs and stuff but don't get how resellers make a profit for many, many celebs who aren't top-tier famous. And even then their autographs might not add much value to what they sign. Like I've always liked the show Battlestar Galactica (the more recent BG) and even bid on an auction-item from the show but the price simply became too high to ever think of recovering the value.

I mean the average person thinks its a nerdy show at best. How could anyone who starred in the show ask a lot ($100 and up) for their autograph on items from the show they "starred in" that is so out of the consciousness of most people? This goes for almost any show btw that might be popular but isn't exactly "Seinfeld" famous.

Unable to Access Badge Purchase Options After Press Application Denial

UPDATE: They fixed it.

My boyfriend is having with purchasing badges for Wondercon. Currently, he can’t buy any badges because the system has removed all options except for the volunteer badge.

Here's the situation: After his press application was initially denied, he resubmitted it using a code provided by tech support. However, now he's unable to access any badge purchase options at all. When I tried adding him to my account to help complete the purchase, I got a message saying: “Account has purchased badges or missing member type requirements.” On top of that, he received an email stating his press application was denied, but it still shows up as pending on his account.

It seems like there’s a glitch in the system where it’s mistakenly marking all badges as already purchased for all days, preventing us from finishing the transaction. We really need to resolve this before the badge mail deadline of February 13th, 2025.

This is especially distressing because I rely on him for transportation due to my disability. If we can’t fix this issue, I may not be able to attend, and that would be really upsetting. We’ve both contacted customer support earlier today.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any advice on how to get this fixed quickly?

On my account, I can access all options and they did not sell out.

Where do professional venders sell their wares when not at comic con?

Hi! I'm just a curious Joe with this burning question if anyone wants to entertain me.

I'm aware there's places like Etsy, eBay or AliExpress etc etc to sell items on. But if we're talking about in person for a professional vendor. Do you guys have your own stores, travel far to other comic cons, attend smaller ones, is it a full time business doing this or a side hustle?

Many thanks for any replies, I'm keen to hear :). Joe

Collect a con first time there question

Hello! I plan on going this year to los angeles collect a con 2025, long story short I bought a regular pass for anime expo and it was a 5 hour wait to get in "hell" literally because of the summer heat. But for collect a con is it the same wait line? I'm Trying to know so I could buy the vip pass otherwise I wouldn't wanna waste money on the vip when I can just get a regular pass if the line isn't bad. If anyone has went to collect a con LA convention please let me know! Thank you for your time

Most comprehensive list of comic cons?

Is FanCons.com the most comprehensive list of comic cons? I would think so but then I see or heard of some cons and they aren't listed here.

Comic con vendors could you give some insight on the shows below and how they do for you guys?

Planning my year out and want to hit at least 7-9 cons in the year.

C2e2, Emerald, Motor city, Fan expo Philly/Chicago/Denver/Megacon, SDCC, DragonCon, LA comic con, FanX SLC, NYCC

Thanks! I’m excited to do them all if I can, but definitely need to see how they are first

When do vendors hear back on their application status?

I applied to be an artist in artist alley at Phoneix fan fusion a little while ago, and my application has been "under review" for about a month. I'm just curious how quickly artists get confirmed or denied cause the convention is in early June.

Is it allowed to stay in a room with someone not going to the con?

For San Diego comic con, I have a badge and wondering if it's allowed to bring someone with me who doesn't? They would be in a same room of course, but it would be a double occupancy room. Sorry if it's a stupid question, it's my first time going and I'm a bit overwhelmed

I want to meet a guest but I don’t have anything for them to sign.

A Voice actor guest will be at my local comicon and I would really like to meet him. I don’t have anything for him to sign so I don’t want to wait in line and waste his time. Would it be wrong to buy something at the con for him to sign?

(it will be Bryce Pinkham at Permian basin comic con x in marc)

Cosplay without a ticket?

Hi! I have a question for any cosplayers out there. I plan on attending C2E2 on Saturday in a really elaborate cosplay so I can walk around and take pics with people and see some panels. I’d also like to go Friday and Sunday too but not actually go into the main hall to walk around/attend. Does anyone know if event staff are ok with people just staying down by the indoor fountains to take photos with people? It’s the main entrance and I’ve seen cosplayers standing down there before but I’m wondering they yell at you for loitering or something. Because you wouldn’t actually be going through security and into the main event, you’d just be standing at the entrance essentially. Anyone heard of doing that? TIA! TLDR: can you just stand and be a cosplayer at the front of event hall without buying a ticket?

Autograph/M&G Etiquette

Please delete if not allowed. I'm planning to attend a meet and greet/signing at a con tomorrow, but it's for two people. I only watch/am a fan of one person's content and don't really know anything about the other guy. Is it rude to go as a "solo fan" and only interact with the creator I'm a fan of?
