Hello everyone!
This weekend I'm going to a convention and I got the costume and the wig ready, but I'm having second thoughts about the wig.
I'm cosplaying Lynette from Genshin, who has light hair. I have dark hair myself. I took pictures with the wig and without the wig and prefered the pictures without the wig. Then I told myself that it might've been because of the lack of make up and that I just had to do of sculpting and covering my dark eyebrows, but even with all of that I still lean towards using my own hair.
My own hair is a dark brown shag with strands of red in it - so completely different from Lynette's hair.
Would a wig really be better since it 'finishes' the cosplay even if I feel like the wig looks bulky and bad on me?
Or should I go with my natural hair?
Any advice and help is welcome!!
Hello everyone! Recently i won an ez cosplay giveaway of 50 dollars, so i was thinking of ordering a genshin impact lynette wig from them which would be 40 dollars with shipping,( im only considering because of the giftcard) and the actual cosplay from dokidoki Is it worth the risk? Or will i receive a really botched wig?
I want to cosplay my character from The Finals (minus the dog as I don’t have one lol) and before I get to the rest of the clothing I first wanted to deal with the mask. As it is a bit unusual yet I’d love to keep the look of it I was wondering if there’s some kind of shiny material that could be put on top of the mask (ideally with many small segments like in the image) which reflects from the outside but is see-through from the inside. Any general ideas on how to go about the whole mask in general are also welcome! :D
So there's like two weeks until I have to go to the Comic-Con and I have been having some questions for example how am I supposed to go there and how am I supposed to not overheat the suit because at least where I live it's pretty pretty hot now and as a beginner cosplayer I didn't realize how much the Eva foam holds in your body temperature, any ideas or tips-?
I'm going to a con in about a week and want to try cosplaying for the first time. How possible is it to put together a cosplay in less than a week? Any extra advice for a first timer is also appreciated.
I need help please! I'm a new cosplayer I have three cosplays and I don't know how to make them better. The cosplays I own are only wigs and outfit. I have fem todoroki, ochaco, and Veronica Sawyer. I use the same ua uniform for todoroki and ochaco. Veronica has a shirt and skirt however the shirt and skirt are wayy to big. Is there any tips or tricks anyone could give me? (I had no idea what to tag this as)
I don't know if this is allowed here, but basically I'm going to a gig on Halloween and I've decided to make my own costume to go as this specific costume of rouge from X-Men but I have no idea how I would go about trying to make this a reality. From the small amount of research I've done into this I'm having trouble trying to find colours that match for the whole fit. Any and all advice will be appreciated, I know this is early but I want to not leave any chances and give myself time to make mistakes and have to redo any of the garments that I need to
Thank you
Hi all, trying to find a workshop that specializes in mask creation. If anyone has any specific shops or profiles they can share that may be helpful. Should be expert I'm 3d printing.
I just get so embarassed and awkward when I'm taking photos (alone or when it's a friend taking them for me). I can't do any facial expression naturally, and my arms are kinda "in the way" everytime. My friends said I looked like I was frozen.
Is there any advice, or practice will make it better?
Hello! I'm a female cosplayer, 15 years old. I'm french but fluent in english.
So from 11 to 14 July in Paris there's the Japan Expo, and i'm all alone. I can't find people to hang out with because i go there on 14 July (Sunday) and i see everyone going everyday except THAT DAY!!
It's so frustrating :')...
Hello, there's a cosplay pool party near me and I want to have a costume or a prop that I can get in the pool with. I need to make something that's gonna withstand water, and also not come apart, at least for a day. I thought about making something out of pool noodles, but I'm not sure what adhesives or coloring I can use. Any advice? Any experience with pool party cosplays? Thanks in advance
I'm cosplaying Tomb Raider and wanna make my arms and face look dirty.
Is it safe to use actual dirt on my arms? Just regular 'clean' dirt with some water to make it muddy.
Or is there another way to easily make fake dirt that stays a few hours?
Thanks!
As the title says I'm looking to do a Hakari cosplay for a con coming up soon, and I'm trying to assemble pieces of his outfit as much as I can before I start making my own, since he has no pre-made cosplays you can get. But I can't find a good fur cost like he has in the Manga, and it's been really annoying, I have no price range really, if you have any advice or know of any jackets like his let me know, anything helps! I can send pictures of his jacket if needed as well.
Shirt and pants will change mainly just focus on the coat and the gas mask
Hello guys!
I'm looking for some advice on what to use for a "smeared blood" look on my face and arms like Princess Mononoke has in the attached scene. Also, any specific suggestions for the triangles on her cheeks? Ideally, I need stuff that lasts a whole con day. I'm not too worried about it staining clothing - I'm making a cosplay that is a rougher/more ragged version of her. There's going to be plenty of deliberately placed stains. Thank you!
I want to cosplay Aira Shiratori in her acro silky form from the manga DanDaDan. I decided to style the wig myself as therw are no peestyled wigs available. this is my first time actually styling a wig and the more I look at the chatacter the harder it seems. i alread have a wig that can be styled i just need a good way to start. do you more experienced people have any tips? is this wog enough for a decent result or do i need to get creative whit glue and extensions?
Thanks in advance!
