I wouldn't think there are many things on this subreddit that would need it, but use the NSFW tag when it needs it.

I have a file of the prop I want printed but I don’t know anything about materials let alone where I can get it printed for me, I’ve got 3 months until my convention I’m willing to pay for materials and shipping but I don’t know who or what business to consult about cosplay 3D printing
This isn't exactly cosplay, but I assume people in this community have the most experience with this type of thing. I need to attach multiple (20+) small items weighing about 70g each to the inside of my suit jacket. It's a pretty cheap suit, so I'm not too worried about ruining it, but I'd prefer not to do any sewing. Any suggestions? Cosplay-strength tape maybe?
Doing a demon cosplay and was wondering that the best pure black body paint is?
So recently I have wanted to cosplay Chester from Brawl Stars, but their seems to be no Chester Costume/Props I can purchase. And I need some help finding a good person to commission to make the cosplay for me. Thank you!
Anyone know a site where I can find a gorilla mask that only covers my head(not my neck)? I found one on amazon but it is WAYYY too big on me.
I’m a beginner cosplayer I’ve never made armor before and I need some advice. I see so many armors/props that have smooth seamless finishes which I know for a fact cannot be achieved with EVA foam alone, I’ve been suggested foam clay but when I use it, it dries lumpy and barely blends into the EVA foam at all which would be fine if you could sand it, but you can’t! If I sand an edge the edge rips up and if I sand a thicker part it starts tearing, I’m even using super fine sandpaper. Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to wait longer for it to dry? Is it the particular clay I’m using? (Craftlite foam clay from craft knight) and if so what’s the best brand? Better yet is there a better material that’s 1. Light weight 2. easy to create somewhat fine detailing 3. Blends into the EVA foam 4. doesn’t crack and 5. Is sandible? That I don’t know about? The picture is the bracer I made with EVA foam and foam clay, as you can see the wings are very bumpy with lots of imperfections when you zoom in. Thank you for any and all help!
I'm making feathers and I've been using 2mm, but I'm wondering if 1mm would look better. However, I'm worried it'll be too easily damaged (I will be sealing/painting/varnishing so it should have a few layers of protection). I'm also reinforcing the feathers with wire.
making a 24" hat the protype won't fit in the the suitcase. it's made out of some basic craft foam and organza. I just need it to last for 1 day at a con so I'm not expecting it to be high quality. Its similar to the photo. How can I help downsize the hat so I can being it with me on the plane?
Looking for good varnishes for a number of things including foam, polymer clay and latex projects. Everything I've tried has either been ruined by the Aussie heat (becomes tacky and makes everything stick to it or just downright melts), has cracked and flaked or has just not been protective enough. Would really appreciate the assistance. Thanks in advance! ✨️
Making a Hell Divers suit but I want to make it look like it's been though the Creek once or twice. Any advice?
I want to paint these silicone cat ears (these are from my headphones) green temporarily. I don't want it to be permanent. I seen you could probably remove the paint with isopropyl alcohol but I want to make sure. I don't want there to be any scratch marks left on the ears when I try to take the paint off. I've tried putting newspaper and masking tape on them so I can paint over it so I don't have to worry about it. But nothing really works so I'm thinking of just painting right on them.
Does anyone know where I can find quality images of the graphics on Hudson's vest (Death or Glory, Louise, Contents Under Pressure, Dispose of Properly) that can be made into iron-ons or decals?
My biggest concern is young kids (under ~8), who want to "test" the costume to proof Batman (Santa, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Superman, etc) is real by punching the cowl, arm, chest/stomach, etc. I don't want to go to conventions wearing cheap foam and tell kids; "careful this took me months to build and is not real!" (Not sure how they would quiz test other characters, not my concern).
Not going for a singular movie style, just doing the best I can with my creative skills and whats affordably available! #Currently I have:
Hi all, I'm brand new to making cosplay props and decided to go big with my first project. I 3d printed a Mark V [B] Spartan helmet from Halo: Reach. The helmet came out beautifully, but now I'm on to the hard part of all of this: vacuum forming the visor. I've never done vacuum forming before but I've watched several videos on how to do it and the basic necessities for forming at home. I have a buck that's fully prepped for the project and have had a few swings at trying to get it to work, but no dice. I'm using 12x12x0.02 inch sheets of PETG plastic to make the visor and I put them in the oven at 300 degrees Fahrenheit until it droops to what seems like it should be enough. Every time, though, my plastic comes out completely fogged over and won't fully seal. I've reduced the sealing issue to just being poor construction of my vacuum former, as it was a bit rushed and done completely by hand. As for the plastic, I have no clue where I'm going wrong. I don't know how to prevent it from fogging over. I was hoping that somebody here knew how to help.
TLDR: Having issues vacuum forming my PETG plastic sheets. Every time I heat them up, they fog over, but if I don't heat them up enough, they won't stretch over the buck. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you!
Another mage book commission, this time a slight colour variation and a few small changes to internal doodads. All that's left is to pack it in with a ton of bubble wrap and hope it doesn't get banged up on its long journey.
