Support for the old.reddit stylesheet is currently "best effort" as despite our valiant attempts, changes by Reddit are causing things to break or behave inconsistently.

I've been playing City Skylines 2 for a while now, and I’m finally starting to get the hang of adding trains. Right now, the hardest part for me is building good track infrastructure. Here’s my dilemma: I want to add an interchange in this spot, but I don’t want it to mess up my train tracks. Should I try to reroute the tracks somewhere else, or is there a way to make the interchange work without disrupting them?
Map is Barrier Islands!
Every time I try to open cities skylines, it says “opening” then nothing happens, and it closes. I’ve tried uninstalling the paradox launcher and all that, nothing works. Tips? In steam btw
Was decorating my interchange when I noticed the traffic coming south was having a hard time merging with the lane headed east. I’ve tried changing my lane math so two dual lane highways enter a four lane but it only made things worse.
The problem seems to be the west->east traffic only use the left lane when merging, causing the south-to-east traffic to become congested. Any tips on how to encourage them to use the right lanes would be great.
I’m on XBOX so can’t use mods but if there are any DLCs that would help let me know :)
I really like where the game is headed finally, though like many, I still have a lot of remaining criticisms. I don't wanna talk much about that, though. Right now I just wanna share a few things I'd really like to see them add in the future!
More performing arts buildings, like theaters, opera house, and a concert hall. CS1 never quite satisfied me in this way, either. To me, no city feels complete without a little performing arts district, with a variety of different kinds of venues. The theater in the French pack is cool, but my itch isn't scratched yet!
More museums. I wanna have a few more museums to add to my central parks and waterfronts!
Hotel zoning. I'm glad to see the recent adjustments to hotels working... Better than before, but I really don't like having to zone for commercial and pray. I think doing this would also require changes to how tourism operates generally, but I would love to see it.
Smaller university assets, so I can arrange them together to make a more custom-feeling university campus area. I'm excited for the new college and university assets in the modern architecture pack but from what I can tell, they're still massive
More subdivided menus. Especially the schools menu. The more schools they add, the more unwieldy that menu is becoming, so I really think there should be separate tabs for each tier of education.
Combined zoning. Instead (or in addition to) having all these separate zoning tools for different styles, I think we should be able to combine them! For example: If I don't necessarily care whether the mixed use medium-density zoning I'm placing spawns German or French buildings, but want it to be from one of the two, I'd like to be able to multi-select when I'm placing zoning.
That's about all I can think of for now, but with how much time I've spent on this game, there's probably plenty of ideas I had and then forgot about lmao
All i want is for this line, the South Loop Clockwise, to do a full loop through its tracks. Why does it refuse to go on the east segment???
When i start from East Deals to Greenlove or the Heights to East Deals, it doubles back past ED. When i start at TH, it doesn't let me start on the right side of the tracks. When i start at GL, it won't let me stop on the right side of TH's tracks either. How do i make it a complete line while going through the eastern segment? Why did the counter-clock work fine??
... is one of the most common questions we see on the subreddit at the moment, leading to dozens of duplicate posts asking essentially the same thing: Should I buy the game or not?
It is our intent that this megathread will help collect information to help you make your decision, and provide a place to ask for more subjective opinions from community members.
If you're after general information about or help with the game (e.g. features, minimum or recommended specs, the situation related to modding, when the game will release on consoles), check out our wiki articles below. They'll provide you a decent base level of knowledge and help you understand more about the features and limitations of the game.
As of the start of this month, there have been over a dozen patches for the game. You can review the change log for each patch on the Paradox Wiki:
The main channel for "formal" communication from the developers comes via the Official Information & Announcements section on the Paradox Forums. We maintain an accompanying megathread for each post which captures a lot of player feedback and reactions to the news shared each week.
The best way to catch up on past posts is to browse the Dev Diary and/or Announcement flairs and dip into the more recent ones. Unfortunately, these links may not work on Reddit's mobile apps (please tell Reddit if you'd like this fixed) but in the meantime you can go to the main page of the subreddit and use the "filter by flair" options provided.
If you're interested in seeing how the game is playing today, you can check out recent videos or streams from YouTube and Twitch. These will show you the "real" game, not marketing videos. As there is only limited mod support for the game at this stage, what you see will broadly be vanilla gameplay and will help you understand how the game is performing at the moment.
Many critic reviews aren't necessarily reflective of the current state of the game. That said, reviews are helpful sources of information to help you decide whether or not to drop your cash on any new game, not just Cities: Skylines II.
If you're still unsure, Cities: Skylines II is available on Microsoft Game Pass for PC, which is a subscription service at a much lower monthly cost than the full retail price of the game. Microsoft is currently offering an initial 14-day trial for as low as £1/$1/1€ (which renews at full price after the 14 days).
If for any reason you can't make use of a discounted Game Pass for PC subscription (i.e. it may not be available in your region), you have the option of purchasing the game and refunding it within the store's refund window.
Recognising that you may not be able to reach the "late game" within 2 hours, you can use this 100k benchmarking city to establish whether or not you're comfortable with the performance on your system.
If you've got specific questions about items not covered in these FAQs, feel free to ask them below. ##👋 Hello, welcome to /r/CitiesSkylines
Our little community has grown to over half a million subscribers, so as you can imagine things get a little busy in here. The purpose of this thread is to provide new members a jumping-off point to find the information that they need to get started, whether they're a seasoned player of the game or a brand new mayor.
We get a lot of posts which ask very similar questions, so we've pulled together this post to help address our most Frequently Asked Questions, and give you a place to ask simple questions which only need a quick answer, not warranting a dedicated thread.
Before you post, please consider if one of our sister-subreddits would be more appropriate:
/r/ShittySkylines - memes, reaction images, tenuous and obscure references, real-life photos that remind you of the game, and gags based on in-game activities like "a dead person is waiting for transport at shop-til-you-drop" all go here
/r/CitiesSkylinesModding - if you have a request for a mod, want to commission an asset, or need help with your own mod/asset/map creation it should be posted here
If you still think that /r/CitiesSkylines is the right subreddit, please first check the FAQ below.
Please be aware that if you create a new thread which is addressed by the answers or links in this thread, it will likely be removed with a message directing you back here. This is not done to stifle conversation, but rather to help keep the subreddit tidy and provide as much space as possible for mayors to share their creations and inspire others.
If your question is genuinely a simple one, like "how do I do X", please use this thread rather than creating a new post.
Finally, if your question isn't already answered below - please use Reddit's search function to try and find if your query has been asked and answered in the past. If not? Feel free to create a fresh discussion thread.
The format of this update thread has been simplified with core information rehosted on our subreddit wiki. This enables us to update the content more quickly and reliably, and to reduce the visual impact of a 2000+ word thread.

Title. I recently got the game on steam and I haven’t even been able to change one-way road direction because I don’t know what my secondary click is or if I can map that, the normal two finger click isn’t working at all. I really appreciate any help.
My laptop took a dump and I haven't gotten around to replacing it yet. Started playing C:S1 on console in the meantime and I'm obsessed. I just wish I could expand beyond 9 tiles.
Does the PC version offer more than 9? I feel like I've seen cities on this subreddit that have over a dozen at least.
I have searched a lot for some way of converting Game Pass version save files to Steam. I played Cities Skylines 1 a lot by Game Pass, but without the ability to add mods, my cities are very limited. I wanted to convert the save files to the Steam version, but I found no way to do this. If anyone solved this, please tell me!
I´m looking for a mod that would let me make outside connections with modded highways. Any Road Outside Connections and Unlimited Outside Connections don´t work. Apparently Network Anarchy should have let me do it, but it doesn´t, and I haven´t found any other mod for this. I wanted to ask in Network Anarchy´s comments, but the creator doesn´t seem to be active.
