This is Arcadia, 29.5m sims (traffic and satellite views). I've been in and out of this region for about 8 years now so thought I'd share for the first time. First city was bottom centre, and most recent completed city is top left.
Growth and expansion has been very organic and lots of retrofits of infrastructure to support big city populations. Most land has been reclaimed and the island was originally about 25% the size it is now. I've never had a "plan" and there are big areas that don't quite make sense but I'm gradually getting through completing the unfinished areas and fixing up unusual parts with some sort of plan in mind. The biggest city is about 3.7m sims, there are three cities with over 3m sims and 5 over 1m.
Happy for any questions or feedback. I've used plenty of mods and cheats so definitely not a vanilla SimCity 4 setup. Hope you like it!

Sorry for the stupid question. I am making a clover interchange, but the title part can only be propped in one direction, and the bottom left leaf is fine, but the top left leaf part cannot be built.
I can't reverse the 90 degree part up and down.
I think I am doing something spectacularly wrong.
The local vineyard needed a production, distribution facility and offices.
Wish that second entrance wasn't on the back of the lot.
...hopefully it looks like a garden center..
Seems between chunks are still a little iffy but I fixed the mountains in the middle for the most part.
Which is a great thing.
Does anyone have links to BATs of sc3k buildings? The only one I can find is Bluerise.
I am so generic when coming up with city names. "Town Town," "Town City," "Big Canyon." I wanna know if y'all have any fun or silly names for your cities!
Hi there - I want to play with CAM enabled. Are those Lots still available? I remember there were a lot of them back then on SC4 Devotion.
Hello, I am new to this subreddit but a long time player. I recently returned to the game for the first time as an adult and I now have the patience and foresight to build more sophisticated cities and do more regional play. I am building my commercial center in a large tile and have 5 connecting suburban and industrial cities feeding into it. My central tile has about 160,000 pop. now with 600,000 regionally. There is still a lot more room for development in my central tile, but the game is running really slow now. I'm wondering if that's because of all the connections? Is this normal at this point in developing the region? I am hoping to get past 1,000,000 population but at this pace that will take forever. I'm running the game on my dell XPS laptop that I have had for about 4 years. It has 8GB of RAM and CPU around 2 GHz. Would I need a faster PC to go much further? Is there anyway to solve this problem? Btw the major mods I have running are NAM v 48, Roadtop mass transit, and an industry doubler. Any thoughts?
Hey folks
I have a tile with 621 residents and a bunch of farms.
The census is showing Commuters from SimNation as 119k, 27k commercial commuters and 13k industrial commuters out of the city. The 40k commuters leaving this tike is way higher than the 621 residents.
I thought I had the eternal communter bug (though it didn't have enough NC for this). Anyway, I've deleted every NC this this tile and in the neighbouring tiles, and run each tile for multiple years. No change. Traffic is negligible and there are no ferries.
My next steps is to nuke the city, but wanted to check in with the SC4 brains trust. Any idea what is causing this and how to resolve?
Cheers, Dave
Whats the tallest residential building in the SC4 default game?
And how long/how much tearing hair out will it take.
