Public transport stop with only embarking or disembarking

When building a public transport system I like to make a few longer (let's call them intercity lines) and a few local lines. In game though, this cases problems with passenger queuing up in masses for the intercity lines, even though they only riding one or two stops (thus served by local lines). In the real world (at least where I live) this is solved by not allowing disembarking on the first local stops, and not alowing embarking at the last local stop at the end oft the line.

Does there exist a mod that let's me recreate that in Cities skylines? I e allowing me to select if a public transit stop allows embarking, disembarking or both?

Custom Netlanes

I am making decals for custom airport and runways for CS2. I need to make some custom lane markers and love the way NetLanes works. Is there any way to make custom net lanes like there is for custom decals? I cannot find anyone to answer this on Discord

Smaller font size for district names

I'd really like a smaller font size for the district names. I know it's not possible to change it in the game atm so I thought I'd ask here. Would it be possible to create a mod that does this?

Map Makers - What do you typically set sea level as for your maps?

I'm making a map and trying to find the goldilocks zone that's not too shallow but not too deep either.

Also, it kind of bothers me that terrain height is not based on what the sea level of a map is... but that's a rant for another day.

Are there any district styles to a CS that look like CS 2?

Like DISTRICT STYLES exactly. I'm having a hard time trying to install different assets and combine them to my own district style.
What I mean by "look like CS 2" is generic buildings, that look pretty realistic and not so pretentious.
I really like the style of CS 2, but it's getting very boring to play, the exact opposite situation with the first game

Title. I’m thinking of finally moving to CS2 but i haven’t found the mods im looking for. Im talking about mods like pollution remover in CS1 where you could toggle each need from the options menu. Any good LOD or eyecandy mods would also be appreciated!

Backyard animations?

Would it be possible for house backyard animations to be coded? Something like bar-b-que parties or someone playing fetch with a dog or cims lounging around or pool parties. Something to give a little life to the city. Does someone already have a mod for this or is this possible to make?

Do 3U wide road mods exist?

One issue I'm running into both recreating real cities and creating my own is that the jump from 2U to 4U wide roads is massive. Assuming equal sidewalks you're going from 4 lanes to 8 lanes plus a significant central median. Does anyone make 3U road mods or do they just not work right in CS:1?

On a similar note, there doesn't seem to be anything available that would have both street parking and bike lanes, or street parking and side boulevard space. There is half a handful of stock and modded 4U roads which have both parking and a treed median, but that is it. Is this some sort of limitation of the game that you can't mix parking with certain other elements?

Would the floor of a custom park asset be part of the mesh?

Hey folks,

I'm completely brand new to creating custom assets for the game. I'm in the process of creating a model for a handball court (park) in Blender. I made the wall already but I don't know how to go about doing the floor/court.

The floor would be concrete, which the Asset Editor does allow you to place down but 1) I might want to do my own version/color of the concrete and 2) I need to put painted white lines down on the floor. So the question is, how do I do this? Do I model the floor together with the wall in my mesh? Do I somehow load in the floor as its own texture or image (I don't know how I would do this)?

For those who aren't familiar with what a handball court in the U.S./NYC is, here's an example. I would imagine this same thought process and solution would apply to basketball courts, tennis courts, etc.

Mod for removing billboards/signage from buildings?

Hi all - I've been trying to find a mod that lets me toggle off the ridiculous amount of signage plastered all over every non-residential building, as using the bulldozer tool is getting tedious fast!

Does anyone know of anything out there? Cheers 🙂

Custom Population City

Not totally sure where to start! No idea the level of skill or effort or time this needs BUT I have a project/idea that I would LOVE to make come to life.

I want to request or make a mod where I can input the exact amount of citizens in my city every day or every few days. I would like to have it so they do not give birth, or die on their own. Nor do they emigrate or immigrate by themselves either. It should be the exact value I set each day, and I can add or remove population at will. Everything else should be normal.

Is anybody willing to help me with this? Is it something I can learn to do on my own easily?

Is there any way to create a CS2 heightmap that doesn't involve Mapbox?

Can't even create an account for the damn site so I haven't got the access token that's required by terraining.ateliernonta. Any help?

EDIT: For anyone in the future, use a VPN to create the account. That worked for me.

Issue with baking rivers onto a heightmap

Before using r.patch

After using r.patch

I'm having trouble adding rivers to my heightmap for a map. When I load the finished heightmap into the map editor, I see random sunken square sections instead of rivers. The 0m heightmap file for rivers and lakes looks fine when zoomed in, but when I bake these rivers onto the main heightmap, they become low resolution.

A tutorial video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Q3\_jRTN1\_s&t=3182s) mentioned the file should be around 57000 by 57000 pixels. My heightmap data isn't as detailed as 1m accuracy, even though it's the right pixel dimensions. It seems QGIS is using the lower detail from my heightmap instead of burning in the water features at the highest possible detail. This explains why my rivers aren't drawn properly - they appear as a few larger, spaced-out pixels instead of a smooth river shape.

I haven't found a solution to this problem yet. The issue specifically occurs when I run the r.patch command in QGIS. If anyone knows what to do, I would really appreciate the help.

How can I apply my own custom road to the vanilla bridge.

Hello.

Is it possible to replace the roads used in the vanilla highway bridge network with my own custom highway made using the Road Builder mod? I would really like to have uniform markings across all my roads and the vanilla roads are ruining it. Any help or suggestions are much appreciated.

I want to make a mod for City skylines the first one but I'm not for sure where to begin.

The idea behind the mod I want to create is a one tile road of each type like the gravel road the street the regular road etc etc but it takes up two tiles so you got a road on one side and grass on the other or you could choose the road and concrete on the other then have them inverted to where you can invert the the tile.

The problem I always had when I played this game is I start out with small roads but as my city grew I need to expand my roads but the problem is I have to destroy half my downtown doing that because there are one tile roads and not two tile roads.

Any help is appreciated.

I would love to create a dreamy New England-style town for autumn, inspired by Halloween lore and movies/TV shows. Ideally, I'd like to see a wide range of horror movie or Halloween-inspired assets, such as:

  • Camp Crystal Lake Assets
  • The cabin from Evil Dead
  • The Psycho House and Motel
  • Salem, MA witchy assets
  • Halloweentown Square Park
  • The house from Practical Magic
  • The Nightmare on Elm Street House
  • The Myers house from Halloween
  • Sidney’s house from Scream
  • Spookier cemetery or church assets
  • Authentic-looking mortuary/funeral homes
  • The Beetlejuice town assets / mini town including Dante’s Inferno Room
