Suntup Editions and Amaranthine Books
I am just about to start this, but the title suggests a theme that my thoughts move in current with.
I need some help with some ideas. With Xmas around the corner I wanted to hear some ideas on what I can get my wife book related for Xmas. Whether it’s decor, comfort items or something meaningful. She has over 300 books so I don’t think it’s a good idea as far as a book goes unless it’s something that’s unique and one of a kind. Picture posted is an idea of books she orders. These are some of the last couple she has ordered. Thanks for the help.
So we have to clean out my grandmas house to sell it (she’s not dead, but she has dementia and is in assisted living now) and we found this book in her library. Now it says it’s the revised edition and based on my research the book was written in the late 1800s, first published in 1909 but not made available to the general public till 1967. The last revision made in 1973. This book says copyright 1882,1893,1909 by the John Murphy company. It also says it was revised by Charles M McCarthy who I looked up. He was born in 1860 and died 1941 so he couldn’t have revised the 1967 or 1973 versions obviously. But in the publishers preface it says this “…carefully revised throughout , and has been brought down to the beginning of the year 1909. So idk what year it’s from. Any ideas?
They're also the ones that got me hooked on reading again.
Recent pickups this week…
Box packed by me in recent book fair held in jammu. You have to pay for the box not for individual books!
A modern classic that became the catalyst for my love of reading and books! Figured this was a prime way of memorializing it!
I’m 42 years old and have never been to a used bookstore. I’ve just found heaven on earth.
This is a whole different world of fantasy. I like it!
