The subreddit dedicated to the wonderful blackthorn tree.
Prunus spinosa, called blackthorn or sloe, is a species of flowering plant in the rose family Rosaceae. It is native to Europe, western Asia, and locally in northwest Africa. It is also locally naturalised in New Zealand, Tasmania and eastern North America.
The fruits have been used to make sloe gin in Britain, and the wood used for making wands, walking sticks or the shillelagh by the Irish.

I'm looking to grow a blackthorn tree but don't know a good place to get seeds, or info on what the tree likes best. Any suggestions? I live in the states.
I've created this subreddit for all those Blackthorn lovers who wish to share their affection for one of the most beautiful trees of all time! The Blackthorn tree.
We're still a work in progress, we don't have everything set up yet. But we are extremely ambitious! Our hope is to create a wholesome Subreddit to share our love of the Blackthorn tree. We're pretty excited!
Please feel free to provide suggestions on how we can improve the sub, or if you are interested in helping out!
