After our last pitbull Kane, passed away we knew he would want us to save another soul in his memories so we eventually went and saw this little ragamuffin, 6 months old and all boney and sad. 

Now he’s an absolute snuggle monster and is such a happy guy it’s contagious.

8 day difference

Bruno on the day he was pulled from the shelter vs after being loved, groomed, and spoiled rotten.

Shiva’s first year of life was spent chained and starved, but now she’s healthy and loved! She is also the best roadtrip partner ever.

Now he’s getting the love and attention… And sweatshirts! That he needs. Also, heartworm treatment!

Dirty mop ran out in front of my car yesterday

Last year we heard meowing coming from our chimney. It be would off and on so we thought a cat might be going in and out of it. Turns out he was actually stuck and finally came out when we opened the flue. Rather than be freaked out he meandered around the room and the Cat Distribution System had given us our 5th cat.

I’ve posted my boy before but I had to post him again because I can’t believe how far he has come in the last 6 months! He was very shut down at first and now he is anything but that! I’m just happy with how far he has come and I had to share him again with all of you ☺️

She’s a golden retriever labradoodle mix and was an owner surrender, her name was also originally Pinky. She is the sweetest thing ever and always wants snuggles. She’s also very spoiled and goes with dad to work almost everyday.

Shelter pics, freedom ride pic, after pic Maria was at the local shelter. She came in matted with a long ago fractured leg, skin condition… Terrible teeth. We took her in, cleaned her up… she was blessed to be fostered by a dog groomer so she looked adorable! And very soon after, she found her Forever home where they treated her like the little princess she was. Consider fostering for your local rescue, it really helps create miracles!

I found Penny scavenging trash on the side of the road alone as an 8-month old puppy. She weighed only 35 pounds, and had some fear, but with time,  love, clicker training and careful confidence building she became a great dog. I’ve even had people ask if she was a service dog in training due to her excellent behavior. She’s traveled the whole US with me and we’ve had so many adventures!

Cookie was surrendered by her along with another dog because she “didn’t want them anymore”.

She was emaciated, with a body score of 1/5, her jaw was broken and what few teeth remained were held in by mats of hair.  75% of her body was totally matted and she was covered in urine and feces (some of the which was matted to her eye causing trauma that resulted in a cataract). 

I expected her to be more scared given her trauma but this girl was bursting at the seams ready to receive love. Once the mats were gone she remembered how GOOD it felt to be pet and she would politely solicit by throwing herself backwards into your arms, belly up.

When I brought her home my goal was to create an entitled “bratty” girl who trusted us and felt secure enough that we were a safe place to expect the very best and let me tell you…I got what I wished for and I sometimes wish I didn’t wish it 😂😂😂.

She makes me laugh EVERY DAY.  She is incredibly, scarily intelligent and aware of what’s going on around her. She is an agile bouncy little rabbit, with a healthy disrespect of anyone else’s personal space.

While I’m certain the permanent seething rage I feel towards her previous owner and the laws that meant she only received a $100 fine is the reason for my new gray hairs…

I cannot imagine my life without her and I’m so grateful to be a part of her story 💕💕.

From one of the worst neglect cases I’ve seen to a stunning joyful princess: The Cookie Story

I found her on Facebook marketplace being sold as an item that was “no longer needed”. When I first saw her, she was covered in smelly matted hair that was as rough as pine needles. Took her to the vet and was told she had had at least 3 litters, and her back left foot had been broken for awhile. I was so angry someone could treat her like this. Took her home, gave her a long bath, and a new name. Goodbye to her “stage” name, Shooting Star Belle, and hello to her new name, Phoebe. 🩶 2 years since her gotcha day, and has never stopped wanting to be held.

Our darling girl was abandoned outside a shelter by a backyard breeder when she could no longer produce more puppies. She went to a foster home and we eventually adopted her in June 2023. She’s now queen of castle, living with her DINK parents.

We adopted this big lovable boy a year and a half ago after his elderly owner passed away. He was 35lbs at the time of adoption but through hard work and dedication on our part (and his), he is down to 27.2lbs! 7.8lbs down and many more to go!

Yesterday was Mooch's five year adoption anniversary.  She was estimated to be 10 months old. I'm amazed by how different she looks even though she was almost fully grown, she has just blossomed into health and isn't scared anymore.

Technically day after adoption

Philomena (called Mena) was discovered as a very sick kitten on the side of the road. She was taken to the local humane society and nursed back to health. I adopted her about 6 weeks ago. The first picture was from her Petfinder page and made me want to cry. Second picture is today.
