how do i turn him back on
Mom, you have ugly photo here. I block it and I be your new meowdel in the picture.
hello! to make a long story short .. a friend of mine found a litter of four semi-feral kittens and i am thinking of adopting one! they are pretty small, maybe 6-8 weeks old? i have never owned a cat before and i’ve done the necessary research on what i need and how i should approach raising a cat … but i am still pretty nervous 😅 any advice (whether about taming semi-feral kittens or general kitty advice) would be amazing!!
Hi everyone!
I adopted a 3-month old kitten last week. He was with a foster family alongside his mother and brother.
I live in an apartment alone. The last few days have been good. He seems to really like me. Has been eating wet/dry food and using the litter box well. We play a few times a day and he sleeps in between those sessions.
I work from home sometimes, but since I’m an ecologist, I also spend full days away in the field. I bought many self-play toys for him that he’s become familiar with over the last few days with me at home.
Tomorrow, I’ll be gone all day and I’m worried he’ll be lonely. Even though I’ve kitten-proofed every room, I’m also concerned he might still mess with things he shouldn’t because he doesn’t have another kitten around. I’ve been reading about single kitten syndrome and he does exhibit a few of those traits, but he’s also young so I’m not exactly sure what’s normal. I grew up with cats (not kittens).
Was it a mistake to only adopt one cat? I don’t think I have the space or time for multiple…
Thanks for your advice!
