This may sound kind of selfish and really ungrateful but I’m a bit unsure of what to do. Me, (18 F) have had my horse for nearly 5 years now, when I tell you I love that animal to pieces i really, really do. The last two years I have began to lose interest in riding and just the whole equestrian community in general, but about 6 months ago I got into a car accident and wasn’t able to leave the house on my own or do anything for myself for a good 2 months. In this period of time I did not see my horse very much, maybe once or twice (my mother was looking after him so he wasn’t completely left). But In this time I realised how much I enjoyed not having a horse and riding in general. If you don’t know, having a horse is a very high maintenance pet which requires you putting a lot of your time and money into it. Since my accident I have got a loaner for him which basically means someone pays you to come ride and look after him. This has helped a lot but I still have to go down to the stables sometimes and to be completely honest with you, I hate it. I hate the whole idea of doing it, I’ve consulted with my parents about selling him but they just aren’t happy with it, they want me to keep him but I just really don’t want to do it anymore, and I know if I sell him he can go to someone who would really appreciate him and give him the attention and exercise he needs. Now I’ve completely stopped riding, I stopped about 4 months ago and now just deal with his maintenance and feeding him, but I just feel trapped. What do people think? I don’t see my mind changing anytime soon which is devastating because I really do love my horse.

I am a senior in college entering into the field of equine-assisted mental health therapy. As part of my graduation requirements, I must complete a senior project. For this project, I'd like to compile stories about how horses have helped human emotional and mental health.
If you have such a story, I would love to hear it!!!
TL;DR for you especially busy groomers/caretakers: Please let us know if you are familiar with/have used our clippers/blades and feel free to share what you liked/disliked about your experience. I'm here to answer any questions you may have as well and can provide product literature if you'd like, so ask away!
Hey everyone! My name is Ryan Henson and I have been working for Furzone for about a month now and thought it would be good to establish a bit of a presence here on Reddit in order to open a more direct line of communication between us and the people who may end up using our products.
We really appreciate you all taking the time to read through this post and would love to address any questions or comments you have! I'll post a brief outline below going over who we are as a business and what we believe sets us apart from our competitors, but the main reason for this post is to hear from you guys to see who is familiar with or has used our clippers or blades and how your experience was/how well we stacked up to other brands you have used.
We do not sell our products to Walmart, Amazon, or other predatory retailers and as such are able to provide higher quality products at comparable prices to our competitors. None of our products are produced or assembled in China
We use high quality Japanese and Taiwanese motors and proudly display the SPM and torque on our packaging. (most if not all of our competitors only display SPM and disregard torque because it costs more money to make a high torque motor, even though it is much more essential if you want a set of clippers that can cut continuously through thin/thick/wet/dry hair without slowing or snagging and potentially harming your pet)
Our return/replacement process is simple and straight forward and we offer full warranties on all of our clippers & blades which meet or exceed the often limited warranties our competitors offer on similar products.
In addition to our high quality clippers, we are proud to offer the best blades available on the market:
All of our blades are made from the highest quality Japanese surgical steel we can find and source from a single supplier in order to have maximum quality control.
All of our blades have a Rockwell Hardness of 62. This is as hard as the blades can be in order to allow for the sharpest edge and max time between resharpening, while still allowing for effective sharpening. If they are any softer, they won't be as sharp and lose their edge quickly; if they are any harder they become too brittle and will break when resharpening.
We also provide replacement blades that fit not only for our clippers but many of our competitors most popular brands as well. This can allow our customers to make a significant upgrade without having to commit to buying a new set of clippers.
We also offer comb sets that are made from stainless steel and are spring loaded for an optimal fit.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read through my post and consider adding our products to your suite of tools whether you are a prosumer, professional groomer, or buying for personal use. Please feel free to comment below or PM me with any questions or comments you may have and I'll make sure to respond ASAP. I also check my emails regularly throughout the day, so if you'd like you can reach me there at ryanhfurzone@gmail.com
Thanks again everyone, hope you all have a great day and enjoy the rest of your week!
Just want to hear the debate on store bought vaccines as opposed to having the vet come out to administer.
There is a chance that I can get my Dixie-doodle girl in on a cancer clinical trial, but the problem is that it is in Florida, and I am in Texas. They need to do the vaccinations about once a month, for the first 3 months.
But I am trying to find an affordable boarding situation for her.
She is at the point that if we can't get this giant tumor shrunken down, then she is probably going to die in pretty short order. And her tumor is huge right now, probably about the size of a watermelon.
My boss just bought a ranch out in Oxnard, CA and it came with 2 donkeys and my job is to find them a home. Any help would be great.
They can be a little mean :)
