We purchased a J8+, for $700, and everything was fine for about a year. A couple weeks ago it stopped being able to connect to WiFi. Basically, the whole reason it’s expensive. Map won’t work, app won’t work, nothin. So I try everything possible… hard reset, app reset, remove battery, reset WiFi etc. I finally call Roomba customer service and I explain the issue. They are familiar with this error code (error 76) and ask if I did XYZ. I say yes, expecting they will say yea it’s a factory software bug, what’s your address we will send another.

They say, ok. If you’ve tried all those resets and it’s still throwing that error code, unfortunately that’s the last option. And I’m like ok... Do you want me to send it back or just toss it? And they say that’s your choice what you do with the Robot. And at THAT point I realize what they’re saying, and I’m like hold up. You aren’t sending another one?!!! They’re like no sir, it’s over the warranty period of like X days, whatever the warranty is. And I’m like dude. This thing is still basically new, and this is a connection problem, it’s not like it’s been damaged or heavily used… you’re telling me it’s $700 gone because the robot just decided to stop connecting to WiFi?? Do I have any other options? Unfortunately, no. We are going to replace it with the cheaper competitor, and never get another Roomba. We typically don’t mind paying for a name brand, if it’s going to work better. This was definitely an exception. Never again.

Is there some way to attach cat ears to my roomba? Like do they produce roomba sized hairbands with cat ears on them that can fold easily when going under things? And not like realistic real cat ears, but like the stereotypical(?) animal like not real kind of cat ears. And maybe whiskers? No I’m not in need of mental help, just bold.
