Hello , I am an bahraini I have been suffering since I was born on this planet with a bad father. I am currently in my mid-twenties I am unemployed. I live with my father, and he gets drunk and cheats on my mother. My brothers and I do not talk to him, and we cannot stop him if he gets drunk. I did not intend to talk about this issue, but I think he will never get better. My mother suffered with him more than He has been in this condition for 35 years, and even the money he gives her is very little compared to the salary he has. He treats us like animals, and after he retired from work, he started going out every day and drinking every day. The situation has become very bad and annoying, even when sleeping, you cannot rest in it because of the disturbance and problems he makes in the middle of the night. I don’t know what I can do. He does this because he knows that we do not have another place or enough money to leave his house, There are many other issues from the hell I live in, which has caused me psychological and social problems. I hope someone has a solution or suggests something to me, I have been stuck with this thing for years
I'm curious as to how everyone felt towards it. I had a blast as usual but I was personally disappointed that it took place at the Bahrain Circuit again. If anything, the amazing cosplayers carried the whole thing. (Speaking of which.. Holy the cosplays were outright ridiculous and amazing) Otherwise it woulda felt a bit too repetitive :v
Hi yall, I just got an interview for RCSI Bahrain's medical programme and i was wondering if anyone had any advice on it? What kind of questions they ask etc. I'm a Canadian student and my interview is in person. Been reading things about the interview being informal but just wanted some more information. DO they often reject students after interviews? Does anyone know how many interview offers they send out vs how many students get in?
Hey, I'm no pro player, more of an average or below average player. And I haven't played in over 6 years but I'd love to find a group to play futsal with here. I'm also looking to lose some extra Ramadan weight.
Any clubs? Groups I could connect with for casual matches?
Mala3b is not a great option for this, I've tried.
I have 2 cars one is under my conpany CR and another my name, is it possible to exchange the plates without having to buy them for the government, if so how much does it cost
I have quit my job but I have a few months left till I can leave. I am very unwell; I have been struggling to show up for a while now. I have nightmares, anxiety attacks, and trouble regulating my breath. And I am almost always in physical pain too. In the morning I think about ways I could *** to avoid going to work. How could I go about informing my employer I cannot possibly show up anymore? What kind of report do I need from a doctor to confirm I am unwell to the point where I am an able to function in my work setting? Will this harm my future chances of employment?
Thank you!
And also where to get it from
I plan on applying to RCSI Bahrain (medicine) for 2025-2026 acceptance. I was wondering if any international students (especially those who got accepted with a Bachelors in Science or equivalent from North America) could tell me about their experience in the program or give me any advice on the following: competitive acceptance GPA for those who already have a Bachelors degree, extracurricular requirements, MCAT requirements, financial aid/scholarships, housing, etc.
I would appreciate any help! Thank you!
I received an interesting job opportunity outside Bahrain. Any Bahrainis who took this move? What are your insights and do you recommend this step?
I currently have a whole factory set up in Oman that specialises in interiors, joinery, stone/tiling, gypsum ceilings, all of it
How is this industry in Bahrain?
I’m fed up of Oman as no matter what you’re money gets stuck here, there’s no value of contracts as everyone is dishonest and have no intention to pay so I’m thinking of moving out of here
I want to win a debate with my friend who just arrived to Bahrain: Would you pay 100 - 150 BD / year for a membership that gets you discounts for flights, hotels, clothing, apps or cars here in Bahrain? Say 10% or 15% discount?

And it's already booming! ❤️❤️
Visiting Bahrain for possibly the final time after being brought up there. I'm compiling a list of activities/places that I'd love to do/vist during my stay. Please help me add to this list. I'm not looking for malls or cafes or anything of that sort but just like stuff that me and a few friends can do for the raw and nostalgic fun of it. Something like night picnics to the beach or things along those lines. Thank you in advance 😁💜
Has anyone recently applied for a Schengen visa from VFS Italy portal please? I have been trying so hard to book an appointment but it keeps says no slot is available everyday, so frustrating! The website says can walk in to submit documents, is it reliable?
I am not sure if I should go out or not, as I have a long day when I reach. It would be best if there was something with which I can have fun within the airport. Do you guys have any recommendations for me? Also - broke student status!
Ex-Bahrain resident here. Saw the incredible rainfall and flooding which hit the island a couple of weeks ago. Hoping you folks could answer some questions. Were there any areas which did not flood ie. no standing water? How long did it take the water to recede? I’m most interested in industrial areas which did not flood. Lastly, since these freak weather events are going to be more frequent, is there any discussion on canals or storm drains to mitigate the water runoff? Any responses would be much appreciated. Stay safe!
Hi guys, wanted to know if there's a way to get stuff from UAE through land route? Is there such a service available by a company or a person to whom I can provide the address and they can ship it here?
Will appreciate your help

I recently became so much of a Vehicle registration plate geek and have in the recent past noticed so many unusual rare number plates vehicles in bahrain. So far have seen the following:
*Many trucks of egypt and jordan in the central market which is fairly common.
Special mention: A new UAE inspired registration plate of Aden, Yemen under the control of Southern Transitional Council in Dammam.
Anyone's found other rare number plates? Would love to hear about your finds and similar discoveries
please mod, dont delete. i tried to do my own research but the ones i found are not on my budget
i can only find in danube and manazil but they are really expensive like around 10bd for 10kg.
does anyone know a place that sells hardwood pellets? thanks
Hi everyone, one of my close friends has just been diagnosed with cerebral palsy as an adult.
He is going through a tough time right now, trying to cope with the diagnosis, rehabilitation, etc. He said he would really benefit from talking to other people in Bahrain in a similar boat, since he's never met anyone else with the condition.
If you or anyone you know also has cerebral palsy, and you'd be interested in connecting with my friend, please feel free to message me privately. Thank you!
This is not a "which uni i should go to" post, rather i have some confusions that i wish someone can clarify for me + advice.
As an expat i'm currently in 1st year in UTB, I've overheard many conversations about this uni not being worth it, or i'm wasting my time, or i'll end up jobless if i graduate from here and there are better places to go to ie UOB or abroad.
Is it true that employers prefer certain Universities over others? are my chances of being employed more if i go somewhere else other than UTB?
Any UTB graduates that can share their experience on how their postgraduate life is after graduating from here and was it worth it?
If i really am wasting my time and money, (in your opinion) what's the best step for me to take as an expat to continue my study and career without wasting any years.
