Looking for a partner in Bahrain who possesses the right mindset and unwavering determination to succeed. Just have some funds not even a lot but some funds, experience, and a burning passion for success are essential. I’ve already started but i know 2 Is better than 1. When I say 'passion', I mean a deep, unyielding drive to achieve greatness. Let's mark the world. FYI (18) Why does every single post get removed ?
I just wanted to say thank you to this tow truck driver that helped me out big time yesterday. My car broke down and I was scrambling to find the nearest tow truck company to call. Within minutes he pulled up before I could call anyone. Even with a slight language barrier he was amazing. The service was only 10bd (which I did not have on me at the time). He drove me to the dealership to drop off my car, drove me to the nearest ATM, ran across to lanes of traffic back and forth with me, and then drove me back to the dealership. I paid him 20bd because I was supposed to be heading home to take my wife to the hospital and he basically saved the day. He didn’t even want the extra 10bd, but I insisted because without him I might have paid more or became late to my wife’s doctor’s appointment. Not sure if we are allowed to post other people’s business cards here. He runs his own business, and is Bahraini. His help alone took away the stress of being stranded on the side of the road. I told him that I would do everything to get his name out there for saving the day.

Hey everyone,
I’m leaving Bahrain soon and unfortunately, I can’t take my cat with me. I want to make sure she goes to a safe place, like a shelter or a rescue that can take care of her and help her find a new home.
Does anyone know of any animal shelters, rescues, or organizations that accept cats? Any recommendations would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance!
I’m residing in Bahrain currently. Have been working as a planning engineer in Oil & Gas industry since 2016. As Bahrain doesn’t have much of an opening in Oil & Gas field I’m thinking of switching my job from a Planning Engineer(O&G) to an Engineering Consultant (Civil/Infra). Will the change be ok from a career point of view?
hi guys,
I just had a question regarding crossing the saudi boarder. I heard they placed a new rule today where we are required to have a meningococcal vaccine to travel especially those with a family or visit visa (which I have). I wanted to know if this applied at the causeway or people flying in. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

I am currently seeking options for obtaining a GAMCA medical test in Bahrain, as it is a requirement for an Omani work visa. Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate any medical centers that provide this service. As an Indian citizen, I would greatly appreciate any information or recommendations from forum members. Alternatively, I may need to fly to India to obtain a GAMCA-certified medical report and then return to Oman.

Heeeeey 👋, I was looking for restaurants (outside of malls) here in Bahrain for casual dining with friends. Preferably on the edge of fine dining or even something similar to contemporary dining that *does not serve alcohol *.
I saw a lot of restaurants that may fit into that criteria like E.g. Roka, monsoon, mei leng, ramenara, etc… but most of them serve alcohol -I didn’t know that many restaurants serve alcohol in Bahrain lol-
Hi everyone. I’m moving to Bahrain within 2 weeks for work. My job is at a decent company that’s basically in a network of other companies that comprise the largest investment base in the country. My plan is to stay there long term. I just graduated recently though with tonnes of debt (~$30k) and I’m aiming to get it refinanced as I’m charged monstrous interest at 16%.
My salary is 1100BD with unspecified bonuses. My credit score isn’t ideal, mostly empty.
For people who have experience, how possible is it to get a good deal to pay off existing loans? How would it fit my status as a newcomer and would you recommend any specific banks to reach out to?
Thanks in advance!
Looking for a place to enjoy a proper full English breakfast in Bahrain. Obviously, if pork isn't served, it's not a real full English. JJ's and Sherlock Holmes are alright I guess (overpriced and stingy portions), but I'm looking for something more like a traditional greasy spoon. American breakfast with nasty steaky bacon is not a good alternative. Any ideas?
Hear me out, in my home country there’s a lot of less fortunate children who study in a public school and we usually donate these things to them. Is
Hey Everyone,
Is anybody here a part of HOA in their respective buildings?
Im looking for a general idea about how much owners are paying annually for their building maintenance
Also does the management provide the owners as to how they managed funds during the end of the fiscal year?
I arrived a week ago in Bahrain and have been living in Seef. I go out every night looking to find something fun but all I can find are food places and shops and shopping centres. Is there nothing else here in this district?
Does anyone know where can i buy Resealable Polypropylene Bags in Bahrain? 😭 I don’t want to buy it from Amazon as it is too expensive. I’ve tried searching hotpack and kingpack but no luck. It can’t be that they dont sell these in Bahrain 🤣
I submitted my resignation via email with a "1-month notice", making my last working day "February 19, 2025". However, my employer is ignoring my resignation and scheduling me until the end of February.
They only contact me through the company's mobile and haven’t given me any written confirmation. I also know they already have issues with LMRA for unrelated reasons.
My questions are:
I’d appreciate any advice from those familiar with labor laws in Bahrain. Thanks!
Hello everyone. Just wanna ask if how much would it cost for the penalties if the car wasn’t registered for like 3-4 years? Does passing have penalties as well?
Hello are electric bikes a big thing over in Bahrain, I will be coming over as an expat and curious if it’s worth buying and having sent over or if it’s a big thing and there are plenty of bike shops(electric). In the U.S. they have become very popular. I will be staying in Manama I think and if so will be Juffair area. I will have a vehicle as my mode of transportation but would an electric bike be practical to scoot about the city and other areas?
Looking at coming towards the end of 2025
Hey everyone,
Are there any online groups—WhatsApp, Discord, or any other platform—where people in Bahrain discuss coffee, share recommendations, or even organize meetups?
I’d be especially interested in hearing people’s experiences with different local roasters and their recommendations. Also, if anyone knows of cupping events happening locally, I’d be interested in joining one!
Let me know if a group like this exists or if there’s interest in starting one.
Thanks!
People who lived in Bahrain and studied abroad how was your experience and did you stay or leave after graduating and which do you prefer to live in over all
Traffic backed up on both sides
I think harsher penalties and enforcement for littering could really improve the vibe on the island.
Either that or an Autobahn situation on some highways to scare slow drivers off the left lane.
Have you been before? Is the way back to Saudi going to be extremely crowded because of it? do you recommend?
