Wait I just got ready to leave for school and then I checked my phone and it’s a holiday but then I see some buses leave taking kids ???
I am a tea lover, what happened to these brands, ever since packed in Qatar since 2020, it tastes awful. (Talking about loose variants) Tastes like medicine. Prior, it was packed in UAE/Saudi.
Has any one noticed? Which tea do you recommend now? Kindly share your favourites.
I love rain 😩♥️
Any idea about this? When is it implemented? Can’t find any information anywhere. Really wanted to go and see the pyramids 😊
Self explanatory.
Hi everyone! I'll be visiting Doha in the coming days, my first visit since 2018.
I'd love to hear your recommendations for great places to eat or grab coffee. I'm open to all cuisines – from meaty delights to Asian and European dishes.
Please share your favorites, whether they're restaurants or cozy coffee spots. I've already checked out Google and TripAdvisor but I value the opinions of locals even more. Thanks in advance :)!
Hi
My friend recently moved to Qatar and he can’t bring in his dog. He’s been trying for a few months now and the recent reason for denial is that the dog shelters are full and he needs to ship out 5 dogs from the pounds to be able to bring in his dog. How does this make sense.
Does anyone have a solution.
my father grew up in a region where fig birds were an abundance and they’d often enjoy them bbq’d. he’s been getting videos of fried and bbq’d fig birds and he’s craving them greatly.
i searched lightly and it was futile :/ i’m wondering if there are any restaurants that prepare them or supermarkets that provide them raw.
i’m really looking to surprise him, he probably hasn’t had them in over 30 years.
thank you :)
Hi, was wondering if digital bank statements from the mobile app (with sign and stamp) are accepted for Schengen visa application? Applying for entry in Germany. Thanks a lot!
Hey, if there is anyone here who dropped out of qf unis due to some personal matters and now couldn't repay the loan. Kindly drop me a messege, needed some info 😅.
Hello,
I am a Canadian resident applying for tourist visa for Qatar. Basically I just want to stay there for 12-15 hours during my transit and do not want to opt for accomodation as I plan to spend that time roaming and visiting places. Applying for the visa via Hayya portal, it is mandatory to put in/ fill in the accomodation section - any suggestions what to do here?
So recently I have been ordering a lot of coffees in the morning, but where is a good place that does a deal of a coffee and a croissant/pastry? Around the 30 QAR mark preferably.
I'm asking because the validation process might be different here than in the US, every Reddit post so far said that the account will log out if you open it on another device, or worse it just gets banned.
I can't afford it, 20$ a month is crazy, but if I can split it with family members then it might be doable.
I would like to send some money to someone in Cairo. Their banks account is in EGP.
I tried QNB / CB / wise / PayPal no success.
Ideally I would like be to find someone here in Doha I could send qar (or face to face cash) and they would transfer money to either the EGP bank account or Vodafone cash (Egypt).
Amount : 900 qar / month (split in 2 ?).
If I need to justify the “why” of my request. They are a Gaza refugee in Cairo (escape just before October). They give me daily short arabic classes for me to learn.
Anyone ?
I heard claims rejection nightmares...so which is the best company and least rejection in Qatar especially health insurance.
Hey guys,
Lately I have been getting messages of uber ride charge twice in different days. For example today I got the second message of a ride I made on Sunday and my account was creditied twice. Anyone experiencing this ? And does uber have any center here in Qatar ?
Okay , so I am still a high school student , but I do worry about future applications here in Qatar (was born here). It's not like I am hiding top secret crimes on the web , but it's an uncomfortable feeling that i could be denied a job or university for example , just because something i did not know there is something unprofessional about how I present myself. I never use my real name in anything usually , and I'd appreciate an answer , thanks!
Any affordable/cheap coffee shop ? 😃
What is wrong with people?
So guys, I’m not sure what benefits I have as a resident. I needed to get a visa before entering into Qatar and now I have a residency permit, cause I’m a student here. I need visa for all GCC countries with my passport. But my friend saying that how I have residency here, I don’t need visa to go to Dubai or Rayyan. Don’t know if it’s true.
I need to get my master’s degree and transcript attested in the US. Does anyone know where I can get this done as fast as possible for a reasonable price and how long it will take?
Asked for 2gigabit, average speed was 400megabit, multiple engineer visits later I cancelled within the trial period because downgrading would cost me qr1500.
Guess I'll go with Ooredoo, it's terrible that ISP is a monopoly here.
What a joke.
Hey guys, anybody who applied for Schengen (France) recently, did they check regarding QID validity of 6 months? Is it a requirement? the website doesn’t say anything and I’m confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
My wife received a job offer amounting to 35K QAR monthly. I would like to ask, if she accepted the offer, will she be able to sponsor me there?
We are both from Philippines. I will quit my work here and will apply in Qatar locally, if possible.
EDIT: Job offer is for the role of assistant VP in Finance . Location is DOHA, Qatar.
So I know that receiving random fake SMS's purporting to be from businesses/organisations in Qatar - such as Qatar Airways, Lulu, Hamad General Hospital, etc. - is fairly common.
Here's where it gets interesting though - a bit over a month ago I had an actual package arrive through QPost (replacement for lost ATM card). Before I could get round to collecting it - so maybe within a couple of days of its arrival - I received an SMS claiming to be from QPost saying they needed my address or something. I didn't immediately notice the number was fake (some foreign number, maybe VOIP?), clicked on the link in the SMS and was taken to a weird url (definitely not qatarpost.qa) that along with my address was requesting a payment of a small amount (maybe a few riyals). Of course I didn't follow through with it, just clicked on the "Report spam" button from the SMS app (don't know if that actually does anything though). I was able to collect my package as normal from the General Post Office near Corniche.
Now, a couple of weeks ago I had placed an order, and within a couple of days of its arrival I again received a similar message with a link (screenshot attached). The link is now dead, but I'd taken a screenshot of that too.
This has really gotten me wondering whether there might be individuals associated with the real QPost involved in some kind of racket. Anyone have a similar experience?
Hello everyone.
I was admitted to both HBKU and the AUB in Lebanon. Cost: I got scholarships, so cost doesn't matter. I'm not really sure which one to go with, as the AUB is higher in ranking. But HBKU is in Qatar, which might mean better internship and job opportunities.
My major is computer engineering in both.
Which one do you think has the edge?
