Hi, I live in the UK and I've just started working as an electrical engineer for the railway there (I have an engineering degree from a UK university). I'm looking to move to Oman in the next few years once I get more experience.
Does anyone know where to look for engineering jobs in Oman, or how much I could be expected to earn? I've read that it's not worth it as a graduate but what about after a few years? Also, does anyone know what it's like to work for Etihad rail and if the pay/perks are any good?
Does anyone know any international high school for expats, which is also affordable (as I saw super high prices), considering I am from Ukraine and wish to bring my daughter here?
Hey guys does anyone know where I can get a gavel (judges’ hammer) even if it’s a prop. Thanks
What app is needed in Oman? Whats missing?
Tried to book a cab to the airport using Otaxi. All the drivers assigned would call up and say they want 7-15 rials when the app shows 3 rials. Such a sham of an app.

Hello all, I am looking for advice on whether it is acceptable for a (female) non Muslim to visit mosques - other than the Sultan Qaboos mosque in Muscat, which Ive already visited twice.
I do know how to dress etc and have visited many mosques in Egypt as I love Islamic architecture. But I get the impression this is much less accepted in Oman, especially as some (older/smaller) mosques don't even have a women's space.
Are there any particular mosques which would be definitely allowed or forbidden?
I am particularly interested in the ancient mosques, also in Sayyida Fatima mosque and Bab Al Salam Mosque in Seeb; Al Zulfa mosque; and Al Rasool Al A’dham Mosque and Talib bin Mohammed Mosque in Muttrah Souq
I would also like to know, if going inside is not permitted, then am I likely to cause any offence by walking around the outside of the building (but within the grounds) taking photos?
I know opinions may vary, but really would appreciate any advice.
