I'm an +40yr old IT professional with over 24 years experience in the industry and also have a young family (1 child). My wife's a doctor and we both work here in the UK. However due to current political and economic situation here and in the west in general we want to make hijra to Oman.

Can anyone give me some guidance on the types of jobs available in Oman? I would prefer to stick to my profession if possible. Also, where are the cheapest places to look for a family home? What are the price ranges of 2 and 3 bedroom homes (villas and town houses) what is the minimum to spend to get a residence visa?
