I need to transfer credits from UVic if I want to take some of the courses in Camosun(paid on mycamosun on 11/25).
I also have a BC student loan (the only fund for the next semester), it is my first time applying so it's frustrating to see "confirmation of Enrollment and funding disbursement" not complete.
Good day everyone! I am planning to study practical nursing at Camosun as an international student in fall 2026. I am a mature student and was wondering if the practical nursing program admissions competitive? Also, do I need to take pre-requisites before applying to the program? Thank you! I'll appreciate the replies :))
Hey everyone. I’ve just come from high school so I’m still trying to adjust to things. But I’m just wondering if dropping and withdrawing is the same thing?
I dropped one of my courses from the mycamosun website via plan & register but do I also still need to do the withdrawing application to get the W mark on my grade?
Hi! I’m taking Chem 070 with Silvija Shewaga online this semester and I bought a lab manual even tho my lab section is online 🤦 was wondering if I should sell it or something, or if anyone needs one, any advice?

Im a compsci student here and looking for a room next year
Does anyone know if programs at Camosun can provide a pathway to Law? Most law schools in Canada required a minimum of three years of post secondary studies. Are there programs at Camosun where the courses taken will meet this requirement, or do they need to be university accredited post secondary courses.
The program I am most interested in is Camosun's Bachelor of Sports Management. However, it is an "applied" degree, so I'm unsure if it would meet the requirements of most law schools.
Hello, Im planning to attend Camosun next school year. I played volleyball and Im thinking to join the varsity team; although, I have not played in a club or competitively since HS 2020(I was in U18 Mariners but all leagues and tournaments got shut down) so no scouting/recruitment happened lol. I was wondering if Camosun does a tryouts at the beginning of the school year. If so, do they post it on their socials/website or how will I get information when/where they will do it? For reference: Im 22(not sure if there is age restriction) libero Hoping someone from the Men’s volleyball team or other athletes would be here to answer. TIA!
I’m currently working on finishing most of the first year prerequisites online and am wondering if there is generally a long waitlist for getting into the dental hygiene program? I noticed instead of applying they ask you to join an interest list. Can I join this list before finishing the prerequisites? How long does it usually take to get into the program?
It's life or death.
I'm currently taking Stats 218 with Bree Wilton and was wondering if anyone who has taken her class could give advice about the final exam. Should I focus mainly on studying her previous tests, or is there a better way to review for the final? Any tips would be helpful!
Hello, I'm a high school grad student currently looking for schools in Vancouver to pursue education in Dental Hygiene is. Would you guys recommend Camosun for any reason, or specifically NOT recommend it for any reason? Thanks!
Hey guys! If any of you guys have taken the medical laboratory assistant program do you have any tips of how to get ahead before the first day of class? Anything I could look into for anatomy and physiology side of it to get a headache start? Also how did you find the clinical chemistry and math aspects of it was it difficult or basic? Thanks so much !!
Looking for a tutor for some ECET 1xx classes. Thx 😇
To the guy who stole my black hoodie from the Lansdowne gym mens washroom, your days are numbered. Run. Hide. cuz if I find you, oh boy, I will civilly ask you why you did it.
Anyone else who applied to Camosun college sonography program for 2025? I applied and I’m curious of how many people apply for each cycle, and to create a platform for DMS.
Left my headphones on the bench outside of ewing building today. This fool is sad. If you see or hear of any black sony over the ear headphones being scooped, let me knooooow. Thanks friends
(Same as in image but black)
I'm not sure if my post will get flagged for this but I'm hoping to get my money back as I bought this textbook out of haste and as it turns out I don't need the physical copy, I just needed the MindTap access. I wasn't aware you could just buy the access seperately. The bookstore won't take it back as it was in plastic wrap. Now I feel like I wasted my money and I'm a little tight on money at the moment, so I'm hoping to get some of it back. If anyone wants just the physical textbook lmk and we can work out a price.

I’m technically canadian but haven’t lived there for over 10 years, so I feel a bit like a foreigner. I recently enrolled in the transfer program during my withdrawal period for university however I’m having my doubts as to whether it’s a good idea due to not having a car, social circle, or knowledge of the area. I’ve missed the first week of classes already due to being indecisive about the move. Would it be difficult to study here as a foreigner? I heard it may be hard forming connections and getting around especially without a car. I’ve never visited victoria before so I have no clue what it’s like. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
I got a request to withdraw from Uvic due to a low GPA and now I would like to spend one withdrawal period at Camosun, I did not get notified till yesterday morning, so I am in a hurry if I want to start the class in September.
where can I pay the deposit? it's already behind the due date, I'm afraid it will take too long before the last tuition pay date.

We will be having a tree planting event on September 28, would love to see you there!
I’m just wondering because I’m taking math classes. Depending on which prof I take, I might have 3 midterms in some classes. Do they normally send them out this week, or do we not get them until next Tuesday?
Heyo, i have adhd but have never gotten the pysco-educational evaluation done so i cant apply for cal or claim it on my student loans. So I'm curious if it is worth it to get done at this point? Will it pay for itself over my college/uni career? I'm also very much inclined to use the resources like cal and whatnot for extra time on test as I struggle with the current time limits for most tests. Currently it's about $3500-4000 to get one done.
I logged into mycamosun, went to Student Planning>My Program>Load Sample Course Plan>(Selected my enrolled program and the term(2024 fall))>Load. After the plan was generated, I want to make edits of the schedule but 1. Not all courses have a drop button 2. All spotted drop bottoms are grey don't work. I need help on this because I don't want to study chemistry or anatomy :(
Hi everyone,
This is my first post here, and I have a question about student aid that I find confusing. I'm from Manitoba and moved to BC in January, completing my first semester at Camosun. I'll be starting the 2nd semester of the Engineering Bridge Program in September. I had to apply through Manitoba Student Aid because I was told I can't apply for BC Student Aid until I've lived in BC for at least a year.
Last semester, I didn't receive any grants. Manitoba Student Aid explained that since my courses run from January 2024 to April 2024 and then from September 2024 to December 2024, I'm considered a part-time student because my school's fiscal year runs from September to April. It seems strange to me.
I might be able to apply for a BC loan starting in January, but I'm unsure if I have enough information to submit to BC Student Aid right now, especially since I'm just applying for UVic at the moment. I'm also curious if I won't be eligible for any grants until September 2025, as Manitoba Student Aid suggested.
I know this is an unusual situation, but has anyone else been in a similar situation—applying for a BC loan this coming January for UVic as a non-BC resident Bridge student with a non-standard program schedule? I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.
I'd love to hear about your experience.
Hi, I've a philosophy course this September PHIL 110, and I don't know what to expect from this course , what are the topics, how does the seminar works.
Thank you.
The upper parking lot at interurban is now seemingly majority staff parking only, does anyone know the reasoning for this? I get that staff need parking but did we students get shafted in the process? Did they move all the staff parking to the same parking lot or create more student parking to compensate? The number of drivers coming to the school is not going to diminish anytime soon
I’m going to be going to classes 4 days a week, with only one starting @ 8:30am. I’m wondering how chaotic parking will be - most days starting at 10:30.
Additionally. I’ll be driving out from Sooke, does anyone have an idea of how long it would take to crawl through traffic at that 8:30 class start? At least it’ll be a breeze on the later start days.
TIA
