If you took it - what was it like?
If there's any suspicion of a crime happening around VCU or nearby, it’s critical to contact 911 immediately for assistance. And for any non-emergency situations, you can also reach out to VCU Police at their non-emergency number, (804) 828-1196.
If you are a victim of a Sexual Assault or know someone of an Sexual Assault there is a number of resources that can help.
PER: https://police.vcu.edu/sexual_violence/victim_witness_program.html
VCU offers care and support and encourages people to seek help as soon as possible; also, as time passes, important evidence may be lost. The VCU community can contact the VCU Police Department (which offers the You Have Options program), VCU Health System Forensic Nurse Services (through the Emergency Department), and for students, Student Health Services and University Counseling Services. Equity and Access Services serves as the Title IX office for VCU and coordinates the university's response to reports. Students can explore, in a confidential setting, available options based on individual circumstances, by contacting advocates located in University Counseling Services at MyOptions@vcu.edu.
If you are a victim or witness to a crime, VCU Police officers are here to help take care of your needs, including assistance with securing counseling, medical or academic help.
Each of the VCU Police Department’s patrol shifts have officers who have received specialized training in responding to victims involved in traumatic events.
The VCU Police Department uses the You Have Options reporting program for crimes that are sexual in nature. To read more about You Have Options Program (YHOP) or to file a report with VCU Police Department, please click the following link: VCU Police You Have Options Program. Note that clicking this link does NOT automatically file a report with the police department; you will have the option to do so on the redirected page. Please be advised that reports made online could take up to 72 hours for a law enforcement response. If you are in an emergency situation, or need medical or other resources immediately, please call the VCU Police emergency line 24/7 at (804) 828-1234.
If a victim calls the VCUPD at (804) 828-1234 they can request to speak or meet with one of the victim/witness specialists. There are victim/witness specialists assigned to every patrol shift.
Victim/Witness Acting Coordinator: Ofc. Cierra Eldridge
Ofc. Eldridge can be reached during business hours at (804) 828-9748 or via email at eldridgeci@vcu.edu. Ofc. Eldridge's office is located at 224 East Broad Street, which is accessible by use of the GRTC Pulse.
VCU Police takes all reports of sexual assault seriously. The department does not encourage anyone to send information about alleged sexual assaults to anonymous online accounts or platforms that are unaffiliated with VCU, a university or a law enforcement agency. Doing so can put those who post, and those accused, at risk for online harassment and potential harm.
Within 5 days: To request a medical exam following a sexual assault, contact VCU Medical Center's forensic nurse examiners, 1250 E. Marshall St., (804) 628-0623.
After 5 days: For follow-up medical services contact University Student Health Services
If you are unsure of which option to choose, go to VCU Medical Center. You can also visit other hospitals in the greater Richmond area.
Forensic nursing services are also available at the Bon Secours facilities below. To reach forensic nurses at these hospitals call: (804) 281-8184 (Emergency Room) or Non-Emergency / Office (804) 281-8574.

Title says it all. I’m a 30 year old disabled veteran who wants to get back into shape and I’m looking for a buddy so we can hold each other accountable! Cary street gym or golds gym, doesn’t matter to me, just looking for someone who’s serious about getting fit!
Hey y’all, I’m a senior graduating in December and I’m going to be moving back home, since the move is long I’m looking for people who may be interested in some free items. I have a Keurig(I only used it once🥲) air fryer and some kitchen wares, I’m moving out on the 25th of November so if anyone is interested please let me know.
My current uni has a partnership with VCU, which allows me to join VCU and study there for 2 years. I’ve been wondering if the MBA is worth it? How’s the study quality? how’s the social life there? And i also wanna know if it’s safe to go out at night? And how much would the living expenses for me as an international student (dorms, food, insurance…) excluding the tuition fees Thank you
Hey all,
When do decisions for honors guaranteed admissions (not medicine) normally come out? I looked through older posts and found that most receive decisions a couple days later, and some receive decisions like several months later.
idk why but recently I haven’t been able to turn my ac lower than 68°, earlier this semester I was able to put it at 64° and recently it just won’t let me anymore, and I hate falling asleep warm
How is the major? classes? internships and stuff? should I do into med with it or go into the computational field? They accepted me like 2 days after I submitted my app and I feel like that's a bad sign I don't really know. Throw as much info as yall can here. Thank you!
High School Senior by the way.
I've been getting emails about the Global Career Accelerator for months now, but I'm iffy about it. For background, I want to go into data analytics, but my classes haven't given me any insight or opportunities to learn the skills I need to take up this field and take up projects. I get emails about the Global Career Accelerator program every other month and I have looked into it, but it sounds too good to be true. Is there anyone who has participated in the program and felt that it was worth their time and money? Please give honest reviews, I'm struggling here :(
PLEASEEEE tell me that yall are still dressing up and popping out around the city in your costumes tonight
Not a VCU student but I'm 22M and just moved to Richmond by myself , looking to find a bar or somewhere to hang out and meet some people. Yeah I'm looking for some guy friends , but also trynna find a good bar or place to go to meet some lady friends being new to town and all. Figured where better place to find the local spots in richmond than a college thread. I live on the Southside (forest hills area) but open to going into the vcu area for a night out!
many questions in one here
HI I have applied to VCU for Fall 2025. I don't have anyone around me who can help iwth filling out applications/any college counselor, so I did everything myself. because of that I feel like I did it wrong/didn't fill things out adequately. if I did, will it significantly impact my chances of getting in
2nd topic, I was planning on doing the summer studies program, how much does it cost? I only see pricing for housing but not the classes itself
For context, I applied yesterday and already got the acceptance. Im happy of course, but Im confused about any aid or scholarship money. If my acceptance letter didn’t say anything about some sort of grant or scholarship, does that mean I didn’t get any at all?? Im an out-of-state student so idk if that affects my chances.
It would be super helpful if anyone shares how they found out they got financial aid other than FAFSA.
How long does it take to go from Traini to Stem Bldg? Can it be done in 10 minutes?
Hey I have clothes and dtf transfers my original connection fell through. If anyone wouldn’t mind making $15 and letting me stop by to heat press them that would be huge
Reach out to me on instagram Stanleydalziel

Hello! I’m a freshman at VCU who is interested in majoring in nursing. For one of my classes I need to interview a junior or senior that is a nurse major. We can do the interview via zoom if that works best. Let me know if you’re willing to help!
Need some advice, I have to take Scma 320, and as for now I want to take Brett Massimino, but unfortunately looks like 24 honor students already have registered and my registration is on Wednesday. The other professors are Jeffrey Smith and Jeff Shockley, out of those two, which one is better?
So I was in class and I over heard someone talking about a rapist on their floor at GRC. Another person said that they were their roommate. I’m unsure if this is a rumor or not.
Does anyone have Robert Tombes for the honors cell bio class? How is it?
