How Can We Enhance Task Management and Motivation for Large Teams?

As a management team, how do you organize employees’ tasks and monitor their progress, especially with large teams and an increased workload? Do you have an established electronic system that helps with task distribution and tracking, and if so, what is it called? I tried using Excel sheets, but they weren’t practical enough for organizing and monitoring this volume of tasks.

I’d also like to know about the strategies you use to motivate employees, boost productivity, and break the daily routine to create an inspiring work environment that enhances performance and fosters positive team interaction.

Going from Abu Dhabi to Dubai

Hello everyone, I need help I want to go from Zayed international airport (AUH, Abu Dhabi) to Dubai I see options for E102 bus.

When searching in web I found that it goes from Mussafah Shabiya Bus Station to Al Jafiliya Bus Station 1 and it has a stop in the airport. I can’t find anything about their payment methods some videos say buy a ticket from somewhere I don’t even know where it is. Is nol card accepted and are there any nol card vending machines in AUH. Does the bus stop at the Al Jafiliya Bus Station and can I exit there.

Thanks

planning to leave Philippines to work as an accountant in Dubai, UAE

Hello, I'm a 23-year-old Filipina. I was offered a job through a Philippine agency as an accountant in the UAE. I'm still unsure about their offer, but my current salary is ₱40,000 (2,500 AED).

I want to ask what an acceptable salary would be if I accept their offer for the job in Dubai. I'm not sure if they will provide free accommodation, so I’d like to know the acceptable salary for an accountant position with and without accommodation. Thank you!

TikTok Search

Have you noticed TikTok Search recently?

As usual, I scrolled on TikTok and found an interesting video I wanted to watch more of that interesting video so I clicked the blue comment on the video and found pornography videos that have nothing about the video I just watched.

The pornography videos were never deleted it’s been 2 days and the views are up to 1.5mill I always keep reporting but nothing happens and it says that they are not violating TikTok policy!

Did I Mess Up by Applying for a Jobseeker Visa?

I am from Canada, on a Canadian passport, and thus eligible for 90 days Visa on Arrival in the UAE. (I'm in Canada right now.)

The original reason to visit is because I want to experience the UAE firsthand, to determine if I want to try to get a job there. I've been approached several times by recruiters who are trying to fill some highly paid positions, but I first want to visit to see what the UAE is really like.

Because of this, I tried to apply for the Jobseeker 60 day visa, since I am trying to determine if I want to apply for jobs. (Actually job search would be later, NOT on this trip.) In hindsight, it was probably an unnecessary visa application.

The visa was of course REJECTED for some reason. I opened a ticket with Smart Services to ask what happened, and they were of no help.

Questions:

  1. I already have a flight booked and such, and will do Visa on Arrival. I plan to be open & honest with customs, in saying I am just looking around now, but may apply for jobs next year. Does this make sense?
  2. Will having the rejected Visa cause problems for me?

I will bring proof of my onward flight, etc.

Wife is thinking of moving to UAE, I have reservations

I’m an American my wife is a foreign spouse (both recently married). I feel that sometimes she has thoughts of moving abroad since she has lived outside the U.S. most times. I want an honest feedback what is life really like in UAE, we are both Muslim, but in the long run is it better to raise our kids and both build our life in UAE or stay in the states. My reasons for not moving to UAE is

  1. Building our life (the dream 💭 kids building a home) etc.

  2. Work - both are able to find employment

  3. Opportunities to grow

  4. Work sponsorship … dealing with a sponsor, it’s not the country that’s taking care of us it’s the company

  5. Paying for outside health insurance

  6. Extra pocket expenses

  7. At some point return back home to the states.. I don’t thinking living overseas in the UAE is a thing unless you really invest in it large sums of money

  8. Retirement … is that even a thing if you live in UAE and it a citizen..

Looking for honest feedback, I’m sure safety and upbringing kids it is a good space but… really give us the real “things we are up against pros and cons let us know

Sold My Car, Not Received Money - UAE

Hi guys, recently sold my car in Dubai, the buyer took out a loan to pay me. Had to transfer the car in his name for his bank to disperse the loan. It has been 15 days and I have not received the amount in my account. To make matters worse, I am out of the country. Any advice on this would be helpful.

Got scammed :(

So, I live in Dubai for 3 yrs. Doing family business, also doing some stuff for my Father when he’s away. My father texted me, that he had a sms from aramex, saying that he need to reappoint delivery of his bank card ( he was really waiting for his card being delivered) He asked me to deal with that, and sent me that sms. That was the first time I didn’t check the link, cause I had no doubt in my father. So I’ve payed 1 AED, then I had a email, that my card was attached to some new Apple Pay which I didn’t notice. By the end of the day, I’ve received an sms, that 28k AED from my account are gone, I’ve blocked my card still trying to get my money back.

And later, a week ago, when I got my new card, it happened again. Now 10k AED. And the bank, is trying to accuse me. But the thing is, my new card got attached to everybody’s Apple Pay, who had my previous one🙂

Idk what to do. Police says that they need a bank statement with transactions that was made by scammer, but in the bank, they say that it takes sometimes 15 days, for the transaction to be shown in statement. That makes me nervous cause my money will be gone at that time.

Struggling to Open a Business Bank Account in Dubai? Here’s How High-Risk Businesses Can Succeed

Opening a business bank account in Dubai can be challenging, especially for individuals from high-risk countries or businesses involved in high-risk activities like cryptocurrency, gaming, or offshore industries. I’ve been in this space for a while, and I’ve seen many people struggle with this process.

That said, there are ways to overcome these challenges, and I’d like to share some tips based on what I’ve learned:

  1. Understanding Bank Requirements: Different banks in Dubai have varying policies for high-risk nationalities and businesses. It helps to research and target banks that are more flexible with their onboarding criteria.

  2. Proper Documentation: Having all the right documents, including detailed business plans and financial records, can make the process smoother. In my experience, this often makes or breaks applications.

  3. Seek Expert Assistance: If the process feels overwhelming, consider seeking help from professionals who specialize in this area. They often have relationships with banks and know how to present your case for the best chances of success.

If you’re facing challenges with this process and need more personalized guidance, feel free to reach out. I’ve helped many businesses and individuals from high-risk backgrounds open business bank accounts in Dubai, and I’m happy to offer advice or point you in the right direction.

You can message me here or reach me on WhatsApp: +971568131804 for a quicker chat if you need specific assistance.

I hope this helps! If anyone has their own experiences or additional tips, feel free to share them.

Civil marriage in UAE: is divorce a difficult process?

I got married in Abu Dhabi and considering divorce soon.

Neither of us have assets nor have children with each other. If you have a difficult spouse who will give you a hard time, is the process tougher?

I don’t want anything from him. I’m U.S citizen and he’s an Afghan citizen who previously lived in UAE. Can I file and leave or do I have to stay until the process is done?

Thank you!

CCSD ( Call Centre Solution Dubai ) Scam Company, how to get back my money ?

I was searching for a calling solution like 3CX in dubai. On Google I found this company called CCSD I.e Call Center solution Dubai. I put a sales enquiry on their website and the guy named Ahmed got in touch with me. He explained me the solution and even gave me access to demo portal to try out. I wanted to buy the solution but I was hesitant as I never met anyone in the company. This guy Ahmed kept avoiding face to face meeting always saying I’m in meeting, family problem, out of my hands etc. Then the day to start my business came close by so I was in hurry. This guy gave me good discount on the official quotation on condition that this deal to be closed in same week. This guy keep making excuses through the week and then Friday came. I was supposed to start my operations from Tuesday/Wednesday upcoming week so I had no time to waste and made payment. He gave me commitment that the required devices will be delivered on Saturday and installed on Monday. After making payment the delivery didn’t come and Ahmed stopped answering calls. After calling him back to back from Saturday to Tuesday he reply on WhatsApp that delay is from supplier. So I checked :1) Fake profile of CEO Adam Shane on LinkedIn who never reply to email 2) on website and Google only one mobile number that of Ahmed. No company landline provided 3) support link on their website takes to WhatsApp number of same guy ie Ahmed 4) visited the address mentioned on Google. I.e Al shatha tower. There is no business with name CCSD in building.

Almost a month now I got no appliances, no msg, call or email reply from Ahmed or any of their team member copied in email. I have made advance payment of 2000 AED. I come from poor family and trying to do build something for my kids future from my savings. And then this fraud happens. Taking action will need more money. How can I get my money back without investing too much for court case etc. Most importantly what action can be taken on scammers so that they won’t Scam innocent people like me in UAE in future.

Usually Thursday in Dubai

Let me start by asking - How fake and double-faced can people be?

Just an incident I observed at my workplace.

So, the story begins with a guy joining our team 4 months ago as a category manager, taking over a category previously handled by a girl (north Indian to be specific) for 3 years. She didn’t like that something she was handling was given to someone else.

Lil background on the lazy ass, she comes to the office only when the boss is around and takes leave otherwise, saying she’s on duty or attending matters related to company. In 8 hours, she barely completes one PPT and ends the day saying loudly “Oh god, How much work was there for me today” making sure everyone hears her.

Now, the guy joins. He seems genuine, knows his stuff, but isn’t familiar with our processes. With n a week, she asks him to sit beside her, gives no knowledge transfer and embarrasses him during meetings with the boss by filling in the gaps and showcasing that she’s handling everything.

She snitches on him to various managers and tells vendors not to respond to his requests, making sure he knows nothing. Eventually, management tells him that his performance is not up to the mark and will terminate him within this week.

He says that all his doubts and questions that he asked her were the same things the boss asked him saying you didn’t even know these little things.

That guy seemed so worried for past 3 days and with no clue to what to do next as he got a small son and family back in his country dependent on him. Sometimes he seemed like he will break out and start crying.

Next week might be the last week for this guy.

Today, she calls him separately and says i know it must be hard for you, i know you you got family and offers to help him find another job, pretending to be sympathetic.

He said smiling at her how could someone be this cheap and two-faced!

What's wrong with r/Emiratis

I got banned for asking a question about daily health routine for teeth whitening and asking for a recommendation for the best toothpaste that really works 😂

it's a subreddit for discussing daily life topics but it seems that the admin is a softy.

and if you think my question is trivial just take a look on the kind of question they discuss over there, things like " what would you do if you had 10M aed and lost then over a day?" Real teenagers' conversation openers level questions

Such rude behaviors really leaves bad influence on a person as an expat

Is there a service where you pay someone to get you a job?

Serious replies only please. I'm tired of applying online and getting the same old automated response. I'm tired of tailoring my CV and cover letter for keywords. I'm tired of constant rejection 😩

Bruh, why is it so hard to get a job here. I'm a 28 year old mechanical engineer with 4 years of GCC experience. I'm open to any job position related to engineering, design, sales, customer service, team management, or something involving creativity.

I'm broke and tired of being dependent on my parents. I've tried consultancies, connecting with people on LinkedIn only to be ghosted by them, cold approaching offices etc.

I just want someone to help me get a job with a decent pay.
