Adidas and Nike are my go to choices but they are short, I’m at 36” leg
I usually wear shorts in the gym but recently it’s been chilly in the uk so I thought I’d wear trackies but they are like 3/4’s after every exercise
I’m 5’10 and 5’8-5’11 is my sweet spot. Just wondering if there are any other tall girls who prefer average height guys. I see a lot of posts on here praising tall men and I don’t know I never really saw the hype or appeal. Tall men tend to be on the skinnier side and I like my men with some meat on their bones. I also would prefer someone to balance out my genes. Anyways just wondering if anyone else feels the same or if I’m the only tall girl in the whole world who feels this way. Thoughts?
Does anyone else find it weird?
Its not something I've ever thought about doing so I can't imagine the reasoning behind it, so maybe someone can enlighten me? What do you gain from showing strangers your height difference, wouldn't you rather want comments from your friends?
Does anyone else feel a lot of pressure in there knees when driving? I’ve driven so much lately that it hurts to put my weight on my knee. There’s less pressure if I move the seat back but then I can barely reach the steering wheel, any help would be greatly appreciated
I’ve never had any issues about my height, like ever. No one has ever seemed to make a big deal out of it. Maybe once or twice I’ve had a first date make a weird comment cause I wore heels and they felt emasculated, I just never saw them again. I figured it was their loss for being so insecure lol. Most guys tell me they love it when I wear heels and it makes them feel powerful being seen as my man. I’ve never had a man treat me as anything less than a lady. Height is almost never even discussed, I forget that I’m tall until someone mentions it. I’m posting this cause I’ve seen posts about women who said guys are aggressive with them and other things…I feel so bad for them. I really can’t relate, but I don’t doubt they are experiencing it. Don’t let a few pricks ruin it for you, there are sooo many ppl out there who die for tall women and only want tall women. One of my best friends prefers their women 6’2 and up and considers me short and unattractive at my height. Lol
Edit: I’ve only been dating since I was 27, and my long term relationships always end up being with Jewish Russian men. They seem to really love their women tall lol. It seems the ultra wealthy Russian types love us tall gals exclusively lol.
I sometimes thinking am the only tall person in the world. Does anyone else here feel like this? Like I'm always so much taller than everyone else, but it cannot be just me is it?
It's way more common for tall people to have long legs, but I actually have a longer torso than legs, which makes it almost impossible to sit in a car (head hits the roof), it also makes it almost impossible to get t-shirts that fit properly (I'm forced to buy buy 2 or 3 XXL for them to be long enough), even though a L would fit me perfectly width wise.
I'm 2 meters (6'7) btw. I wonder if anyone has the same problems :P
My calves, my shins it hurts bro. I actually might pass out.
Like when you stand up, your knees pop your back cracks and your arms start sounding like thunder 😂. 6’1 at 16 is not for the weak
I've heard this a lot from short women - they want tall men so that "our kids will be tall". But is that really how it works? If the father is tall but the mother is short, wouldn't there be an equal chance that their kid would end up with their mom's short genes? And to take it a step further, if you're a tall guy and want tall kids, isn't it better to only go for tall women? And yet I see a lot of tall guys going for short women and insisting that "our kids will still be tall because the tall gene is more dominant". Personally I don't really consider the potential height of our kids when choosing a woman to date. But I'm usually more attracted to taller women because their proportions just look hotter to me, and there's more surface area for me to love lol. But I guess having taller kids would be a plus too if it really works that way.
tldr: What are the chances of the offspring being tall if one of the parents is tall? And how much do the odds improve if both parents are tall?
Even though I'm 6'4, my cousin is 6'7, my great-great grandfather was 6'9 but most of the men in my family cap off at 6'3.
What about yall?
Whenever I check on the official website L-T and XL-T are sold out for the styles I want. ASOS also has a selection but are always sold out. I was thinking of buying from the official Netherlands/Dutch website as they on average have the tallest men in Europe but they don't even do tall sizes just regular.
For reference these are the items I am referring to:

I recently visited Japan, and while I was usually the tallest person in the room wherever I went (I'm 6'2), I also have to say that Japanese people aren't THAT short. I feel like on this subreddit we like to think that people in Japan are comically short, but the reality is that most of the Japanese people I saw were perfectly average and it's not like I absolutely dwarfed them in height or anything. I've heard that Japanese people are a lot shorter than in other Asian countries, but I didn't notice much of a difference tbh (I'm Asian myself and I've been to a lot of places in Asia). It also wasn't that uncommon to spot other tall people there, and I even noticed some Japanese men who were like 6'5 or 6'6.
Is it just fun, or are there problems?
It's kinda funny being tall and also being the little spoon because I rarely date people my height. Like it's funny seeing my 6'5 ass cuddling up to someone a foot shorter and about 80-100lbs lighter and seeing me being the little spoon.
I've never seen myself as tall. I'll sometimes see a tall guy and be like "damn that dudes huge" and when we cross next to each other I realize we're the same size and i'm even sometimes taller. The fact that people see me like that blows my mind. Seeing photos of me with friends is an equal mind-boggle.
Do you feel out of place or see yourself as "normal" size?
I’m 6’3, and have back issues like crazy. Can’t even sit on a chair at work for more than 5 minutes before my lower back feels strained.
Sometimes bending down also hurts. Crazy.
Anyone know why? And do you have back pain too?
Due to the internet memes and dating apps it's starting to be alot of ladies online talking about how much they love a tall man, and im talking about a extremely tall man 6'4+. From experience being above average height hasn't helped me much I've seen shorter guys get way more women than me ( NOT TOO SHORT 5'6 MAX ) but still im wondering from guys that are 6'4 does it make a BIG difference ?
Hello r/tall,
I know most of you are aware of the terrible Eaton Fire in L.A.- a fellow tall and legend Carel Strucken (Twin Peaks, The Addams Family, Star Trek: TNG etc) lost his home in the fires. At 7', he is one of us and I thought it would be nice to reach out to the family for support.
Here is their GoFundMe page, they are nearly at their goal, and any little bit helps!
If you have any other resources that may be useful, links to sites for the tall, thoughts and prayers for them, etc- I will put together a letter/email for them.
There was a specific request from the family for 2XLT shirts and suits to be sent as it is very hard to find these things for Carel- he has his son's wedding coming up in March and needs a suit for that, so by chance, I am his exact size, and offered to send him a suit and some shirts. I have reached out to the family and in the mean time thought it would be a nice gesture for our community to put together a care package for them.
For any clothing items that could be donated you can reach out to me via DM.
From Mike (Carel's son-in-law): We're so very thankful they were able to safely escape the oncoming blaze, but like so many others, they lost everything to the Eaton Fire. Please keep Carel, Tracey, and all those affected by the fires in your thoughts and prayers. All funds will be used by Carel & Tracey as they seek to recover from this tragedy and begin the process of rebuilding their lives.
Thank you r/tall
