193 cm, 183 lbs. Hard to gain muscle/weight

Hello.

I have been working out for a few years and aiming to put on more muscle. The problem is that i cant seem to gain alot more. I'm 183 lbs and (if i may say) look quite good physically, but i still feel a little bit lanky.

I mainly eat Keto so alot of fat and protein, altough i tend to eat whatever i want 2 times a week. My problem is that i cant seem to eat enough. Maybe because keto food is so filling?

Any tips on what i can do/eat to boost my calories and weightgain? I dont want to get big, maybe reach 194 lbs or something.

So... where exactly do these alleged "tall-lover groupie" women hang out IRL?

Title.

I'm sure by now we're all familiar with the social media stuff from girls saying how they'll "only" date tall men and similar pro-tall posts and memes. And of course, the notion that you'll be "swimming in women" just by being tall and simply showing up/not doing anything (lol...)

The question I have is: where exactly can these "tall-lover groupie" girls be found in a real-world setting? Asking for research purposes 🤣

Yeah I've gotten the odd compliment here and there about my height and such, but it's never been this "swimming in pussy" nonsense that gets claimed/pushed by (a certain demographic of) redditors

Honestly I imagine most of the tall guys here are basically invisible in day-to-day life in random encounters with general public women - not much different than the short/shortcel guys that also lurk this board. It's largely a myth that you'll be "swimming in pussy" simply by being tall

Do you reject people on dating apps who are overly-concerned with height?

Just wanted to see if anyone else does the same thing as me, as I’m genuinely curious!

If I ever come across a profile where they’re adamant about only being matched with by someone who is 6 foot or over, I always say no (unless they’re really tall themselves, which makes sense as to why they’d want a taller person).

In my eyes, why would I want to potentially date someone who only considered me because of my height? I get preference, of course, but having it as your actual bio just makes me feel like there’s too much importance placed on height!

Shoe suggestions?

I wear a size 16-17 4x wide and literally live in new balance but I'd love to have an option of a different shoe.

Deadlifts

For people who deadlift , do you find it easier to sumo or conventional or somewhere in between ?

I am asking here because I think being taller would increase the distance of the lift off the ground so I am just curious.

I'm 188 cm and do conventional but I am thinking of going sumo.

How to look less intimidating

Hey guys! I'm going to college next year and I'm trying to be less intimidating. I'm playing football at the school, so I think that already may be making me a little intimidating. Ontop of that, I'm 6'4 330 with a reasonably athletic build (im not a meatball). Of the few people I've reached out to on campus yet, 4 of them have told me that they wouldn't have approached me if I hadn't talked to them first. The weird thing is, it's just dudes. I've had no problem making friends with girls, just with the guys. I spent all of highschool frowning in the halls hoping that people wouldn't talk to me. I'm trying to be more friendly, as I look back on highschool I realize there's so many people I didn't talk to/things I didn't do. I'm hoping to be as friendly and approachable as possible in college. Thanks!

What size mattress?

So I'm not even 200cm (just under 6'6") and my feet are literally on the edge of my standard king size mattress. I know they make the California King that adds 4" of length, but other than that, what do you giants sleep on? I've seen Wyoming King, Alaska King, and other odd sizes that can get huge, but when it comes to the standard sizes, basically anyone taller than me must have feet hanging off the bed, right? Or what do you do about that? I suppose sleeping diagonally can work, but if you share your bed with a spouse or partner, that doesn't seem realistic.

Genuinely very curious how the very tall have adapted to what is readily available in the mattress industry, or if you all just get custom sizes or something.

Weird Tall Person Stories

For a sprinkle of context, I'm a 6ft tall women but I mostly wear shoes with heels (because my feet are arched AF and flat shoes hurt). I'm also the kind of person that weirdos are attracted to like moths to a lamp.

I've had quite a few people make weird comments about being tall, but the one stands out:

I was at a store getting my morning coffee at like 6am, half awake. While in line to pay this 40ish-year-old chick who was maybe 5ft comes up to me and SMUSHES herself up against me and goes, "OMG You're SOOooOOOooooo tall!! Look how small I am compared to you!!!!" and then just keeps talking about how short she is and how giant I am comparatively.

Then she gets the cashier to join in this conversation about how tall I am (I forget the full conversation now because it went on for 10,000 years). I'm just standing there like, "fuck man I just wanna get my coffee and get back in my car" lol

What's the weirdest tall person incident that stands out to you?

tall but with an ugly face

can anyone relate? I’m 6’3 but I feel like my ugly ass face makes the height useless in attracting women

New neighbor is 6’8*

My parents have a new neighbor and my dad said the guy is 6’8 or more. Keep in mind my dad is 6’1. I visit my parents one weekend and I met the guy and shook his hand, he is the same height as me bruh, a bit shorter even.

How is my dad fooled by his slimmer figure? Admittedly I am built like a soccer ball but my dad knows how tall I am lol.

your ideal height are you satisfied or not?

I’m quite happy with my height at 190cm / 6’3ft, sometimes i do wish I could round it off at 200cm just because it’s a nice round number and to experience the extra 10cm could be fun or something.

All in all, i’m satisfied

Are you happy? if not what would your ideal height be and why?

What if the mum is tall but the dad is average

I know that these things are fairly randomised, but there are patterns. When I (F 174cm) was with my ex (M 192cm) it was obvious we'd have giant kids if we ever had them. But it got me thinking, the guy I'm kinda seeing now is 170cm. With him being pretty average and me being way over, does this mean I still have a decent chance of having tall kids? My friend has a mum whos like 178cm and a dad whos 174, and hes about 180cm and his siblings are pretty tall too. But since tall mum/short dad combo is uncommon, I dont have much data. (Me and my friend are white british and the guy im seeing is Korean, if that affects anything).

Please let me know your observations! I love talking about patterns and such, any information is interesting to me!

Height inflation or deflation

I know a lot of guys add a couple of inches to their claimed height. Shoes, insoles, socks etc. I have an acquaintance who is a tall guy. He says he is 6-5 which I do consider to be a tall guy. He has to duck through every doorway he goes through. He must be at least 6-8. I would be so proud to be his height. I don't want to be rude but maybe someone can explain it to me.

Does anyone else just cringe whenever their height is mentioned?

Title, especially during family friend get togethers and such, where there's always height comparisons n stuff. Heck, my math teacher asks me if I grew everytime I enter the class, out loud too, sometimes it's real awkward lol.

My feet are size 16" and I can't find socks that are comfortable, durable, and don't slide down into my shoe while walking or exercising -- any tips/advice?

When I lived in a big city, I would buy socks from a "Big & Tall" store but now my only options are online. I've tried a couple different brands over the years from reading Amazon comments but never had success, so I figured I would ask here.

Secondly, is the annoying thing where socks slide down into the shoe while exercising just a feature of large socks? Or does that mean my shoes are defective? Or is it caused by something totally unrelated?

I started doing low-carb dieting early last month (down 15 pounds) and I've been trying to ease into daily exercise but today my walk around the block had to be cut short because my socks kept sliding down into my shoe so I just came home early. My health issues cannot afford to let me give up on exercise due to me blaming my poor socks.

Thanks in advance for any helpful tips/suggestions!

Other than converse and skateboard shoes, what are some casual shoes that don’t make you taller?

I’m 6’6” and hate wearing shoes that make me taller. I’m 37 so I think I need to stop wearing Etnies and converse just aren’t my thing. Just curious what brand of flat shoes I can find y’all recommend?

Suffering.

Im at an amusement park. Took a few hour long drive to get here. I've been working to lose weight but it's not working and I've been getting kicked off rides left and right because I don't fit in the bars. It hurts but I expected this. But I didn't expect was to get ticked off the main attraction due to my height. I went into the test seat just to find out what the bar can't even get past my legs due to my height. It won't even reach my stomach it's just too cramped. It hurts because this is their main attraction and due to my height I'll never be able to ride it and I just don't know how to feel right now.

What are the best things about being tall? -For a YT-video

Hi everyone! I am making a video where I list all the good things about being tall, and I wanted to hear if anyone had some input. So far I have:

  1. I can reach everything
  2. People’s fascination
  3. It diffuses most violent situations
  4. Free respect (you don’t -always- have to earn it from the beginning)
  5. Attractiveness… unless you are too tall (from personal experience)
  6. Some sports
  7. Shotgun priveledges
  8. Some natural strength
  9. You’re hard to forget

I know there are downsides to some of them too, but I’m just trying to list the positives 😁 I hope you’re all enjoying the spring!

What would tell your younger self about being tall?

I had a baby 4 months ago. He is a very big boy and is in 12 month clothes already. The doctor thinks he’s going to be around 6’6”. I’m tall(5’11”) and his dad is tall(6’4”). Is there anything I should do to help him embrace his height????

Best motorcycle for tall men

I’m 200cm or ~6’6.5 and I’m searching for a motorcycle. I like the style of a Royal Enfield. I’m not looking for anything fast. I just want to take tours on the road to the beach in the summer. Does anyone here own an RE? Any specific brands you could recommend? I care more about the look than a fast engine.

Thanks!
