I’m sure there’s lots of people in this sub with things they want to sell / buy. This community with other fellow tall people would be the perfect market for it. Whether it be shoes, pants, shirts, or even accessories like a tall person snowboard or lawn chair etc etc.

As a 6'3 dude, in the dating world I tend to get both ends of the extremes. I've dated multiple women from 5' to 5'3 and multiple women from 5'10 to 6'. Seems like the middle of the pack (5'4 - 5'9) women, either don't like me or just super elusive and rarer than I think they are. What's yall's patterns when it comes your dating partners height?
Alright im relativly average in height the last time I got measured was in high school I was 5'10.5. Now I'm in college(long story) I have people/friends/classmates who arent as tall as I am say they are 5'10 some say 6'0 and I'm pretty sure they are bullshting but I measure myself now I'm barely 5'11 and with shoes I hit the 6'0 ft mark so idk what these dudes are on about lol
Strange question, but I am curious. It was pointed out to me that I may have felt much safer walking around alone in cities because of my size. I'm more difficult to abduct, have a long reach, and with some simple martial arts training and a knife, walk around with little to no fear of being attacked (by sober people).
When I really wanted to be left alone I would dress in all men's clothing/boots/face covering/triple sports bra. My wonder-woman shoulders did the rest and other humans just assumed I was a dude under all of my layers.
I am curious if this thought has occurred to other tall women? I think it's neat :) It also makes me sad for women that feel afraid or are targeted because of their smaller stature. That shit isn't fair at all.
y some days im 6'1 some days im 5'11 when i measure and idk why
I (5'1 f) was essentially dumped for being too short for a guy (6'5 m). I thought it was a facade, but he is extremely insistent that there's nothing else.
He mentioned he doesn't appreciate it when he's reduced to being the tall guy, particularly at corporate settings where his superiors are.
I tried to just suck it in as an insecurity not wanting to over step and to respect him, but I also can't really see the struggle.
I've always been with taller guys (thought not this tall), yes we get occasional comments but I wear 4inch heels and I don't look "young" and I've never had any negative experiences whatsoever.
That being said, I give minimal regards to optics so maybe it's different for others?
Does anyone have any experiences or thoughts on how having a shorter partner/height being emphasized could affect their reputations/promotions at work.
FYI: I do realize it sounds like a facade, but I've also suggested keeping things casual or temporary, and see other girls so I'm also not sure why.
Been seeing a lot of tall ladies who are insecure about their height or have had negative experiences being tall. Mostly with men or boys.
Tall ladies you’re allowed to be here too. Don’t worry you’re great how you are.
So I actually have the reverse issue of what you might think this is judging by the post title. I’m 6’1 bare foot, depending on the shoe 6’2, when I tell people this they say I have to be taller than that and I’m curious on why that is.
Here’s the thing, I understand why women tell me this, that I have to be taller, and that’s because they’ll meet a hundred 5’9-5’10 dudes claiming to be 6’1, so there’s a pretty noticeable difference. But I’ve had some friends of mine who are 5’10-5’11 or even 6’ saying I look taller than 6’1 and I don’t understand why. A cousin of mine mentioned that it could be due to me having longer legs that gives almost an illusion but I’m curious if any other 6’1 guys here have experienced the same thing.
As per the title but also fit. Run 3 x a week (hill stuff). Recently had a hip injury that requires surgery so my running has deceased by 50%. Still blasting it out though and keeping my heart rate high. I smoke 90% of the people when I’m out and about. Have been doing it for 15 years.
I’m also lifting weights. But man am I struggling to shed kg’s. 94kg is my goal weight and I feel great around there. But fuck me I just cannot seem to get back to it. Feel like post covid lock down my metabolism isn’t the same.
I eat a lot of greens with olive oil and I have ditched bread because I think I have a gluten issue.
I know it’s calories in vs calories out but it’s so hard for me not to reach for food.
Anyone got any of advice in the big man alliance?
Tall Friends Please Help: my 6'6" son is a soccer goalie. I can't find soccer goalie pants that fit him; the padding on knees lands totally and completely on his mid-thigh. Three years ago, I bought 2 pairs, chopped them up, and sewed them back together with everything in the right place. However, a tailor I am not! I've had to resew some part of them every 3 or 4 games literally for three years now. It's time to throw them away. Before I hire a real tailor to do the same, do you know of anywhere I can purchase goalie pants that are made for someone who is really tall? Happy to buy online, but hours of searching have revealed not much, so I hope you know much more than I do.
I’m 6’7 at 17, and I’ve found that I need to eat 4000-5000 calories a day or I start losing weight. Is this something most other tall people experience, or is this something that’s wrong with me specifically?
I'm 5 foot 10, when a person who is 5'6 stands next to me they seem way shorter, but when a fella says they are 6'2 witch is the same 4 inch difference it feels like we are much closer in height. Is it just a matter of perspective? Sorry if this isnt the right place for this im not sure where else to ask this. Thanks!
You know what I'm sick of? People telling us how tall they are and then adding obligatory additional information of how tall they are WITH shoes on.
"look at me I'm 5'11"! BUUUT, damn these awesome 3 inch heels make me...(wait for it)...THREE INCHES TALLER! Now I'm 6'2"! Aren't you glad I did that math for you? I'm 5'11" naked, but I'm NOT that height when I have 3 inch heels! Doesn't that speak to just how tall and powerful I really am!?!?!"
So glad common core math didn't fail you and you can add your heel height to your actual height.
-end rant.
I have a bunch of business dress clothes (button down shirts, slacks, sport coats, and suits) that I no longer need now that I am working fully remote. I don’t really want to just go dump these at a donation center as they’re all custom tailored for a tall/athletic person, so it would be great if I could find someone who can use them. I’m 6’10”, 250lbs. 38-40 inch waist, 38 inch inseam, 18 inch neck, 38 inch sleeve. Any ideas?
Edit: located in Phoenix, AZ. United States
So as title says. I look very young in face we talking 14yo in body of 19yo soon 20. Beard is non existant,im shy and not too confident in myselfs but at least heigh gives me some confidence…Every advice is welcome. Also sorry for grammar im tryin…
I'm 19 and I'm looking for new friends whom I can relate to because being different feels strange to me. I'm from a country where people are typically shorter(5'4), but at 192 cm (6'4"), I stand out a lot. The stares and attention I receive are very uncomfortable, so I just want to find someone I can relate to
That one of the first Russian czars was 6’8 when the average height at the time was like 5’5
I’m 6’5” 250lbs. Looking for a beach chair that is nice for relaxing in a few hours at a time but also easily packable and comfortable enough to haul for a mile or two.
Not too concerned with bells and whistles. It’s tough to tell from Amazon reviews what’s good because most people are way smaller. Thanks!
