Not only am I a 37 year old divorced mom of two, I’m 6’1”! As much as I am looking for a dude that’s I mesh well with, I just wanna feel like a little spoon!!! 🥄 Can anyone relate? Thoughts?
I've seen a lot of arguments under celebrity posts. Most of them are about basketball players. People dig their heels into the ground and choose to die on the hill of a basketball player being taller than they actually are.
Heights you find on Google are shoe-on heights. One post I saw recently about Kobe and MJ being 6'4 got a lot of hate but it's true. Just subtract 1 ½ inches from what you see on Google and you have the real height. It's that easy
Hi guys, I know I’m not the tallest around here, but I thought this would be the best place to ask about this kind of thing.
I’m starting medical school next year, and whenever I’ve done shadowing, after an hour or so of standing, my lower back always starts to feel compressed/uncomfortable. I can fix it momentarily by bending over and stretching, but I was hoping someone here might have some kind of more permanent solution.
I know that rotations and residency will involve a lot of standing, so if anyone has some shoe suggestions or any other solutions, I’d really appreciate it. Shout out to any other tall future or current physicians in this subreddit btw
I am looking to maybe buy a place, but a vast majority of the places on the market - at least those I can find on sites like redfin/Zillow - have low ceilings. To the point where I can punch the ceiling by stretching vertically.
I have done so in the past but I find it depressing to live in a space where I can't fit completely in, so I'm looking for a place with high ceilings. Do you have a favorite way to find places that have the space?
Ahoy! Curious if any of you have recommendations on ski bibs for very tall people. I’ve been skiing my whole life and always piece together my gear at ski swaps and hand-me-downs. I’m in the market for a nice pair of bibs (200-300 dollar range). Looking for advice from experienced skiers and people who understand what makes good ski gear good. It seems like the “tall specific” retailers don’t have very high quality ski gear. Curious if any of the big ski brands accommodate tall folk. Thanks a bunch!! Let it snow!
Anyone else despise the really short to the gound public toilets ? Those ones that feel like your doing a complete squat and they are almost always tiny seats too.
And for guys, my buddy and I talked about it earlier, but anyone else find it so much easier to just sit to pee? With the extra aim required from our height it just is not worth the risk lol..
Maybe it's because I'm european but I've never wanted to build muscles and no one ever pressured me into doing it, everyone seems obsessed with it here tho
Hi, I’m only 6’3”, but anyway I’m hoping that you big people understand my search terms better than the big google does!
Earlier, I saw an ad for a neat little hutch with what look like shallow drawers, but are actually tilt-out shelves meant to hold tennis shoes toes-down. Tilt them up to close, and hide shoes out of sight in a nice-looking hutch.
I like the idea. But I have no faith at all that it could fit my BIG CUSHY SHOES, size 14 US / 13 UK / 48 Euro.
I have about 15 pairs of shoes, sneakers, and boots I’m dealing with in a blank studio apartment. I’m looking for one or two pieces of furniture for the purpose of storing them.
Has anyone here successfully found a product for sale that fits this description? A neat piece of furniture designed to store my monster stompers out of sight?
I’d consider a wide range of sizes, but maximum dimensions are 42” wide by 93” tall (106.7 x 238.8 cm), or, if I position it elsewhere in the room, 72” wide by 54” tall (182.9 x 236.2). Deep enough or somehow accommodating enough to store a significant number of big shoes.
I’d consider a multipurpose piece of furniture too, as long as it works for this purpose—unlike the bookcase I already bought with the doors that don’t close on my shoes.
Thanks in advance
It’s a boring story but knowing I was wrong makes me feel bad.
When I joined the Navy end of 2018, we’d always get in height lines, shortest to tallest to get food.
I was measured at 5’11 and when I got in line this guy said “How tall are you OP” and I said 5’11.
He denied this and said I was 6’ because he was 5’11, and I was taller than him. This went on for a solid 3 minutes of us bickering until our fellow recruits told us to shut up. I was straight up gaslighting him saying I’m barely 5’11 so he’s definitely not.
When I got to my first command I was measured at 6’ and the rest is history.
If he’s out there, my bad man. Congrats on being 5’11.
Since Halloween only ended two days ago, i was just curious to know how creative this sub gets when using their heights to execute costumes ideas. Whether for this halloween or the previous ones lol
Hey guys, I'm interested as to how many of you may have made it further in basketball if you weren't the tallest on the high school team but ended up a guard's height. I'm 193cm or 6' 4''. I played center or PF but my heart wanted SG. If somebody developed me i could've been a slightly shorter Luka Doncic :)
I hate the sink and brushing teeth. Also recently had to go to my room as it’s the only place I can elevate my foot enough to put my socks on.
