I've had some really good success, as well as a one okay item buying second hand on reselling sites. Thrifting in person has always felt like a waste of time being 6'4" and a skinny 185 lbs frame. But you can actually find tall sizes of high quality garments.
Some tips:
Use measurements, not just sizes. Chest and length for tops, waist, inseem and overall length for pants. A lot of people are trying to sell clothes that shrunk in the wash.
Related to that, Shop a size up in shrink prone garments. I've found a fair amount of sweaters in a size up that are perfectly my measurements. When new, nothing that size fits me well.
Shop by brands. Find the brands you know fit you and have the quality/styles you like. Banana Republic tall sizes work great for me and I have had good success finding excellent condition tops with the quality I expect and for way cheaper.
Get your expensive but high quality items here: 100% merino sweaters, linen pants, silk shirts. I got several wool/merino sweaters for the price of one new one. And if you shop right and take care of it they can last as long as any new garment would
Hi All,
I've been looking at ShopBric lately for tall sizes. Has anyone bought from them before?
This is their website: https://shopbric.com/ . Thoughts?
Thank you!
Does anyone know where I can find loafers to wear with dress slacks? The slacks are navy, so I'm looking for navy, dark brown, or black loafers. Ideally they are comfortable for all day wear and don't look outdated.
My boyfriend is 6'7 (200cm) and quite lean. He struggles to find decent fitting jeans/trousers anywhere. Any recommendations? Preferably U.K./EU based stores.
My dad is 6'4 and loves the old Tommy Bahama relaxed fit jeans. They are super soft like AG but softer and very light weight. They are also VERY relaxed. He needs room in the legs. His jeans have holes and the new TB don't fit his legs. Help! Any suggestions?

Anyone know where I can find such a thing? I saw one from LL Bean, and tried it on, and I was absolutely in love with the style and feel of the jacket, but sadly, even the tall size did not fit me very well. Does anyone have any ideas for alternatives?
I'm open to recommendations of any kind of waxed canvas jacket or field jacket that you want to recommend! Thanks in advance!
Does any know a brand that has sweatpants that don’t have the jogger cuff? I’d prefer a heavyweight material as well. Thanks

Not talking about jeans. For the last few months it seems like the supply of 36x36 casual & dress pants has dwindled.
Can't find the usual brands like haggar, dockers, van huesen, savane. I've looked at JCpenny, Kohls, Macys, even Amazon.
All the other sizes are there except for 36x36!
Has anyone else noticed this, any suggestions on where to find inexpensive ($25-$40) office pants?
Hi everyone, so basically I'm tall and thin and I'm looking for a new winter coat, but trying to avoid "tall sized" ones because they run a little long on my torso.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a warm winter coat that runs longer on the sleeve length without being too wide/long in the torso area?
Thank you so much!!!
A lot of the sweats I find are either too short or way to wide (brands that only offer tall sizes for like xxl). I wear 30/36 or 30/34 jeans and would be fine with either a baggy/loose fit or a jogger-ish fit. I've bought under armour tall sizes that fit pretty well, but since I'm still growing, they've started to get a bit shorter on me. What do you guys get that under $30 per pair?
Like actual good quality. Not American tall. Not Aeropostale. Not Tall Slim Tees. Etc etc
I’m willing to pay up to $200 per hoodie / sweatshirt, however I’m hoping there’s some good sales currently going on.
A few brands I like:
Hi TFA! My husband has requested what he calls "work hoodies" for Christmas. He wants something warm and comfy with a full zip that looks nice in a business-casual workplace, something like this or this. He has a very long torso (he's 6'2" but it's ALL in his upper body), so it's had to find stuff that fits nicely, and my preliminary research has primarily turned up shirt-jackets and sweaters, neither of which are really his style. I'm planning to check a few more places, but I'm curious if the tall guys on here have a brand they like for similar pieces.
Every pair of pants I have rides up hard on my groin when I sit down to the point of being painful and deeply frustrating. I’m not sure if finding a long rise pants brand would fix this or if I need “athletic” cut pants that are more generous in the rear.
I’m 6’2” with a 38-40” waist. I don’t know what my tailored rise would be. I do lift and have muscled / bulky glutes which contributes (or may fully be the cause of the problem).
Whence, the problem seems 2 fold: both a rise issue and a cut issue (the waist runs straight down to the leg which my backside then pulls hence shortening the rise).
If anyone has dealt with this and found a company or solution that’d be amazing as it’s deeply frustrating.
One thought I had was to buy pants maybe 2-4” larger in the waist and then paying a tailor to take in the waist while leaving space for my glutes … or worst case I just wear the pants with a belt and suspenders. Tailoring all my pants would be expensive yet worth it so a known brand solution would be appreciated.
FWIW I also have this problem with my overalls and it’s worse with them, so I’m not convinced a belt and suspender would fix it as the suspenders would be pulling up.
My boyfriend is in desperate need of some nice fitting t-shirts. He’s 6’8 and 270lbs with broad shoulders. The issue he runs into is that LT shirts fit too tight around his shoulders, but XLT fits too large and looks baggy. He’s had success with basic Kohl’s Sonoma tees, but their selection is limited. He’s not a fan of American Tall, as their quality has gone down and all the shirts he bought from them shrunk in the wash, even on cold with air drying. Welcoming any and all suggestions on y’all’s favorite tall tees for broad shoulders! Thanks in advance!

6'7" 32-34 inseam. Ordered some open hem Adidas track pants in L Tall that work just fine, but the joggers with elastic cuffs are way to short and riding up way above the ankles when working out.
I just discovered they also make tall sizes in +2" and +3" inseam for a few models, and got the first one today that is perfect.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BGSWJ4DH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Now I'm trying to find more variety, but can only find three other models on Amazon and nothing on Adidas' website at all. I have a long torso and their tall shirts are a bit short, so any +2 or +3 shirts would be great, but I can't find anything of the sort, either.
Any idea where to find more Adidas +2/+3 items?
Has anyone tried the Alphalete Amplify Leggings? The original ones don't list the size on the website and I can only find shorter girlies on youtube doing try-ons but I really want to know if they'd be long enough for me. For reference, I'm about 5'10 with an inseam of 32". I would also take suggestions on a dupe for the 3-tiered waistband, i dont care about the booty scrunch
Does anyone recommend any brands or retailers for thermal long johns for someone 6’4 upwards? No specific colour but just guaranteed to keep you warm and not shrink on wash
Hi, Reddit community!
I'm in the process of launching my own fashion brand that focuses exclusively on dresses for tall women (height range 5'11" and above). I'm looking for some guidance and suggestions for cities in the USA with a higher population of tall women.
Additionally, I’d love to hear your recommendations for areas where it would make the most sense to launch a store catering to this niche market.
If you're tall or know of cities where there's a strong market for specialized clothing, I’d greatly appreciate your input! Bonus points for insights into fashion trends or preferences among tall women in the US.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Currently I have loose jeans in W31 and L34 but they are kinda short and I would like to wear baggy jeans because the loose jeans become tight on my thighs. I searched a lot on various websites but most of the baggy jeans were 32L or lower (some were 34L). I found these jeans on Boohooman: https://www.boohooman.com/de/BMM64496.html I liked how they look but they are only available in L32 or shorter. Does anyone know a jeans that looks like this in L36?
My measurements are 31 inch Waist and 35 inch Inseam.
Hello! I am posting looking for advice on where to find baggy, long length baggy tracksuit bottoms for my boyfriend. He likes a street wear aesethic, and has never been able to find some... I'd love to get him a pair or set for christmas! He is 6ft7, and slender build (32 waist)...
Any help would be appericated!
Hello, this is my first time posting in this subreddit. I’m not sure how to explain what I’m looking for, but I’ll do my best. I’m 5’11 and usually anywhere from a size 12-18, and usually wear a 34-35 inch inseam. I’m looking for some pants that are long enough but also still fun and cute. Every time I try to look online, nothing that fits what style I want is actually long enough. I really like the style of carpenter or cargo pants, so I guess more of a boyish style? I like things like with lots of pockets, fun seams, and rips. I’m so sorry, I have no idea what words to use for this kind of stuff lol. I’m also cool with joggers along with different fits and colors. If anyone could point me to a shop that sells these kinda of things, I’d greatly appreciate it! Thank you!!
Not really fashion per se, but I would like to buy one of those “pump cover” shirts that some people use to go to the gym (a.k.a. “over sized” shirts), but haven’t had any luck searching online.
I’m 6’4 and weight around 200 lbs.
Does anyone have any recs? I live in the US btw. Thanks!
Where are tall folks getting their trenches or pea coats? I need a more formal coat for an event but no commercially available women’s pea cots or trenches are nearly long enough in the sleeves. TYIA!
I’m a 5’11 28 year old female , size 16/18 and I have no idea where to find clothes these days. After having my first baby in January of this year, I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been and super insecure. I feel like I look like a line backer 😣 Id like to find trendy , fashionable pieces to add to my wardrobe but I just don’t even know where to start. When I try to replicate an outfit I’ve seen, it never looks good on me because the model is either plus size OR tall but not both. In stores that sell plus size clothing, the options are very limited and usually not my style- or seem to be for older women.
I guess I’m just looking for suggestions ? Places to find some clothes that won’t break the bank, but will help me look more put together opposed to just throwing on a t-shirt and leggings every time I leave the house. TIA
