I'm a 6'2f. Im very insecure about my height. I'm always the center of attention even when I don't want to be. I get complimented all the time but it doesn't make me feel any better. But I think it's less of my looks and more about my future. Ive yet to be in one and I know this probably isn't true, but I feel like it's because of my height. I rarely come across guys that are my height or close to it. I personally don't care how tall he is, but I need to know how guys feel. Will I ever be in a relationship? š
Pick me?
Have you ever said something a little āpick me shaā but it was more interpreted wrong. For context I was speaking about a specific TikTok about football and it was a man asking the whole āwhat is offsideā rule. I had said like I felt like girls were acting dumb saying they donāt know the rule under a manās TikTok because it just gives them the satisfaction of thinking girls are dumb or something. However I think it was interpreted wrong. Woman play soccer and we have the full capability to understand soccer and it just made me a little annoyed that he got that satisfaction from the video where he was tryna chat women down? Iām not a pick me at all I feel like but it is literally keeping me up now this comment was interpreted and itās the first time anyone has ever said anything like this. Be honest I can take it, am I giving pick me?
My daughter who is 5ft 9 and nearly 17 goes to college. She is in a group of 4 girls at college and she has told me one of them keeps being mean about her height to her (this girl is 5ft 3) Today she said to her she will never get a boyfriend as she wonāt find many boys taller than herā¦ Can anyone give any advice as to what my daughter should say to her. Itās really starting to upset her and knock her confidence and Iām not sure what to suggest. Thank you in advance x
I need help deciding if I should make a book about every memory/good time that I have?
I am a big gift person especially when it comes to making them from the heart as well. Me and my bf had been dating for a year but Iāve know him since the second semester of sophomore year, and started dating during our junior year. Now we are seniors and it looks like our paths are totally different. We would have to do long distance, I have never been in a long distance relationship nor has he, but I am really worried about a lot of things like him losing interest or him finding someone else that had the same spark that me and him had when we met. This is where Iām having trouble, idk if I should write a book about all of the times that I hold so close to my heart or if I shouldnāt and instead just do something else. Idk what to do I am kinda stuck about Making this book.š§š»āāļø
Iām not sure if this is just my own experience, because I havenāt found any threads on the topic, but do any other tall women find that theyāre asked to do more physical labor at work than their average-height women coworkers. Iām about 6ā1 and also Black, so that adds a layer to my triggered state.
For context, I work in the retail corporate world which requires some store set-up and merchandising and previously I worked as a trade show coordinator. Regardless of my job description, if someone has to move a heavy item, unload their car, hang something, the finger is pointed to me. My current position relies heavily on desk work, yet Iām being sent out of the office to set up stores. At this point Iām getting boxed in with all of this hands-on experience and losing opportunities for growth in other areas like project management and brand marketing. It doesnāt help that my company just had a round of layoffs which removed a good chunk of hands-on staff, and now itās assumed Iāll absorb all of their duties.
And Iāll be honest, I do care a lot about my appearance, my nails & hair is always done, I wear nice shoes and dresses & skirts. I donāt like getting dirty š So yea, Iām that priss that doesnāt want to break a nail like any other woman. Why should I be denied that privilege just because Iām taller than average?
Hello fellow tall girls,
I was wondering if any of you have had luck with finding bodysuits that actually fit and don't give you a crazy wedgie down there, lol. I love the look of bodysuits and they look amazing with jeans, I feel they really dress an outfit up! I've tried "tall" bodysuits from ASOS and other similar brands but I still feel like these aren't long enough for my torso and I still find that it rides up throughout the day.
Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks!
Hi all I'm just wondering if JC Penny has tall clothes in store or if it's only online? What is the quality like? Do the states have any stores that have tall clothing in brick and motar stores?
Thanks in advance!
I really like this boy and he is really tall but because I have marfan syndrome so I'm even taller.
my friend knows I like him and jokingly said to him "would you want to date mabel"
and then my crush replied no I wouldn't date someone taller.
I can't really blame him because he is quite tall himself but this has really broke me and I don't know what to do.
As an woman I'm insane tall 6'8 I obviously also have enormous feet, they are very long and thin, so I usually need size 47 or size 48 eu size , most of the time impossible to find any female shoes above size 43 or 44 , I'd love to know what you very tall women do when you get shoes , typically I get my shoes shoes hand made, but it's very costy , do you buy sneakers , I wouldn't use Nike Basketball boots , usually only shoes I can buy that for my long soles.
...what could I get her that she might appriciate or need especially? Sheās 5ā11 and Iāve already made her knitted wristwarmers as her outer coat doesnāt cover them.
Where do you guys shop? Iām having difficulties buying shirts online because I have a very long torso. I hate the new style that every shirt is basically a a crop top.
Stores? Online?
Any other women find it hard to feel comfortable next to the average size man because of your height? Iām 5ā8, and most of my boyfriends are the same height of me but i find that guys who are taller than 5ā10 start to get cocky and just have the worst personalities, plus theyāre used to dating petite girls... anyone else single and miserable like me?
Also letās not even mention how many times guys have looked at me in terror once I stood up or rejected me at the club cuz Iām too tall
(Posted on tall girls as well) I have debilitating menstrual pain and mentioned it to at least seven or eight doctors over several years. Other than the recommendation of taking a shit-ton of Advil or that birth control would fix everything, no doctor really took my concerns seriously. I was in the doctor's office for something else and ended up getting a ultrasound which showed a large cyst on my ovary. After surgery, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. This was the first I had heard of the disease. Unfortunately, eight years to get a diagnosis is pretty average for this.
Unfortunately there is a correlation between being both tall and being thin as a girl and developing endometriosis later on. I included two links below but there are other studies as well.

If one in 10 women has it, it is definitely possible that someone on the sub does as well. I thought I'd provide a couple resources.
Here is a link from the Mayo clinic that tells more about endometriosis. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/endometriosis/symptoms-causes/syc-20354656
From women's health. Gov https://www.womenshealth.gov/a-z-topics/endometriosis
Symptoms of endometriosis can include:
Pain.Ā This is the most common symptom. Women with endometriosis may have many different kinds of pain. These include:
Very painful menstrual cramps. The pain may get worse over time.
Chronic (long-term) pain in the lower back and pelvis
Pain during or after sex. This is usually described as a "deep" pain and is different from pain felt at the entrance to the vagina when penetration begins.
Intestinal pain
Painful bowel movements or pain when urinating during menstrual periods. In rare cases, you may also find blood in your stool or urine.
Bleeding or spottingĀ between menstrual periods. This can be caused by something other than endometriosis. If it happens often, you should see your doctor.
Infertility,Ā or not being able to get pregnant.
Stomach (digestive) problems.Ā These include diarrhea, constipation, bloating, or nausea, especially during menstrual periods.
Good day,
after many years of struggling with something that should so simple, I decided to ask for help.
I live in the gulf/middle east, here I am considered to be a tall woman with a height of 1.80cm (5.9ft) mu weight is 68kg. As a middle easter woman I have curves, a closer example, imagine Shakira or Salma Hayek body type, and add hight to that. the regular hight in the gulf is around 1m 60 cm (1.6). here comes the dilemma, I can not find pants that are tall enough with a high waist cut. I also can not find sweat pants, I tried ordering online multiple times from different stores, the problem was that the cut did not fit me properly around the hips. I just need a sweatsuit/ sweatpants something comfortable little baggy, 90s style. anyone can relate, plz let me know how did you solve this?
Hey guys, so I have just made a tinder profile and have been swiping for a while. There is this guy who wants to meet irl and I am interested in meeting him as well (no clue how tall he is). Only thing is I wonder whether I should mention my height (6'1/1,85m) to him as to not scare him away later on.
I personally do not have a problem with my height or dating shorter men, but I sometimes feel like my height can be kind of intimidating.
What do you think?
New to the sub, hello all! Holiday season always has me feeling so torn. My grandma means well, but people just donāt realize that clothing doesnāt fit me the same. Pants and Panamaās just arenāt long enough, but shirts donāt fit right either. Torso and sleeves are too short. I went to return some of the things...but to get long enough arms I need to up 3 sizes. That makes the rest of the top look baggy and no longer flattering. Ugh!
The struggle is real....anyone else agree?
This is a great idea for a sub because I am always looking for clothing advice! I'm 5,11' (6 even if I do yoga, weird I know but true)
And now I will share some myself. Old Navy and Gap online have a tall section. Yes they may not be the MOST upscale clothes but jeans are jeans for me. Also if you sign up as a member you get crazy deals. The other day I got 50% off my entire order, AND because there was difficulties with the code for the 50% off they gave me an extra 35% off. Eddie Bauer also has a tall shop online, it is expensive but for winter coats or similar "big" purchases, it is a good deal because they have lifetime guarantees, so if your zipper on your winter coat goes after 5 years, they will replace it. I find MEC (mountain equipment coop) has longer sleeves and torso on a lot of their clothes. And if you really want to support an awesome place look up Pina Clothing from Uclulet, B.C. cutest clothes, comfy, sustainable and long sleeves.
So i love shopping at thrift stores but since I'm over 6' it's so tough finding jeans that are long enough! I've heard that you can stretch jeans by soaking them in water and tugging on the leg. I haven't tried it but my hope would be to add some inches to the legs of second hand jeans.
Have any of you tried stretching your jean legs? How much length could you get?
Hi!! Thank you for creating this! Long overdue. I create videos on YT mostly for tall women where I try on clothing from various retailers that carry taller pieces with longer inseams. Fell free to watch and comment and subscribe with recommendations and videos you's like to see :)
And now, let's get the party started. If you need any encouragement, here's a few topic ideas to work on:
Body image. How tos, what worked and what didn't?
Fashion advice. We all know Long Tall Sally and Socksdream, but are there other sources of clothes and shoes that few, if any, know about?
Social movement. Ever noticed how a lot of things don't fit us because we're tall? How about we gather and tell the world that we exist, and we may need leg room on a plane? Or size 12 heels in other colors than red and black?
Relationships. The delicate topic, but we shouldn't swat people right away for merely speaking their minds out. Maybe something good will come out of it.
I created this sub from the need to put some valuable resources in one place. It looks like everything tall girl related on reddit is more or less NSFW, or has something to do with people's fetishes about us.
I am a tall girl myself, and oftentimes I found we're being overlooked in everything - fashion, general accomodation, public perception and so on. Sometimes the world feels like it wasn't made for us.
So here's our chance to build a safe, useful and respectful community that everyone can benefit from. Feel free to submit, ask questions, and generally enjoy your stay here.
Happy browsing!
