I've been thinking a lot about General Lane from My Adventures With Superman lately, how he started off as a villain trying to hunt down and destroy Superman, and how Lois convinced him to back down, a move that cost him his former position and his freedom. Then Lois and Superman and friends break him out, and seeing nothing but danger for his daughter the longer he stays, Sam goes on the run. And when Brainiac comes to town, Sam puts together the Cavalry and helps Superman and Supergirl defend Metropolis and destroy the Metallos.
To me, General Lane seems like a very complicated character; on one hand he's ruthless and fairly fearful, his actions while leading Task Force X were fairly questionable at best, and I can't really get his logic for leaving after seeing how Superman came to his and Lois's defense from Slade and his punks in the Suicide Squad; on the other, he seems to genuinely love his daughter despite his failings as a father, and his reaction to Waller using Human experimentation shows that he still cares about keeping people safe. And then there's the deep trauma he suffered at Zero Day; watching his friends and brothers in arms get mercilessly gunned down by Kryptonian invaders has got to leave deep scars.
So now after helping Superman save the day, and now that Amanda Waller is on the run, Sam might have a chance for a fresh start. Me personally, I say that he deserves it. In my view, his help in the season finale made up for a bunch of his misdeeds for Task Force X, and I can see the President giving him a pardon for it. This would leave him free to make up for leaving Lois behind again, and he can't exactly do that if the government is still hunting him down.
But what do you all in this community think?
They are really good. LOK is genuinely one of the best looking 2d cartoons ever and this show looks fantastic as well. I didn't realize it until I looked it up 😂 I think it's really cool. Too bad they aren't returning for avatar studios, their animation is stunning!!
But can you imagine how being a villain in MAWS must feel? You have downed superman, your evil plan has worked perfectly, you are about to win. And then he starts glowing blue like a fucking glowstick and beats the the shit out of you. And then you go to jail. I would be so embarrassed I would give up crime forever.
I know she’s usually significantly younger but doesn’t seem to be that much of an age difference this time. Have the creators said anything about this?
If they’re the same age it also makes it bit strange that she would be superGIRL instead of superWOMAN
That is mu Question Which DC Comic Writer who has experience writing TV and Animation you wanna see Write an Episode or 2 of My Adventure with Superman? Josie Campbell Head writer is herself that both comic writer(I Heart Skull Crusher #6 out now and Josie is currently writing Shazam I) and she probably friends with lots of other DC writers
Personally I like to see Paul Dini write an episode no stranger to Superman since he wrote many episodes of Superman The Animated Series his episode would probably have many homage to Superman The Animated Series the way the first episode of Batman the Brave and the Bold had many homage to Batman the Animated Series is my guess how his episode would be like anyway
Speaking of Batman Brave and the Bold I think Diedrich Bader should voice Batman in My Adventure with Superman Universe I think his take on the character would fit right in MAWS Universe if you think about it
Anyway that's me which DC Comic Writer with Animation experience you like to see Write an Episode or 2
And Clark spends the whole day being a passenger princess and jumping off the highest peaks he can find just to stress Lois out as much as she does him.
