Hi guys! So whilst a lot of the original animated series was a masterpiece, something I wish we got more of was pre-transformation Harvey Dent.
Is anyone else hoping that his character arc will be a huge story point in this show? And I don't just mean him appearing in one episode pre-acid, I mean showing his work with Batman and slowly revealing more and more of his dark side and how he was always on a slippery slope.
I almost see it as like Anakin Skywalker's arc, you know? We all know what Harvey's fate is, and the tragedy is seeing it play out, learning to like him, seeing characters missing the red flags, and walking blindly towards this horrible character change.
I don't know how dark the show will be, and I don't even necessarily want buckets of blood or copious swearing. But I'd just really love Big Bad Harv to be a key player and an increasingly morally dubious presence in Batman's life.
Does anyone know when we get a trailer or a teaser
Hey, does anybody here have any Batman caped crusader pictures, leaked clips or anything and is willing to share
Because a Alot Of People Have Told Me It Will Be Set In the 1940's I Don't Know If But I Don't Know If It's True
Like every batman theme songs, who do you think who's gonna compose the theme song for Batman caped crusader, should be more dramatic like btas, Batman the brave and the bold, or guitar theme like the Batman 2004 series, beware the Batman.
Or no theme song at all.
"I have no idea if the CRISIS part of IGN’s supposed scoop is true or not, but Kevin Conroy did not record a voice for CAPED CRUSADER. We were hoping to have him do a voice for the new show (and he was eager to do it) but sadly he passed away before we could make it happen.
As I have to do every so often, I will remind you all once again to take all un-sourced ‘news’ items in the sci-fi/comics/entertainment cybersphere with a huge grain of salt. Occasionally these ‘leaks‘ actually turn out to be true, but often as not they’re just cynical clickbait."
Since we all known batman caped crusader is coming this year, (supposedly) would the show use title cards again, i know the previous batman cartoons have use title cards before, but there were the same generic looking title cards for every episodes, and well not creative as btas.
But if they're gonna do creative title cards like btas, i would like to a seen 70's/80's vintage movie posters inspired artwork for each title cards. Just how btas did with their 1940's/50's posters esque for their title cards for each episode, i just like to see more creative artwork for each title cards, oh well.
Hi everyone! Really looking forward to the series.
But what villains are you most excited to see in this new show? The original series really captured Batman's rogues gallery very well, but there's a ton of villains we didn't see who the slightly darker tone of Caped Crusader might allow!
For myself, I remember seeing some concept art of the vampire character Nocturna, and would love it if they finally got to use her design, as I'm always a sucker for a good vampire story!
Who are you all most excited to see?
Do you think they might show the caped crusader trailer during the superbowl
Anybody have any new updates this wait is sorta too long like when are they gonna release it their aim date is over so now when is it supposed to come out
‘BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER’ is described as very different to ‘Batman: The Animated Series’, including more visual violence and a noir-like tone. Source: https://www.youtube.com/live/StTepN-5BI8?si=eq4MXeSrUfxOH16j
I came on when "Batman died" an issue before "Close Before Striking" in the first volume of the long-running Batman comics, in early 2001. And am planning to buy a couple of his volumes.
I'm really excited that the man behind The Winter Soldier is working on this show, because it's like Paul Dini working with Bruce Timm- frankly, the guy behind Bruce Wayne: Murderer? and Batman: Fugitive? I'm excited. (Scott McDaniel's also one of my top five favorite Batman artists, other than Jim Lee. He worked with Brubaker, back in the day- that's an aside!)
Especially with the fact, they just started marketing merry little Batman I wish they would market something at least such as a release date or a teaser trailer. It’s been almost 3 years since they announced it the show Has to almost done at this point
I keep hearing rumors and seeing news articles that it's gonna come out in 2023 if that's the case then what the heck are they doing taking so long on the promotional stuff for the year is almost over
Just outa curiosity does anyone know what type of animation / quality of animation their doing on the show I head a rumor that its going to be 2.5d or just plain 2d. I hop if its 2d its not going to be cheep like a lot of modern animation that came out also is anyone fore sure that its coming out in 2023.
It's been years since it's announcement and yet we have not seen a single bit of footage of it. When do you think we will get a trailer?
its been 3 years since this shows been announced no trailer no extra footage no nothing I'm starting to think this show might not happen I feel like its loosing hype or it also feels like a tax write off rather way its taking forever for them to announce or show anything
Am I the only one suspicious that they're not gonna show cape crusader at comicon this year I feel like there's no real Line up
is the actors strike gonna effect the production of the series
Due to the tragic backstories of many of Batman's foes, it can be easy to sympathize with them. And in recent years, reforming villains has become more common in animation. Sometimes it's done very well, other times very poorly. And this can even apply to villains who are NOT reformed in universe. But, if this new Batman series tries this, which villains do you think deserve a shot at happiness? Joker's already out, for obvious reasons. So far, here's everyone whom I think should get reformed and how.
Harley Quinn, finally stands up to Joker and breaks free.
Two-Face, he'll be the most tragic. Perhaps Harvey Dent eventually tries to start resisting Two-Face, and not even the coin can help this time. Eventually, this leads to Harvey wresting control for one final time. But knowing all the blood on his hand, and knowing that Two-Face will keep fighting, he sacrifices himself.
Mr. Freeze, this one could also be tragic, but it could also be very heartwarming. If the former is taken, inspiration from Batman: Arkham Knight should be taken, and he's reunited with Nora in a similar way, or gives his life to be with her. Or, if the latter is explored, a cure is found not only for Nora, but for Victor's condition.
Killer Croc, I think the lesser known BTAS episode Sideshow, would make a nice inspiration here. Croc, learns that there are others in the world with deformaties like his own. And when he meets at least one, and is treated well by them, he begins rethinking everything. In the 90's, Batman ended up ruining it when he arrived, and caused Croc's temper to heat up. But by the end, you can see the remorse in Croc's eyes. This was his one shot at happiness, and it's gone. This time, more tact will be needed, and Croc will need to exercise more self control. Because no one should be hated for being born with something.
Poison Ivy, this should be easy... considering she's reformed in the books. Ivy was able to figure out that her actions also caused as much harm to plants as humans do. And when she learns that there are those on the side of good who are allies of plants, that ends up causing her to re-think everything, and reform. Simple as that.
Catwoman, again, should be pretty easy, as she's an on and off ally. But something I've noticed in more recent books and continuities (and this could coincide with Ivy's arc), is that Selina Kyle, is a social justice warrior. Caring much for children, the LGBT, outcasts in society, animals, the environment, climate, women, etc. And before anyone here gets angry, know this. SJW's see the super villainy that plagues or world, just as superheroes see the super villainy in there's. if only that no good Bezos can overook this.
Who do you think should be reformed?
