I have a friend looking to move to Sunnyside. I'm really trying to help them get a place here but just need advice. Their budget is $1950, hoping to stay closer to $1800. They are REALLY wanting a one bedroom and I just don't know.. is this possible these days? Where should we look?

Before anyone comes for me, I have a BEAUTIFUL, SPACIOUS one bedroom for less than $1700 here so I know it's somewhat possible. But it was hard to get this a few years ago so I just don't know what the market is now. I used the dreaded First Exec Realty to get this place and it was worth it but really emotionally distressing lmao.

Any thoughts on this? If not, any neighborhoods we can look at? TIA

Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations for a site to post about my lease break for a 3b2b in Sunnyside. So far I've tried Facebook (Marketplace and bunch of different housing groups like NYC short term housing, Sunnysiders, Sunnyside Together, etc.), the NYCApartments subreddit, Leasebreak, Spareroom, Listings Project, etc. but haven't found anyone to take over my lease. Landlord wouldn't allow me to post on StreetEasy unless I pay for the building's broker which is a 1 month fee plus rent until whenever they can find a replacement for me plus the price difference if they cannot rent out the unit at my current price, and I wasn't sure if I want to do that so I was just trying to find a replacement on my own. Should I use the building's broker in this case?

I really need to move soon because my housemate relocated and I cannot afford this unit on my own, and I also have some family commitment to attend to in my home country. Has anyone been in some similar situation and was able to find someone to take over the lease (especially during this winter time) or have some advice for my situation? Thank you!

What are some possible solutions as I’ve been seeing this more and more? Our once beautiful community is littered with dog shit everywhere. Waking down the street, you’ll literally watching every step. If people can’t take the time to pick up after their dog sh*t, they shouldn’t own a pet.
