Yes, we hear that helicopter, too. No, we don't know what it is.

I have mid-length, straight hair. Need a cut that is low maintenance and will grow out well. Give me the names of your favorite salons and stylists!
Somebody was kind enough to stick it in a telephone pole.
I've seen some people practicing martial arts with sticks on some weekends in Astoria Park. It was during the summer. Anyone know what school this might be? I know this has a slim chance of response but I'd be grateful to get the scoop.
Hi all,
I saw a beagle run away from its owner this morning on 33rd street but lost it after crossing Astoria Blvd, looks like it was heading towards 30th Avenue.
I’m really hoping someone is able to reunite them with their owner:(
Hey all, I am new in Astoria and loving it so far. I was looking for recommendations for birthday cakes in the area, chocooate preferred but I would try anything. Thank you in advance.
Hey all! My buddy and I (both males in our 30s) are looking for anyone else interested in playing indoor beach volleyball in Sunnyside. All details are in the image above.
We’re both chill and just trying to have fun and be active! We are NOT experienced players, this is an all abilities league.

Thanks!
Currently unemployed and in the process of interviewing. I’m looking for something part time that makes me leave the house and keeps me busy during the job hunt. Any suggestions? Tried applying to chains like Express and Footlocker but haven’t really hard back yet.
Hey everyone! Where are we watching Mets Phils Sunday???
Hi all! I am looking for a zoning attorney or expert to consult on a commercial space I am planning for to lease. I want to see if the zoning group on the certificate of occupancy works with the business I’m trying to open in that space.
Appreciate any help here!
Just FYI - the trains are majorly f**ked right now. Been waiting 20 mins at Astoria Blvd with the dreaded “Delay” only sign. They’re also apparently moving a train from service at 39th Ave. Screw their $2.90 BS
Just a warning
I’m a newish transplant from the west coast who’s a big basketball fan. I was wondering if there are any bars in the Astoria area that show Golden State Warriors games.
Thanks everyone! Happy to watch some games with other fans if there are any dub nation folks out here.
I know it’s a longshot, but did anyone receive two packages at their address that aren’t theirs? If so, please dm me! Delivery was allegedly yesterday 10/3 at 11:56 am, but it looks like it may have been misdelivered. I ordered a neck pillow and desperately need it lol.
Hello again and again.
You’ve possibly, even likely, seen my previous posts and I’m here again to talk myself up. I’m a massage therapist and gluten-free baker based in Astoria.
I’ve been doing massage for close to nine years after I graduated from the Swedish Institute in Chelsea. As for baking, I’ve been doing it most of my life and only in recent years have switched to gluten-free, even deciding to form a business out of these two passions earlier this year.
What’s more is that come 10/13, I’ll be joining with the Astoria Mystic Circle at the 31st Ave Open Street providing chair massage and macarons (dairy-free). Would love to see any of you come down even if it’s just to say hello. My Instagram is below and if you need baked goods or massage, feel free to send me a message there!

Hi all! I'm really interested in getting into some sort of workout class in Astoria and would love some recs for where to go. I am quite out of shape so definitely want a more comfortable space for beginners, and hopefully on the more affordable side. I don't really have a preference for type of workout--maybe something like zumba or cycling but open to other things as well. Any recommendations are appreciated!
Neighborhood yard sale on 42nd street between 23rd Ave and Ditmars! Tons of fun and cool stuff for everyone! Stop by!
Hi all - construction on the roads around the west side of 31st Ave and surrounding streets up and down 21st steet has been constant this summer. I nearly got boxed in earlier today. Where can you find the latest accurate information about where street parking regulations temporarily change due to construction and when they’re lifted?
They tore down Riccardo's last year and right now we've got an empty lot. There are three gourmet coffee shops within a five block radius and NO SUPERMARKETS! This neighborhood is insane.
Are there any groups that ride out of Astoria? It seems like Brooklyn has all the good ones like @ridgewoodrides. I am aware of the social cycling rides on Tuesday Thursday as well but I mean consistently leave from Astoria. Could always start one as well
