Photographs and Videos are not allowed in the Station or Train

I've been traveling around the United States and noticed that taking photos or videos of local transit systems with a phone or camera is often prohibited by staff.

This is true even if you're not posting the images or videos online (such as on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube), but just enjoying them privately or sharing with fellow enthusiasts.

When did it become illegal to take photos in public spaces like subway stations?

The USDOT has awarded $400k to study the Environmental, Economic, and Quality of Life benefits possible with reactivating the Rockaway Beach Branch, AKA, QueensLink. Meanwhile, Mayor Adams is trying to fast-track a transit-blocking park. Your financial support will help prevent that from happening.
Thanks for helping us reach our $100k (20%) matching requirement.

Best way to get from JFK to Wall Street (Fulton St) on a Saturday with 4 suitcases—Subway or something else?

Hi, I’ll be traveling with 3 others, and we’re arriving at JFK on a Saturday. We’re thinking of taking the subway to get to Wall Street (Fulton St Station), but since we’ll have 4 large suitcases, I’m wondering if it’s manageable or if it would be better to take a taxi, rideshare, or shuttle.

I’ve looked into two routes:

  1. Howard Beach Route:
    • Take the AirTrain to Howard Beach Station (cost: $8.25 per person).
    • Transfer to the A train and take it downtown towards Inwood-207 St.
    • Get off at Fulton St Station (total subway fare: $2.90 per person).
  2. Jamaica Station Route:
    • Take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station (cost: $8.25 per person).
    • Transfer to the E train towards World Trade Center.
    • Get off at Fulton St Station (total subway fare: $2.90 per person).

The Howard Beach route looks more straightforward, but I’m not sure which one is better for carrying luggage or how crowded the trains are on a Saturday. Has anyone done this trip before, and would you recommend the subway in our situation, or would it be better to use a different form of transport?

Thanks a lot for any advice!
