News, pictures and discussion about the London Underground network.

It's confusing for those unfamiliar with the network when they get on the Bakerloo line intending to go somewhere like Wembley when the train terminates at Queen's Park instead of Harrow & Wealdstone like the map shows. They don't realise they have to take the next Bakerloo or Overground train and it's a bit unintuitive.
With the full extension to Hayes and there being planned depots in the area, there will be no need for the ones at Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone. It's unnecessary for the lines to share the track and having only 1 would allow for more trains per hour. Currently there isn't capacity for an increased number of Overground trains to Euston but after the station is rebuilt there should be.
This would have the benefit of an easier to understand service and increased frequency for those on the line north of Queens Park.
Following extensive works, the temporary speed restrictions which were placed on the Central Line in February are now being lifted.
The speed restrictions which were put in place on Friday 23rd February, are being removed in the coming hours. Any speed restrictions which haven't been removed will most likely be removed by the start of service, tomorrow morning. Areas which were affected, as of yesterday:
Loughton (Both directions)
Woodford (Both directions)
Newbury Park (Outer Rail)
Leytonstone - Leyton (Westbound)
Leyton - Stratford (Westbound)
Stratford - Mile End (Both directions)
Bethnal Green - Mile End (Eastbound)
Queensway - Lancaster Gate (Eastbound)
Shepherd's Bush - White City (Westbound)
East Acton - White City (Westbound)
North Acton - East Acton (Eastbound)
TSRs on other lines will remain until further notice.
Part of the loop on the central line is “pulsing” but no indication why?
No lifts at Bermondsey... TFL advice for disabled people is to stay on the train to Canada Water (almost a mile away) and return by street level back to Bermondsey 🫣... of that £500m Sadiq Khan amazing found last week, can you fix the 100s of broken lifts.
Any idea what this is about? I had a closer look and it looks like a large vinyl sticker with a concrete effect/pattern.

A question megathread will be stickied to the top of our subreddit every Tuesday to catch all of your questions, big or small.
Do you have a question about the Underground, or maybe even the greater London network? Ask it here and our knowledgeable community will endeavour to answer it. Last week's iteration can be found here.
Please note that going forward, all questions posted outside of this thread will be moderated away/deleted.
I don't know why I posted this. Thought it will be interesting
Northern Line needs a new train because the 1995 stock has noise pollution and the wheels are too loud. We need a new train
I mean what IS going on? If the perpetual unreliability of the Central line isn’t enough to disgruntle customers, it’s the bleedin’ speed limits! Most noticeably on my regular commute is the bit between Mile End and Stratford going eastbound. I’ve just timed it and it took 5 minutes and 14 seconds. Madness I tell thee!
