I'm assuming this is the correct place to post this but not sure.

So I was playing SkyrimSE (modded with the Gates To Sovngarde collection). When I first went to load up the game Steam said it was unable to sync to the cloud so I canceled the load and re started the game with nk error message this time. At the start everything was fine, but then all of a sudden whenever i was quick saving/auto saving all of my old saves disappeared from the list and was only showing the recent saves, before I could manual save the game crashed and now when I load up I've lost quite a few hours of gameplay. When I check my saves folder I have the auto saves from the lost hours in there but they won't show up when I load the game.

Does anyone know how to help with this?

Edit: So the save files show up in the Show All Saves but won't show up under the character saves like they normally do. So I have the saves back but not in the correct place? Is there a way to fix this? I can still save the game but seems like its just not saving under the character as usual

I recently started playing Skyrim again after getting it on the Switch (I played on Xbox all the time as a kid) and I just remembered how stupid the Bandits in this game are. You all know the meme "Oh hey it's the gay guy who slays Dragons, has the best equipment and who has killed thousands of Bandits like us. Let's Mug him." but do they have to be so stupid? They don't surrender, retreat or stop attacking until they die. Even when they do retreat, they wait to heal and then attack you again. Why are they so dumb? I kind of understand when you're just starting out and aren't the Dragonborn or a famous warrior yet but they keep doing it after you have endgame loot.

I get that it's a game and they're just generic enemy characters but it's partly funny and honestly a little annoying.

Okay. So I do the companions quest line right? Always as the same character...

And then when I'm done, the Companions... VANISH FROM THE GAME.

Legit. They don't appear when you highlight their miscellaneous objective, they're not anywhere they're supposed to be, they are just fucking GONE.

Somebody help here. Please. I'm on switch so I can't fix with console commands.

I’m a hugeeee fan of Skyrim but haven’t got a lot of experience in similar games. I like the medieval fantasy setting (Victorian would be okay, too), I’m a completionist so love side quests and checklists, I like spooky or fantasy themes, but not looking for an extremely intensely difficult experience (Dark Souls?) as I’m still an amateur. What would you recommend?

I killed multiple people during the dark brotherhood quest and now I have a bounty of 4500 I don't feel like paying. If I complete the stormcloak quest line, will my bounty clear?

I have all the perks for being a werewolf. If I become a vampire lord and eventually come back to being a werewolf, will all the perks still be maxxed out?

Anyone know some good ways to gain an insane amount of xp? Tryna trophy hunt on PS4 and 5 and wanna get the level and dragon trophies punched out, any good ways?

Decided to boot up Skyrim again with a pure mage build and tried to balance things by forgoing the enchanting skill entirely, but even on Legendary difficulty, the game just feels...too easy IMO. I also decided to swear off Unbound Storms since it's basically an auto-dungeon clearer, but it's still not enough.

I realize some content is just going to be too OP to engage with, but I was wondering if anyone had tips on balancing Skyrim that isn't just "Go back to SE". What difficulty do you play your rule sets on? I'd also love to hear what builds you're using, so I have a reference for non-mage characters.

I have the skyrim SE (the autoupgraded version of the every udpate and so on), and i dont know what mods should i play this time. have you a collection raccomanded? or overhaul?

Paarthurnax, the wise, willed by Kyne herself had turned against Alduin fought for Humans, played crucial aspect In overthrowing the dragon rule. After Felldir the old banished Alduin, he remained on Guard, knowing Alduin didn't die but merely went forward in time, spending thousands of years on throat of the world awaiting, trying to stop alduin's return, Kin to other Dragonborn emperors who protected him from Akaviri Dragonguard and later the Blades.

When Alduin returned now old he fought with us, Dovahkiin as a brother against Alduin. He did more than Blades ever did to us. But.

I have never done it, but Think it this way, you may be the last dragonborn, last man with ability to end dragons from nirn, dragons are immortal but Dovahkiin? he is mortal. one day he will go to Sovngarde. but what if, Paarthurnaax, the wise turns evil and starts his rule over Nirn? there is no guarantees. we saw Alduin First born of Akatosh, betray his cause and rule in tyranny. Is Dovahkiin, ready to put humans, elves, beastfolks at stake for a word of trust?

I have never done it, but it has always troubled me, was it the right decision? What do you guys think?

This is another reason why I want to know what happened after ES:Skyrim.

I literally have 4 copies of Glories & Laments now but the quest just won't progress past me finding a copy. Is it really broken?

I lost her somewhere in Fallowstone Cave. I cannot find her and looked everywhere in the cave. I She is not dead. I cannot hire other followers, and her bed is “owned” in Breezehome. I slept 3 days in my bed and she didn’t respawn. She isn’t in DragonSearch or Breezehome or Hall of Dead.

Is there a way i can dismiss her without having her in front on me?

I got the Shalidor's Writing quest. it sent me to Wolf Skull cave. i have already been through the cave for the "The Man Who Cried Wolf" quest. i was able to reset the quest with console commands, however it still sent me to Wolf Skull Cave. am i able to change the quest location somehow? or is there a way to reset the dungeon so i can get the book i need?

This only started happening after completing the dawnbreaker quest. Is there a way to fix this problem without going back all of those saves and not completing that quest?

okay, I’ve played vanilla loads of times and I still do from time to time but since I discovered mods a 2 ish years ago it’s really leveled up my gaming BUT why doesn’t Xbox have an easier way to organize the load order? 😭

I’ve only redid my mods like 3 times because it literally takes me ages to get them in the right spot so I don’t crash the game or make it unplayable.

is there a secret to load order on Xbox or should I just buy a PC lmao

I noticed I was on the easiest difficulty (This is my first playthrough of Skyrim) and I wanted to try out something a little tougher but when I increase the difficulty, my carry capacity gets cut in half. I didn't enable survival mode and all my googling says it shouldn't happen, so why does it?

Okay, am I the only one that has noticed how BROKEN finishers are in an early playthrough of the game on Legendary difficulty? I swear to God, each time I get into a fight an NPC will always somehow perform a finisher on me in one shot from like 10 feet away from me. It's actually very annoying.

But then again, this is Skyrim so I shouldn't be talking lol

Is the mod menu gone for anyone else? I’m on PS
