Apologies if this has already been posted but anyone else on the PC had the game failing to open first time again? seems 90% of the time i have to launch the game a second time as it stops on the Cryptic loading screen the first time it runs. Had this ages ago but it seemed to get better but past month or so its come back. Any reason for this?

I just got the Halloween event sword, and I wonder how it compares to the Mind Meld Device.

I like how the sword always auto-closes small gaps, and the 3rd move is pretty epic, and seems to have a decent arc to it.

But the MMD Finishers just see HUGE dopamine-pumping numbers! I've ended many Boss fight's early with the MMD!

What is everyone else's favorite ground melee?

Ps. I Always having my second ground be a melee, for Borg and other Physically weak mobs, but I usually use my Breen Winter Gun.

So I've been part of a slightly less than active fleet for a while on my KDF character, and while we're making good progress towards the level 85 mark, we don't have our colony fully upgraded yet. Is it possible to just be invited to a different player's fleet that is maxed?

Do the silly restrictions on KDF characters still apply to prevent them from being invited to a Fed aligned colony? I have some friends in a UFP level 85 fleet, but I don't think I can go to their colony.

Or is there a specific chat channel in game I can ask about this in?

Recently I had serious issues with the game connection, often I wasn't able to log in, and despite my net speed, it was super laggy. I decided to uninstall and reinstall the game, but after I do that in arc, the Cryptic Launcher Autoupdate is super slow. It doesn't even want to download 180Mb properly, it stops at a 100 or 70, and even that takes hours to take. Anyone experienced similar issues?

Looking for something to play, and always had an eye on this. I know it's an older game, but I look forward to diving in. I'm sure I can find all kinds of infor searching the sub, just figured I'd do an intro post. Started ona Romulan playthrough. I'm sure I'll have multiple characters. Definitely want to do a Klingon playthrough lol!

Potentially stupid question: I’ve just started playing a few days ago and am loving it as a long time Star Trek fan - I really like the look of the NX-01 Refit in the Zen store, is it worth buying and is it viable to use indefinitely or will I hit a brick wall with it and not be able to use it down the road? Love the game, and I've played on and off for about 2 years. I'm terrible when it comes to learning the intricacies of the game and how everything ties together, but I really want to work on my ship and my team.

Thinking about starting from scratch, as I'm level 65 but only have a T5 ship and it kind of sucks. A lovely fellow player on here gave me the Hirogen Heavy Escort, which was great, but I'm excited to work towards a Federation T6.

I know I have to grind, but in the meantime, what's the best way for me to slowly build a strong Away Team and T5 ship? (I've heard others say the T5s are just kinda crappy anyway though)

Anyone else noticed you can no longer trade in reputation marks for Dil on Playstation?

I am tiny in real life, and like being tiny, (like stature not anything weird) and it would be fun to play as a character of any race that is very small compared to the character's around them, but I would prefer not to play a ferengi. What are my options?

It says AP Dmg and DoTs but the Tholian Crystal Radiation projector doesn't trigger it, the Kentari Partisan Residuum Thrower and Martian Mining Laser don't and the "Blob" from the Plasma Biomatter Rifle also doesn't trigger it Even though they all do DoT or not?

It's been about 5 years since I played and need to know what is decent DPS for ground and space missions?

So, im trying to make a new federation fleet and need players to join my team. Im playing on console

I'm tinkering with a toon flying a Blackguard FDC and was thinking of doing turrets for the main energy armament, would appreciate suggestions if this is a viable idea or should stick to arrays or cannons

I can't log in, keeps disconnecting on character login. On the very rare occasion I get in, 30s lag doing anything. I managed to get into event patrol once, and same thing, 30s "lag" (can't call a 30s delay and rubber-band lag really)
