So i got this plant from my dad when he moved and didnt want to keep it.
I dont even know what plant this is but its getting so tall its starting to lean real bad. I have a string tying the taller stalk to the shorter one but now its pulling the short one as well.
Are there any good ideas on how to support the plant? Ive also considered cutting the tall one shorter and replanting but im not sure this type of plant can do that. (I have a ruber tree and that things imortal)
I dont want to just cut it and do nothing as the tall stalk doesnt have leaves untill like 7’ high.
What should I do here? Is this a sign that she is getting too little water? Or too much? Should I cut away the brown colour?
If I help it self pollinate by cottonswapping between the flowers, could it actually go into full fruitation? My spidey senses tell me it won't happen, because even though it's in a south facing window, we only still have maybe six hours of somewhat good day light at the moment in The Netherlands!
Im worried about my plants during these hard times And I live 9b It's reaching 24 degrees and I'm worried about my plants
Hi guys, My mum needs suggestions for flowering plants that she can get for the upcoming winter season. Although it doesn't snow or gets very cold in winters at my place, sunlights isn't always there and hence it would be great if those plants don't require a lot of sunlight.
My mum has all kinds of plants which she maintains herself and is also fascinated about plants as well. So maintainence wouldn't be a problem as well!
Accidentally left my 4 year old monstera out in the cold for a couple days and it got down to 28-30 degrees. Just want to know if it can be saved and what needs to be done Thank you
I’ve been out of the game for a little while and I’m starting to get back into it. I see that LED has come extremely far are used to use high pressure sodium and excellent results. This might not be the case anymore. I was looking at the spider farmers g4500 or the gs looks to fit the tent even but I know having best results requires good lighting. I’m going to do photo but a few auto during my veg What are your thoughts. A lot has changed in the last 10 years on what’s available and i might want to go led instead of hps to see the difference.
I killed my last pathos that was in this spot. But it was unhealthy when I got it. I have had this N’Joy Pathos for a few months now and has been doing pretty good. Lately it’s had a lot of leaves dying on me. And the leaves towards the ends of the stems are staying small. This window is a south facing window that gets plenty of light in the Summer/Fall. Is this normal for this plant?
Accidentally grew a little pumpkin sprout after feeding my isopods some pumpkin lol. Looking for advice on how to keep it alive, I've watered the enclosure as normal and it has been growing quickly, but I'm afraid the pods might eat it or it won't het enough light. Thanks!
I just got this cute Groot planter as a gift. What can you suggest that would do well in a planter like this? I’m just past beginner level when it comes to plants so nothing too difficult…I’ve never kept a succulent alive 😔 I live in a cold climate so this would be indoors under grow lights.
What is this/Is this cat safe?
I found this poor buddy being tossed by the Starbucks by me. It’s clearly in dire shape and I will accept it’s passing and love the nice pot it’s in. But should my mother and I be able to save it, would it even be safe around our cats? One has a plant chewing problem so we can’t afford to trifle.
Thank you for any and all help!
