I got this plant from a coworker about 6 months ago (sorry can’t remember the name of the plant) and recently I have been leaving the windows open during the night to cool it down in my apartment. I live in AZ so it gets down to about 50 degrees during the night but the apartment will be about 67 in the morning.
It used to stand up straighter and look stronger, but now it’s been dropping the past few weeks. Is this caused by the cold air?
I grew her from a live plant at the grocery and now she’s so happy she keeps throwing buds out. I read that you’re not supposed to let sweet basil flower because it’ll take away from the potency, and I also read that you’re supposed to prune only after 4 nodes. She’s throwing a bud out after like 1-2 nodes on pretty much every new growth. How do I go about this?
Hi plant lovers!
I’m new to the wonderful world of indoor plants and am slowly growing my collection. As my little jungle expands, I’m starting to realize that watering all my plants is becoming a bit of a chore. Right now, I’m using a 1–1.5L watering can I picked up from the hardware store, but it’s starting to feel inadequate.
I’ve seen some larger watering cans and pump sprayers online, but I’m unsure if they’ll provide the control I need for indoor use without making a mess.
What are you all using for watering your indoor plants? Do you have any recommendations for larger-capacity watering cans or systems that work well indoors? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks in advance! 🌿
Business in the front, party in the back! 😂
Hey, everyone! This might not be the most usual question for this subreddit, but I'm trying to find plants that represent the four horsemen of the apocalypse. I've found plants to represent war, famine, and death, but not conquest. Does anyone have some ideas?
I forgot to bring my Christmas cactus’s inside before the snow last night….are they gonna make it? I’m so sad. I feel like they are gonna be ok, it’s just their arms are so wilted looking. I feel so bad!! Any suggestions would be helpful. (And yes I know bring your plants before it gets cold in is a great suggestion but it hasn’t been that cold where I’m at litterally until about day ago)
This is Basilton the basil plant. I’m really not sure what’s wrong (too much water? Not enough water?) but I would really like to save him if possible cause currently he is slowly dying which is very sad. If anyone knows what I should do let me know so I can save Basilton 🙏
Hi! I was wondering how do you care for a pearl and jade pothos in winter? Do you water it less or more? Any care recommendations are appreciated. Mine has been getting more brown leaves than usual, I have the suspicion its from a lack of humidity so should I buy a humidifier or something? 😭
Received this pothos stem and after keeping the cut end in a water glass for a week, the leaves are yellow and falling off. Should I trim and plant in soil? I’ve never had a pothos plant before so I’m not too sure how to get this one started correctly. Will it root in the soil if the stem makes contact? Any help greatly appreciated, TIA! 🙏🏻
It started to turn yellow and brown on the edge i dont know what could be the problem i thought it was the sun so i changed it but this leaf changed colors too so i dont know anymore
Just went out this AM to find the lower half of my beloved Rosemary bush super brown and the needles falling off. I don’t recall this happening last year when the seasons changed, but I could be wrong. If it is dying, how can I save it?? I love this bush so much, and use it all the time. I live in the Pacific Northwest, if that matters.
I repotted my nerve plant and it went so bad I’m thinking of never buying a plant ever again. I feel like I absolutely executed this thing. The before and after is so insane. Should I plan a funeral soon or hold out hope? I’m thinking I repotted it in a too short pot and then overwatered it.
20 dollars at Lowe’s guys run this one is surprisingly healthy it looks like poor quality soil but it’s costa farms it has really good variegation too
i got them about a week ago and have been taking care of them to the best of my knowledge. i'm begging and pleading for any help and advice!! the one on the left is a golden pothos and the one on the right is an emerald pothos
Out of curiosity we planted this seed and are now proud parents of this baby. Now that she’s growing bigger, I’m wondering if I need to repot now? Or this works? It’s my first time successfully growing a plant from seed! Thank you!
