Found the perfect Bird’s nest fern for my new (aka thrifted) planter!

Inspired by Nautiluses, it needs a name, any ideas?

My first plant corner!

My first plants! A pothos, money tree, and a bromelaid. So nice to have some green in my house besides these mint greenish walls.

When to repot a Cactus

Hi all,

I’m not new to plants as a whole but I’m new to having cacti. I asked for a couple different ones last summer for my birthday. One in particular has grown a lot and in the coming months I plan on repotting some of my plants in bigger pots. How can you tell when to repot a cactus? I’ve attached a photo of one in particular. I would say this one has probably tripled in size.

I feel like this is a silly question but, I normally gauge when I see roots coming from the bottom of the pot.

Help identifying

Can anyone help me identify what kind of plant this is? I got it as a gift, I believe it was purchased from Aldi. Thank you!

Is this a problem with my soil?

I just transplanted this little guy from water a few weeks ago.

The soil looks to have weird spots. Maybe mold? I’m pretty new to plant care so I’m a bit lost. I’d love some advice identifying and solving how to help this guy out.

My dream was always to grow tulips

I got some Stella Rijnveld and Queen of the Night.

I wanted dark tulips for The Black Tulip by Alexandre Dumas, the Stella because they slightly resemble a Semper Augustus—even though I doubt they were parrots. It was the most expensive tulip from tulip-mania.

I named the pot Erebus, inspired by both tulips and the manga/anime Pluto

Erebus is a place of night and darkness spirits must cross to get to hades, Hades is another name for Pluto, and the HMS Erebus was a ship that set on a journey of hubris and met a tragic fate.

Help my money plant!

I bought this a year ago and it was doing well until a few months ago when the weather got cold. I’ve recently moved it from the window sill to a table to hopefully stay away from the cold but any advice will be helpful!
